I was told if I write a letter to them that they will cancel it whenever they receive the letter without any refun
I have had several phone conversations with the Readers Leagueabout being able to cancel my agreement because of some financial problems and all I get is a no we can't cancel your order because I made an agreement with them which I understand but I don't need them to keep going into my account and the money is not there, that's what I was trying to explain to them but they didn't want to hear that.They are so rude to you on the telephone.I was told if I write a letter to them that they will cancel it whenever they receive the letter without any refund so that mean that they are still going into my account and the money is not there.
Unauthorized changes
I've never heard of this company; I've never talked to anyone from this company. All of a sudden, I'm being "thanked" for ordering 8 different expensive" magazines from them, and the "billing" is being done through "automatic deductions" from my personal banking account. I have no idea who these people are. How this information was obtained? I have no idea, but it "HAS" been deducted for one magazine already. Like other complaints I have read on this website about this company, no one answers the 800 phone# when I called to get this corrected. I'm scared too, that they could "empty" my bank-account. I have no idea who these people are. What can I do to get this stopped? Thank you for any help.

Misrepresntation-rudeness
I had the misfortune of having an account with this company. The harassment began when I thought I was being nice and gave a gift subscription to my grandmother. As a result, she got magazines she did not want nor need and bills. Then, after paying the past bill, I got a phone call stating that I had not paid my account. I told the folks that I would pay on another day. I was not aware of this at the time, but later on I learned that as I hung up the phone, my roommate (who also answered the phone) said that the telemarketer went, "She hung up on me. She can't pay until Friday. Liar, liar, pants on fire!" I was livid. If you get a call from them, hang up screaming in their ears.

I also got harrassed by them. The charges are not clearly stated. I wrote the letter to cancel magazine subscriptions after being charged outrageous amount. Was informed by this company that my request was received, but i am still responsible for remaining balance. Still being harrassed daily, have had 6 different phone numbers call. Blocking each one then a different number calls.
