Tall David’s comments

This happened to me about 4 years ago, but it's a good reminder of what to avoid. When I was going through the process of suing the insurance company over a car accident, and living with my girl friend at the time I went to Regions with my grandma. Since she had a bank account I figured hey why not? Well to start out I was told it would take a week for me to deposit an insurance check in my checking account but it should clear no problem in my savings account.

I get disability so I switched it over to Regions. I had a checking & saving account. With a year of over draft protection. Mind you I had just gotten this account. Well after paying car insurance which was 65 dollars, & then buying groceries which was 100 bucks or so. I still had like 200 bucks left. And at the end of the month I never had any money. I was always over drawn 200 dollars. Always no matter how much I saved back. So I took everything out of my checking account.

On the bright side 6 months later or maybe a little longer I had 500 bucks in my savings account compiled from interest. So I took the rest out and took it to Renasant who I was banking with at the time.

Beware. Any bank who over drafts you when you have over draft protection is not worth it. I will not be banking with Regions again.
I use to have Direc TV back in 2005, and after Com Cast dicked us around, and my grandma was looking into service I decided to use Direc TV because at the time I had them I never had a problem, and at the time the total choice was 39.99 since I only had it in one room.

We are know being charged for 3 boxes. A fourth box wasn't even active, and we've got the 6 dollar insurance. When I called Direc TV they got my grandmothers name wrong, and continue to bill her under the name Marjorie when I specifically told them her name was Margie. Then for 52.99 we'd get service. So 80 bucks for 3 rooms, and at one time they posted her account to the wrong TV account. She had to straighten it out with her bank to get it paid along with also dealing with the ### customer service. She hates DTV, and I hate them too. Just as soon as I can cancel and move back to Com Cast that's exactly what I am doing.

The 4th box was defective when they gave it to us. DTV wanted to charge me 45 dollars because it wasn't covered by the 6 dollars. But my understanding was the 6 dollars covered everything. So why do they have something as worthless as this if it doesn't even cover what its suppose to.

When I switch I'll never go back to DTV ever. They've screwed around too many customers with their shady practices.
Six pages of complaints & count me as number seven. I was introduced through Wild Blue via a friend. Who along with his parents didn't know how god awful this service is.

I was going to school at the time I got Wild Blue. It was early 08 I think. But I was told I'd be charged a one time set up fee of 183 dollars, and then I could finance my modem at 54 a month and tax would make it 61. Which isn't bad even though when I had Com Cast it was 45.99 and I loved the cable.

Anyway even though I could have paid off Com Cast, and let me tell you I wish I did. I ended up going with Wild Blue. They guy even offered me a job but since I was going to school for Heating & Air its not like I needed a ### job with them. So for the first 6 months this Wild Blue was amazing. I've had it go up & down but never slowed to dial up which I was told could happen but as long as I had standard email and the general browsing I'd be fine. Now Wild Blue is slower than Christmas. I honestly could run circles around their service.

I hate that it goes out whenever it rains, and it seems if I sneeze my net goes out. The dependability of this is really horrible. I'm hoping to get a tech on support to find out how much it is to cancel because if I cannot get a direct response I'm going to do it the old fashioned way, and they can let my account sit without any more activity. Either way they are getting canceled.
Something tells me that we're going to go through this with Direc TV, but my grand mother refuses to pay anything. And She is determined to make Direc TV's life a living hell.

There was a get 4month free deal but that was with all the channels and the NFL package. I really didn't want to listen to the poor customer service reps concerning taking those extra charges off.

So now we've got 3 boxes. But after hearing AT&T even though they are now fiber optic works through Direc TV. No way in hell am I ever going through them after I've got enough to pay my 155 dollars for Comcast.

Seasonal means temporary. They can change your hours because hours and days changed frequently. Depending on Corporate, and how the economy affects their business. Corporate passes that information down to all the other chains of the stores so they can post different prices regarding price discounts, or whatever else is affecting their business.

You were getting 10.42. That's practically 10.50, so tell me whats 4 cent's really matter. If you were getting 35 to 40 hours what was the problem? Could you not save 100 dollars back out of your checks instead of whatever you were doing with it. Just in case of an Emergency. You should have told Lowes I understand my job is seasonal. But I am going to be looking for other employment so if you let me go I won't be out of a job struggling to pay my bills.

Go work for Home Depot. You've got some experience. If they are not hiring. Go some where else. Don't blame Lowes because they were making job cuts, and you were one of the people who were let go.
I completely agree. Home Depot was under CONTRACT to deliver the right window the first time. No questions asked. The fact that they made the mistake & gave him the wrong window, is not theft on his part, but an error on theirs.

How much easier would it have been for HD to simply state they made an error and delivered the wrong window? And they missed an appointment but they were in the process of fixing the problem. I hope this man got his right window, & the damaged window was picked up by HD. This kind of business practice should not be allowed period. If I were a manager at a Warehouse store, and I could be since I'm over qualified to work at one of these places, but it's probably the only job I could get right now if I looked for work. I would make damn sure that this kind of business practice did not happen.

This is the kind of poor business that goes on when a manager doesn't file the right paper work, and the department has no idea what the hell is going on. I'm terribly sorry to hear of your experience even though it was so long ago. I can only hope whatever supply store you shop at gives you a better experience. With the kind of business practices, & management you deserve.
I disagree. The fact was this person purchased the items. 4 items to be exact. For a store to sell of items you purchased is just wrong. I don't care how busy the store was after the storm. Those appliances needed to be put in a reserved section for the customer who purchased them.

Why should you pay for lesser appliances, or receive things of a lower value when you spent your hard earned money on what you ordered.

I see no reason why the warehouse could not have been called to have this person wait to get what they ordered. It'd be a pain, but it would have saved a lot of frustration.

Even though it passed this is just a lesson that you should go the next day. Also man, have a little compassion. Hurricane Katrine was a terrible storm. Put yourself in somebody else's shoes, and think of how you might feel.

You were not "ripped off" because you went 3 miles over when you past the officer. I don't care what the cruise control said. You were better off letting the officer conduct his business. So you could go under the speed limit. Why didn't you go 65 when you past instead of speeding up to 70?

You could always inquire internal affairs to see the report of why you were pulled over but instead you got a speeding ticket because you had a little frustration at the state trooper conducting whatever business he was out there for. Next time be patient so you don't get a ticket, or worse. The State Trooper is right regardless of what you believe. If his speed gun reads 73 you were over. He could have gotten anybody else but since you were so quick to pass he got you.

This is just a hard learned lesson that you do your research. Never give your information to anybody unless you are sure they are who they claim to be.

I'm very sorry you've had to go through this experience.
Map quest only gives you the route which takes the least amount of time if you know the areas. I've been on some Map quest trips that would make your heads spin. And some that were extremely easy as well.

Hope you find another site that offers better directions.

I was charged 267.49, and within the first week, I uninstalled the product from my computer because it was frustrating, and useless to me. I never signed up for Smith Micro, so I figured per 30 days if I uninstalled the product within the first week then when the 30 days was up Smith Micro wouldn't come for its money because I never order the product. I down loaded a trial, was unhappy with it, and took it off of my computer.

Now I'm being charged as if I did order it. So I sent a response to tech support, and even though it appears I will have to go through over draft fees, to get my money back, I will also have to pull in some extra manual labor and get paid cash to replace this charge I never should have gotten to begin with.

I am never downloading another free trial again. This experience has been enough to realize how much I need my money not to let some idiotic company just take it even though I had canceled well before the 30 days was up.

I was going to buy Poser 8 at a later date for a discounted price. But now I'll never give my money to a dishonest company such as this.
Okay I got a refund and they said it will be back with in 7 to 10 business days. I am still going to pull in some extra work with my grandpa though so I can have the extra to replace any over draft fees I may incur while waiting, and also this teaches me not to deal with Smith Micro anymore.
