ken Direct TV bundled with AT&T Internet

Thank the Lord, I did not continue purchase of Direct TV and bundle with AT&T Internet.

We are moving to another city needing to setup our Internet and TV services. Since we already purchase DirecTV because I became disenchanted with Charter Communications almost two years ago, I decided to keep DirecTV and add AT&T Internet bundle in our move. This seemed simple enough. Yet DirecTV/AT&T screwed-up an easy sale into an up-yours.

After spending an hour trying to arrange the move with DirecTV the phone call was dropped. We called back but to our chagrin we were informed that we would have lot start the arrangements over. Harrumph for a better term than what I'm thinking.

Soooo, instead I decide to go online to research Charter Cable/Internet and and DirecTV/AT&T Internet. Well gee, Charter was $137.xx for everything and DirecTV had previously quoted $198.xx for TV and Internet. Charter had 60 megabits per sec and AT&T could only offer 6 megabits per sec DSL. Ok, not equal but inquiring further, AT&T has caps on how much data before excessive usage fees recommending that video and Netflix not be downloaded or we would most likely experience a $49.99 overage surcharge.

Twenty-one months ago I switched to DirecTV because I despised Charter's customer and tech service. Since then, I learned that DirecTV went out every thunder storm not because of the rain but because the clouds were too thick to receive a signal. Gee, no use calling DirecTV for their problem but now I shouldn't be bothered to call Charter if the cable rarely goes out since DirecTV goes out ever storm. This was the best explanation I received from DirecTV's own boots on the ground repairman.

Anyway, after having our over an hour call dropped with DirecTV then comparing Charter to DirecTV/AT&T, I'll be getting the same crummy customer service with a better connection to Charter while saving $50 per month and no contract.

NO BRAINER
