CBE group Inc reviews and complaints
Harassment
As I am beginning to notice while reading through the pages and pages of reviews on this company, each one more horrible than the next, I am not sure how they have not been shut down.
I had a very similar experience to these other people, I was being called 3 or more times a day, sometimes as many as ten for the past week. They never left a message, so I never answered it. Anyone worth anything leaves a message if they really needed to call.
However, I called the number back to find out what it was, assuming I would get some automated system, which was the case. Got through pretty quick to a representative, and they were looking for someone who is not me, that I do not know. This is ridiculous.
This company should be blacklisted for harassment, I feel bad for the guy who they are actually looking for. Hopefully they do as asked and remove my phone number, or I will be calling again, and will not be as nice the next time.
Worst collection agency group
My daughter sought emergency medical attention 1 year ago. At the time I provided her health insurance information to the physicians group. I have since provided it to CBE group 4 times. For whatever reasons the ###s at the physicians group and CBE group can't submit a bill to an insurance company with the correct information. Three times they typed the account number incorrectly and said the claim was denied. Then they entered the insurance carriers name incorrectly. Lastly they couldn't enter the DOB of the policy holder the correct way. Instead they call me twice a week for 9 months. WHAT IS WRONG WTIH THESE COMPLETE ###S? It's not rocket science to submit an insurance claim. They would rather call me and put me on hold and then repeat their bullship about how the conversation may be recorded...blah, blah, blah. Do your job and stop calling me. Bill the insurance company with the information I gave you 12 months ago.
Harrassment
I first heard from CBE group 3 months ago. At that time, I was advised that a letter would be sent to me along with statements from the credit card company showing when and where my card was used. I had not used that card for about 2 years, and I knew the number had been stolen and used by someone with the company (not CBE, but the credit card company). The letter and statements never arrived, and I received another call about a month later. Again, statements were promised but never arrived, but a letter demanding payement from CBE group did arrive. I answered in writing to them about the use of my credit card number, mailed the letter return receipt requested. About a month later I received the signed return receipt, proving that someone at CBE group received my letter. There has been no response in writing, but the harrassing phone calls have resumed.
Pure ignorance
I like many others have been receiving phone calls 3 times a day for a very long time. This has happened twice with the last phone # I had. After learning that they had the wrong phone # and was asked very politely to please remove my # from their list, the calls continued to come. And now several months later, after changing my phone number, I again am receiving the calls. This time for a different person. I know a lot about the collection laws because I use to be a collector myself. However a very respectful one at that. I never, in all my adult life have ever been treated so disrespectfully. She refused to give me the name of her company and how she came upon my number, because I do know the 9 year old child who lives below me. She refused to answer any of my questions. I went on to try to explain to her about some on the collection laws in the State of MA. She was very rude and arrogant as if nothing could touch her. Well she has quite an eye opener coming to her as I have updated myself on the Laws of today and I have a good case and will be filing a judgment against this company and will prosecute to the full extent the law allows!
There is no option for telling them that they have the wrong number
Does anyone know how to contact this company? I have gone to their website and called several different numbers. They cannot be contacted via e-mail and all I ever get from their customer service numbers are recordings and dead air. I have been getting daily calls for months."This message is for (so and so) if you are not (so and so) hang up now. By continuing to listen to this confidential message you are claiming to be (so and so)"
Then my voicemail cuts them off or I have already hung up. There is no option for telling them that they have the wrong number! I am not the person they are looking for, I wouldn't know the person they are looking for if he slapped me in the face. So, my only option is to hang up. But they just keep on calling.
Please! Can anyone tell me the magic number to dial or the secret code to push during the redording to tell them they have got the wrong flipping person?
I agree with the answer from PSully..
I have found that a Cease & Desist Letter send by certified return reciept mail works, of course you have to be diligent and persistant. Collection companies in general, are bottom feeding-dirt bag debt collection company for several companies orthe IRS. In your letter demand that they stop calling you, and ask for a written verification or validation that you owe any monies. Also, inyour letter tell them the following on you can copy this verbatum, since it has work for me; "This account is incorrect and fraudulent". I refuse to make any payment on any account without legal validation as required by the Fair Debt Collections Act. Therefore, your client (whoever it is) and your offices have violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act in several instances. In each instance there can be a $1, 000.00 fine for violating my credit rights in the pursuit in collecting a non-validated debt. For this reason, I hereby instruct you to cease collection of this debt, for the above referenced account (Add any account number that may have been received in a debt collection letter). Further, it is my personal policy not to deal with collection agencies and I will only deal with the original creditor of this account.
You are hereby instructed to cease collection efforts immediately or face further legal sanctions under applicable Federal and State law. I plan to sue you and your company for three violations, if you firm continues this unlawful collections activity.I look forward to your acknowledgement of that you have received this letter.GIVE THIS LETTER THE IMMEDIATE ATTENTION IT DESERVES. Cordially, Then add your full name, or your name that appears on a debt collection letter Make sure & CC: The US. Fair Trade Commission
Send the letter to CBE Group Inc., as above; And once again, Be sure to send your cease and desist letter certified-return reciept mail. The letter should put a stop to their calls immediately. You may have to send at least one other letter, in the next one, get even nastier! Good Luck..PSully
Harassing phone calls
CBE group called my new cell phone number. I called them back only to get an automated response then a human came on the line without identifying himself. After asking what company he works for he mentioned CBE group. I asked what CBE Group is and he was belligerent! I finally got an answer from him on who he the call was for and it was not for me! I asked that he remove my number from their list. If I see the same number on my cell I want to know who or what agency to call to report harassing calls from this company!
@ IcallBS 9 times out of 10 if one company has that as a contact number for that person then other companies also has that as a good number. I'm not going to lie I have had collectors on my back about bills that I owed and when they called me I gave them the wrong number so they could call somebody else instead of me. If someone has the wrong number its because someone gave that number out, companies don't do it to reach somebody else. Do you know if it is the same company calling you after you told them wrong number.
to 'annoyed collector'. [censored]! You do it because you are trying to make sure you have all the information on a person to continue to harass them. If it were anything else, when soemone said 'hey you're calling the wrong number/person; the phone calls would stop but with scam collector companies (which is the vast majority of them), they will just keep calling and playing games. This is why the current credit reporting/collecting debacle in this country is a farce.
Go to your attorney general's website they have a complaint form if people do not stop calling you.
Once they know its a wrong number, they will stop calling What good would it to do for them to keep calling the wrong person?
