Shark Vacuum reviews and complaints

The vacuum works for 15 minutes and then shuts down. Called customer service 5 times and keep getting the rudest agents from India. They refuse to help and when I say I want the unit replaced, the last representative told me he would not accept that language and that I needed to know this was a professional call? There was never any vulgar language at all! The company will not replace defective units and it is clear that when you have an issue, they are trained to give you the runaround. When you demand a replacement, they become belligerent and call you the unprofessional one. Now, they pick up the phone with an attitude and refuse to help. Companies with customer service like this, need to be boycott!

I purchased the Shark Performance Lift-Away Upright Vacuum in November of 2020 and registered the product the same month. After less than one year of normal use, the ball bearings for the roller brush dislodged and were found all over the floor. I called Shark customer service, and they advised that for over $100 plus tax and shipping they would send out a new head assembly. I can't believe that I would have to replace this particular part in just over a year. I would not recommend this product or their customer service dept. The Model is UV700 Series, SN:11K310324F8

I purchased a Shark vacuum a year and a half ago. The rollerbar/brushbar bristles have all worn down but Shark does not sell the replacement bar for this particular model. They sell multiple other brushbar replacements for different models, just not this model. Given Costco's generally high standard of product, this is a product that perhaps should not be sold through Costco. While it was a great price, if I cannot easily or at all replace certain parts that wear out this quickly, the cost savings seems to not be there.
