In the past month, there has more hate and retaliation by users who are pro trump. Do the moderators read the reply that was reported? Today A reply of mine was flagged for targeting underage users. The conversation was about a republicans picture of him wearing lingerie my reply was about a republican being investigated for have sex with a 17 year old girl and sex trafficking. I have been accused of hate speech. Those two were overturned. Yet so many hateful insulting spreading of information hardly ever gets pulled.

I ended up being quite active in the Finnish Quora during the last year, and according to your records quite a popular contributor.

This year the main theme has been the Russian invasion of Ukraine. A few week back your moderator, Elena Liski, disactivated my account and later disabled the possibility of commenting in any language.

As her first name is Russian I assume that she is at least half-Russian, and thus biased to anti-Russian commentary. The way things have developed in Ukraine I have found it ekstremely hard to find anything positive to say about Russians, but still kept civil tone in my comments.

I do, for example, not use the traditional expression "Ryssä" for a Russian, that in modern Finnish has the same level of negative connotations as using the N word to describe a black person. Consequently I always write "Venäläinen", which is the neutrally correct way of referring to a Russian.

Up until my exlusion I used my own name, Yrjänä Tynkkynen, but afterwards I have not wished to be assosiated with the site, so I have chaged to the alias "Se siitä sitten" (So much for that).

All I said is muslims do not hate jews, we do not want palestinians homeless and our sacred mosque destroyed. Unless your biased and pro isreal, this answer is peaceful

I am so sick at age 81 of having to identify myself just to read some facts about archeology. I went to another source! So tedious to have to keep track of passwords and why in the heck does it matter if I'm 18 or over. This is information I can get elsewhere. I don't have time for your stuff!

Its been 5 years that I have been noticing how flexible Quora policies are in promoting hatred and abuse against Islam. Anyone can pop up with false acquisitions against Prophets of Islam specially Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him, people can literally twist sentences from Quran into their own twisted version and keep comparing Islam with religions where god breeds with his own created children or cow's urine is compulsory if animals created you. Dare you return the favor and discuss the abnormalities of Christianity or Judaism or Hindu, you will be banned, deleted and not allowed to even write! Even if you belong to a different faith and do not believe any humans should be killed based on their skin color, ethnicity or religion then try discussing positive things about Islam and you will see how you will be attacked by the paid retired psychos of Quora. Within seconds your account will be blocked and your comments will be deleted while hate speech against Islam is all over Quora and never deleted despite reporting it is unnecessary attack on Muslims who are the new blacks and want to live in peace. In the past, they claimed no discrimination against Muslims yet you can literally search any hate towards Muhammad or Islam and you will find Millions of articles upvoted by Quora but not a single one against any other religion.

Quora needs to stop promoting hatred against Islam. If they think all the notorious beliefs of other religions should not be disturbed then why have they exempted Islam? God knows who they think they are fooling.

I really dont understand WHY Quora just removes my post. I am providing VALUE to questions people are asking. I am a business and marketing coach, I don't even put links in my answers that I post and Quora removes them... I Give up. Quora, You lost me.

I have been on Quora since 2016. These last two years, Quora is not immediately pulling "political "posts, bigotry and extreme hate even if it's been reported. Posts that are racist, anti Semitic, mass posting of inappropriate comments to only women on Quora, extreme foul language and the spreading of deadly misinformation that FB and Twitter won't tolerate.
What is the most disturbing thing is how poorly written the programming is regarding Quoras algorithms and bots. Since anonymous posts are banned, people have been setting up multiple accounts that have no profile, each with a fake and with a few random answers for show. They post only in replies because of Quora's faulty criteria to pull a post. They know the more replies they get, the better chance for it not to be pulled.
There is no effort to monitor this.

Meanwhile it's very obvious how this all leans to the far right on Quora, the algorithms will immediately flag a post for violations of Quora's policies which baffles the writer or flag it or when someone reports it because their feeling are hurt or when called out for their bigotry or denying factual information.
Appeals go nowhere. Sometimes one cannot appeal the decision.

It's getting worse and worse and Quora doesn't seem to care.

Information on the internet
indicates that Quora might be a scam similar to internet startups that crashed the market and lost a lot of investor money when Clinton was US president. It might also be used to inflate taxable values.

Since its 2009 startup, it has been valued in increasing billions, but its income is negligible millions from ads that cover less than half of employee salaries. The salaries average more than $100k.

Quora borrows the remainder. It has begun or plans layoffs, tho job openings are approx 35% of job slots.

Quora pays some users pennies to write questions & answers, thereby encouraging them to post 100s of items that are misleading, exploitive, wrong and hurtful.

To stir up emotions is to increase traffic to the site. The traffic seems to explain the site's multi billion dollar value that justifies the loans that sustain the employees.

The traffic is also valuable because of what naive users reveal about themselves that can be used to fine tune the marketing of products and propaganda throughout news and entertainment media. Thus, the loans might be write-offs to pay for the data.

Coincidentally, Forbes reported a massive data breach. It might be a cover story to explain why the media feels too personal. It also raises questions about the qualifications of Quora's IT staff.

Mount Airy City Schools (North Carolina) received this link from a concerned citizen. I clicked it and found some very explicit conversations and images. They claim to be from Mount Airy High but they have no one by that name.
Concern that he is an older male targeting young females.

Quora uses public utilities to censor free speech while supporting racist views. If this is considered acceptable events like Jan 6, 2020 will become all to common. When I refuted a racist remark my comment was deleted by Quora. Please complain to the FCC when speech is censored in favor of supporting racism it jeopardizes everyone's democracy. Quora's support of racist views needs a public warning so ppl can decide if this site is acceptable to parents.

I have been a Quora user since 2017 and I've asked some controversial questions which got thousands of views and likes. Many of these questions were about US government conspiracies, corruption of law enforcement, flat earth conspiracies, historical inaccuracies, the truth about the middle ages, Anatoly Fomenko, Phantom time hypothesis, and much more. I've spent countless hours of research on these subjects and provided links to websites for further validation. However, it wasn't until I began asking questions about YouTube censorship and the FCC that I got banned from Quora. I was sent an email saying that Quora has noticed many of my questions were assumptions, speculations or baseless claims, and that my Quora privledges have been removed until further notice. I have not been able to log into my account for several months. This is obviously censorship, and is a violation of the 1st Amendment of the Constitution which Quora seems to be more of a left leaning platform and censors anyone with conservative views. If you're not a socialist or communist, you will be banned on Quora. If you ask questions about government conspiracies or flat earth conspiracies, you'll be banned on Quora. Another way they will censor your controversial questions is by not allowing the question to be seen by other Quorans. I've also experienced many people making rude comments who also claim that they know who I am. Yet, they allow these Quorans who obviously stalk and intimidate users who are conservative, or who ask conspiracy related questions to keep their accounts open! Quora cherry picks the questions that it wants it's users to see, and censors the questions that are controversial. If you ask a controversial question even in a polite way, Quora will vote down the question and mark it as " not a sincere question". Then the question is blocked from being seen by Quora. I'm not sure who Quora thinks they are by censoring controversial or conspiracy related questions, but that is a direct attack and violation of the 1st Amendment which allows freedom of speech! By censoring certain questions they are censoring the people and seem to lean toward silencing anyone who doesn't subscribe to their political correctness!

A British person stated that the Americans are wrong. Having explained to the British in a very British way so that they understand that they have made a racist comment I now find that my explanation has been flagged. I am sick and tired of the British nastiness that is totally uncalled for on the internet. Quora should be closed down as it violates several laws and hence all of the court cases.

I was active on both the English and Dutch language Quora. My answers to questions distinguished themselves by the fact that I would always provide the sources for the information I provided. My sources were usually scientific studies, articles in highly regarded medical journals and official government websites. By referring to those sources, I always tried to help people form their own opinion instead of trying to force my opinion on them.

Writing those kinds of answers is no easy task. I've spent countless hours in finding the sources and writing answers which in their own would be blog-worthy.

I would think that Quora would be happy to have such a contributor to the platform. However, on the Dutch side of Quora, there's a single moderator, Celine Decamps, who is not interested in the quality of answers, but just whether they agree with her views. Especially on the topic of the Corona virus. As such, without any warning at all, she banned my account, destroying all those valuable answers on both the Dutch and the English side. Countless hours and high quality answers erased from Quora with a single mouse click. The reason? She, with her limited mind, decided that I was spreading disinformation, despite the fact that I was quoting information from reputable scientific journals and governmental organisations.

I think if you care about making Quora available in multiple languages, you need moderators with a professional attitude who know when to interfere and more importantly, know when not to interfere and let the discussion between the members flow to show readers all sides in a discussion. Celine Decamps doesn't possess those skills and being the sole moderator on the Dutch side, she has the power to not only remove valuable contributors on the Dutch side, but also on the English side. I seriously doubt that situation is beneficial to Quora.

Hello! I have opened quora account in 2017. And after using quora for year I got busy in my studies.so I didn't use it for long. The email I used in quora was permanently deleted by me due to some reasons and I forget password of my quora account. Now I want to use my account but unable to login.

I made a comment to a Quora question recently. I've been a member of Quora for a few months and have reported some racism, swearing and paedophilia I've seen. You've always responded by taking the material down.

The appeal notice appeared at about 11 pm on August 20, 2021. The appeal was levied against an answer that I had given about 30 minutes earlier claiming that I violated the rules. About 15 minutes later, I deleted my Quora account. The question to the best of my knowledge was;

"What is my IQ, if I rip up the IQ test, and throw it".

My answer was;

"LOL ... Good question ... LOL"

This was not a serious question, so I did not provide a serious answer. As result, the moderator tagged my answer with an appeal. I have no desire to contribute this organization (for free I might add), if Quora does not prevent users from posing a ridiculous question.

Arguably, this was not a legitimate question at all. The question should have been denied, before it went anywhere for an answer.
