Since it's prom season I went into the store looking for a dress. I didn't even get the chance to try anything on as I was told there was nothing I would be able to afford. Chez Moi Studio Unprofessional Staff

Firstly, I have NEVER been treated with so much disrespect in my life. Upon entering the store, the manager, Mandy, had asked what I was looking for and I said I was interested in a specific designer's dress, and she then proceeded to rudely go off on me saying that there were countless dresses that fit my description and to just go upstairs myself to look for the dress. I should"ve known then and there that this was a store I should not do business with, but I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. I saw that the dress was not there and told the manager and she said she would order the dress for me. When she made the call to the dress company, she told me not to speak and so I just stood there while she carried on the transaction, without ever mentioning the price I would be paying. Then when she wrote out a receipt after the phonecall and I was shocked at the price she had written because I would NEVER agree to it. But she said that the order was already placed and that I could do nothing about it. I figured I would just live with the dress because there was nothing I could do at that moment. The next day I went to another boutique and saw that I could have ordered the same dress for $100 less! When I called Chez Moi to ask for a cancellation, they proceeded to bad mouth the other store saying that I would probably never see the dress if I ordered from them, which couldn't be further from the truth because I did in fact receive another dress I ordered 2 weeks earlier than theirs. To add insult to injury, the owner told me to go to hell and not step into the store, but afterwards the manager picked up and said she would give me a discount. When I went to Chez Moi the other day to pick up my dress, I was amazed to see the poor construction of the dress, missing feathers and uneven hem lines to name a few. I had tried on the dress at another store and this felt like a bad copy of the dress and a totally different dress altogether. The manager even seemed to take notice of the damaged dress but refused to do anything about it and called me a prima donna and a b____(female dog). She then told me to get out of her store or that she would call the cops. I was truly dumbfounded by her actions as all I wanted was the dress that was promised to me. She then started to call me crazy and rudely snapped, " Is this how you asian people work?" while raising her eyes to her forehead with her fingers. I was disgusted by her remark and this made me want to leave the store on my own accord, but I already had a deposit with them and did not want to lose it. She said she wanted nothing to do with me and that I was banned from the store and then called the cops on me. PLEASE DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE OVERCHARGED AND TREATED LIKE A SECOND-CLASS CITIZEN! I am living proof that racism still exists and am truly indignant that a business could be running in this way. They have the worst manners and are thugs in disguise. If you shop here, you will regret it and please don't make the same mistake I did in shopping here.
