unauthorized name illegally put on storage
I just tried to put my things in public storage on saint Barnabas road. I made a reservation to place my things in the storage . I was told before I got there that there was a special which was not true. I was still going to go ahead with it with hearing the huge diference in pricing because I was already there with a truck full of my property. When I gave the lady my id, she informed me that a man had put my name on his storage that I had no idea about. How do you give someone authority to add anyone's name without them being there. That had completely messed me up from getting any storage unit from public storage because of a 800 balance she said the person owed. I want to know why this was allowed and how this can be fixed
renting a storage unit that I reserved and received confirmation for
I made an online reservation for a storage unit and received an email confirmation about my reservation. Shortly after I received a phone call from Public Storage and I verbally confirmed that I would be at the location on 6/23/18. On 6/23/18 I arrived to the public storage location and was told that the unit that I reserved was rented the same day. I asked for an explanation despite the notes on their system confirming that I did have a reservation. Their explanation was that a confirmation does not guarantee a storage unit. That is totaling perplexing to me. What is the purpose of reservations, confirming verbally and an email confirmation?

First of all you get no service for what you pay they keep going up on the price and lowering access hours to the property. The girl Liz, always has something to do when you need her help. She gave me back the wrong ID for reserving one of the carts once they found out they gave it to me they harass me everyday about coming in to return the driver's license without ever saying mine. Needless to say without ever sorry we made a mistake, I was the problem because I wouldn't just leave the ID without getting mine back, was the problem that the other customer that has my driver's license was going to call the police such b*******! if you ever need to keep your stuff in storage make sure you do not use a public storage these people are idiots!
rent for storage unit unjustified

I took a storage unit in broadview heights ohio in 3rd week of nov17. I paid prorated for nov17 and then onward full for every month. Now I was to vacate it on jun 9. I asked property manager to charge prorated rent of jun which she reject. When its company benefit to charge prorated on checkin then you are doing it and when its customer right to get charged similarly prorated on checkout then you are not doing. Its nonsense. Please intervene in this and all me to pay prorated rent of jun. Why should I pay for full month if I am vacating it earlier. Is this justified?

I'm renting a unit in west sacramento. I enter my storage unit on may 28, 2018. Immediately I smell a stench odor. Once unit was open I notice my jacket on shelf with fabric torn. I'm expected to move out of my apartment on 4June 2018.
I reserved a storage unit 10/10 for $88 on 25 May 2018. I saw a cheaper price two days later and reserved the exact unit at $55.00.
I recieved an updated and reminder email from public storage yesterday 30 May 2018 at12:16 pm. However I recieved another email the same day at 2pm as an update stating that my fee is $110 monthly.
The only Chang I made was the "scheduled time " that I was told that I would have to make to meet with the manager before moving in. Melisa was the person to assist me. She also went into the database so update the "mandatory scheduled time that I was told that I would have to forfill before moving into the location".
The last update that I have is that my move in is 1 June 2018 at the summer kick off price of $55.00 monthly. However the price was changed 2 Hours later. Please assist with this matter. I'm looking to move this weekend.

took my unit when is was already paid off
I paid off my full month for the right to use my unit 1096#, on the first week I took my stuff off because I will need room to bring other stuf and replaxe this one, so I have to get riff of it. So, I left my unit empty without lock it was no necesary was empty, but then on may 10 I receive I called from the office asking me if I will vacant or not, I said I wont vacate yet! That's why I paid off the full month ahead of time, even I explain I was not in virginia that moment they asked me to put lock on my unit right away or next day, I told them I can not travel back right now I am far away, but they arbitrary without my consent and autorization vacate my unit! So they vacant my unit even that I have it paid off already for the whole month! Why nobody explain me before sign the contract that they will took back available my unit if doesnt have a lock in a empty unit? If they would let me know before sign a contract I could took my precaution and I wont paid innecesary!. I want my money back for the rest of day I paid off already now I have to lease in other place a new unit!

While bringing items to our storage unit I asked to use the restroom. I was told the public restroom was out of order. The door next to the public restroom read staff only. I explained that it was urgent and asked if I could please use the staff restroom as the public one was out of order. The lady's name was Emily. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. Had she simply said I'm not allowed to let you use this restroom, I could have respected that. But she rolled her eyes and let out a huge sigh. Her entire body language was that of exasperation. It was completely over the top and unwarranted. In the end she still did not allow me to use the facilities. I would hate to take my business elsewhere over her inability to maintain professionalism over such a minor interaction. But I am appalled bit the treatment I received over asking to use the restroom.

When the account for Assa Perry trust was established it was done so as a business account with the intent to use 1099s to discharge the debt. Upon issuing these instruments according to Banker's acceptance they were accepted, and not returned which means they were legal tender Under the UCC code. This was not credited to the account, no one gave us a plausible explanation therefore it is considered theft and Banker's acceptance violation default to trust identity theft as well as other federal violations. I reserved a unit at your 2423 Pleasant Hill Rd, Duluth, GA #[protected]. Initially I thought I would commence the lease on Saturday, but I had time Tuesday evening (3/13/18) so I decided to drive over and take care of the paperwork. When I arrived the office doors were locked. No sign on the door to indicate when the employee would be back. There was a woman in the lobby waiting for a ride who informed me that the employee had just gone upstairs. It was approximately 4:45, office hours 9:30 - 6:00 and I was sure that your employee would be down shortly to assist me. After 10 - 15 minutes, I pressed the buzzers, one outside and one in the lobby several times. Still no help. I then went upstairs - my gaining access to go upstairs tells me that the place is not very secure - and found her on the 2nd floor. I told her I was waiting for assistance. Once downstairs she 1st took a chair out to the lobby for the woman still waiting for her ride and then she greeted me, briefly said she was sorry and then asked if I had made an appointment and that the last appointment of the day was 4:30 or 5:00 No, the website did not say I needed an appointment. I told her that I was feeling irritable but I did not indicate what was causing the irritability (numerous people in the process of moving have unpleasant reasons they may be moving) Her response to me was "with a good attitude this process will go smoother for the both of us". I attempted to business with her a little longer.. I had rented before at this same location in 2005 and was satisfied at that time. Her *customer service* skills are completely lacking any sense of who is who in the customer/employee dynamic. She, like many young people felt that she should be schooling me in how things should go. I finally left in disgust.
Wednesday morning I called the 800 number to speak to management regarding the situation. I transferred to a voice mail where I left my number and asked for a call back which I have not received.

I had placed items in this storage at the end of September 2017. I put a credit card on file to take care of my fees. Someone used my credit card right after I put it on file with your company so I had to get a new card. I forgot to call and give them my new number and I did not think about it until I got a certified letter dated Nov 2, 2017 saying I had 15 days to pay my bill or they would auction off my things in Dec. I did not get the letter until Nov 10 and I went on Nov 12 to pay it. When I went to pay my bill I was shocked when the receptionist told me that they had done a skip on my unit. When I asked her what that was she told me that they had destroyed my items because they thought I was taking things out and did not intend to pay my bill. I had been there several times adding to my storage. I was in shock and devastated at my loss. I told her that if things had been taken out of my storage unit that they had been stolen because I had not removed anything. I filed a theft report with the police and they got a picture from your staff of what was in my building and I really could not tell that there was anything missing. The police told me that it was against Alabama law for them to do that. It looks like a license to steal to me and I do not believe that the nice things I had in storage were destroyed. I would guess that they are in one of your employees homes. I have asked through an attorney for them just to return my things and they will not reply. He has also asked for a signed contract from your company because the copy I was given was not signed. My son went over and filled out the paperwork and paid for me because I was working. I would like for you to please send me a copy of a signed contract. I am very upset with your company and have talked to 2 other people that stored at this same one and they had the same thing happen. Please tell me who authorizes this horrible policy. And why you would sent me a letter stating the Alabama law and not wait until Nov. 17 like your letter said to give me the opportunity to pay. The police said you could not do anything legally with my things until the auction date.

3659 South Ashland Avenue Chicago Illinois 60609 lack of communication unfriendly people are working there one tells you one thing the other one tells you another I lost my key so I was trying to get the manager to cut my lock due to I won't be needing the storage anymore by Friday and that's the only day that I have to take the things out I asked him to cut it with a manager now they're saying they can't do that that I have to bring my own locksmith I could bring my own locksmith they just have to communicate they're being very rude and they don't explain themselves and to top it off they're laughing about it this is not a joke I am very dissatisfied with this location but I guarantee you when it's the first of the month to collect my money for the storage unit you guys are asking for the payment but when I need customer satisfaction who's giving it to me I've been there for almost 6 months or more paying the storage on time and never had a problem but I guess there's always a first time I am very disappointed

I called customer service for public storage on the 31st of January because I was emptying out my unit and closing my account. They told me I just needed to have the storage cleared by the time the office was closed. I went there at about 3:30 p.m. and got everything out of my storage unit and as I was about to leave I called the customer service line and asked if I needed to go in the office or if I could close out my account over the phone and she said she could help me with that. and she asked me if the unit was completely empty and if I had taken my lock off and I told her yes. So she told me that wlas it and I was all set because they do a lock check 1 hour before closing which would have made it like 5 p.m. when they would do the lock check and any unit that doesn't have a lock they check and if it's empty they go ahead and close out your account. So I just left and that was at like 3:40 on the 31st of January. Then I received a late notice for February so I called the office of the location where I rented and told the location manager that I had emptied out on the 31st of January and that I took my lock and she called me back and said that my lock was on there till the 11th of February and that I was going to be charged for February. I insisted that I emptied out and took my lock on the 31st of January, so she said well we can figure this out I'll check your last gate entry and get back to you. She calls me back and says I have your last gate entry as 3:40 something on the 31st of January but still insisted that my lock was there the whole time because she's the one that checks and said I was going to be charged for February and if I didn't pay it would go to collections. So I contacted the district manager and he called me back today and even though I told him to go to video footage and the fact that she even brought up the gate code as if that would be the decider. He still told me that it was impossible that the lock wasn't on there they said it for the first the second the third the fourth the fifth, 6th 7th 8th, , , add the way to the 11th was impossible. even though I'm sure you guys could access the phone record of me calling your customer service 1 minute before exiting my last time to see if I had to stop in the office to close out my account or not and the fact that I did use the gate the last on the 31st of January at 3:40 p.m. wasn't enough for him to just give me the benefit of the doubt and not call me a liar instead he said you just to save us both times that I know this didn't happen you're a liar but I'm going to wave the last feed because you've been with us for 3 years. My experience with you guys for 3 years was fine until that I very end and I will never rent from Public Storage again because of this. I didn't even know you had records of the gate code entry times so do insist that I came back and you that and hop the I didn't even know you had records of the gate code entry times so to insist that I came back sometime in February and hopped the gate to go take my lock off in order to hide record of me entering is ridiculous and insulting.
urgent safety concern unpaired door request
I requested that my door be repaired due to it being off track from the beginning of our contractual agreement. With the door it's current state, has been unsafe to use. The attending clerk that I made aware the problem failed to enter the request to fix the violation. The current attentive clerk, with my prompting manually entered the request per my request. I cannot train your employees, unless paid to do so. The balance, as it stands, shall no longer be. I will not pay fees when your obligation is to provide a safe operating environment.

Public storage complaint whent to public storage to retrive some items went to the plastic storage bins there were rat dropping and debris every where spoke with manager said they would put rat bate down the manager ask me if there was damage to any items i could not tell but there is a marjor vermin infestation and debris going on plus holes at the ceiling and walls in the storage unit. This is my second complaint against this storage facility. 1247 45st west palm beach fl 33407. The manager susan is so unprofessional; every time I come here which is only 1x a month i'm encountering problems. Last month I had to wait till 9:30am being late for work for the office to open up because my gate code wouldn't work. Prior before that it wouldn't work once again and instead of putting in a manager pin to let me get access and head to work, I had to wait 35min till the figured out how to reset my code. Today I went there at 8am to put some things in storage, gate code was activate and I was able to get in. Once I gained entry in the building to my unit, I see a keypad lock has been put on my storage unit. I was called a week ago stating from a male employee that I had till the 1st to pay and then if I didn't a lock will be added and a fee of 55.00 would need to be paid so I wouldn't go into auction. Today is the 29th so why was a lock put on my storage. Every time I come here it is a problem with this manager till the point I think she is purposely being malicious. The first month that I rented this place it was 45 min till closing and I wasn't even allowed to use the dolly because she stated that she didn't think I would return it back in time before it was time for her (susan) to go home and public storage dont pay her extra to be there after her clock out time. I am a woman and had to lift multiple heavy items up to the 3rd floor... I have complained previously and still get the same results and attitude every time I come here. I don't even care to interact with these people. I pay online to avoid them and things still get done to my account to where I have to go to them to fix their [censor] ups!

Unfortunately when I put my sentimental valued items.. kids clothing... of my 4 boys which I raise... I trusted public storage. many times customers put things that don't fit in their home. I put my home in storage. unemployed I fell behind. without notice of auction date all was auctioned. I was insulted... harassed and humiliated by staff when all I begged and cried for the things I could never replace. pictures... diplomas... drawings... scrap books. our clothing, shoes, birth videos... as I cried desperately... employee which I have her name said none of it is yours too bad. I understand. but my pictures and awards have no value only to me. she yelled... offended me humiliated me because I failed payment. if I was well off I wouldn't have put belongings of a family of 5 in a unit. I met the auction winner outside after 72 hours of watching hoping to get my personal items. he told me 250 dollars and its all yours. many things missing. who took it? did storage.? did he? investigate please before I file report w authority

I am not only complaining about this location. I am complaining about this company as a whole. This company has been a problem since day one of me getting my unit. The employees have been nothing but disrespectful, my unit caused all of my belongings to become moldy, the lock they sold me broke with the key inside so I am not able to get inside my unit to clean it out! On top of this NO ONE at this company is assisting me, calling me back, or even answering my phone calls about my issue! I am Livid and disgusted with this company and will make sure to NEVER refer anyone to this place ever!

The property manager of Public Storage for Sat 12 30 2017, located at Mc Grapth and Telephone in Ventura ca accousted and harrased me, accousing me of a multiude of infractions that I did not committ. I had just arrived having been there several times, shortly during the day to meet with another elderly gentleman who like I work emergency communictions as ham radio opertors, in order to give him a phone. This service being the nature of the buisness I conduct while there. I have been there for almost 2 years. Pay my rent on time etc. I was forced to leave which because if the nature if my presense there caused a hardhip for both. Myself and my associate. I am 65 years old and this man took advandage of age and disposition. Another client of Public Storage had bern there all day in fact for the last week has been there all day and he was not harrased henceforth showing predgidious. I would like for this man to repremended, fired if possable to compensate for the damage he has caused.

I got behind in my payment. I was 1 month behind. I had a balance or $190.00. I called the storage unit and explained that I won't have the money until the end of the month. They assured me I had until the 30th of november to pay in full. I had insurance as well. My insurance is still active. On november 30th I called to make my payment and they informed me my unit went in auction! I never received a email or anything to let me know this and they assured me I had until the end of the month. They sold my unit on the 29th. My children's birth certificates s. S. Cards... My books i'm trying to publish game systems...5 month old brand new furniture etc. It was a unit with spot of expensive things in it. Im not understanding why they did this. This is not fair! I've been with them a whole year now i've paid every month up until november! Someone needs to be held responsible for stealing from me! I will not let this go! If you can't help me... I will be contacting my family's lawyer.
