Same story...no gift card, no magazines, no service.
After getting disconnceted countless times on their customer no-service line, I punched 1 to "order a magazine"; got through instantly...what a surprise. Told the rep of my problem who once gain transferred me to customer n0-service where, as before, I sat on hold for two minutes and was disconnected. These people should be in jail!

Care Credit/GE Moneybank is a major rip-off. My wife had oral surgery done and charged it to these scammers. The deal was 0% interest if paid in full in one year. We paid extra each month to make sure we paid it off before the one year expired. Despite having cancelled checks, they found every way they could to say the balance was not paid in full within 1 year ("did not receive, received late"); any BS they could think of. Even after proving them wrong, they socked us with a HUGE interest payment. The matter is still not settled after 18 months.

My wife had oral surgery done. The periodontist's office offered credit arrangements via CareCredit (a.k.a. GE Moneybank). The deal was 0% interest if paid in full within one year. We paid extra each month to make sure we paid it off before the one-year expired. Despite having cancelled checks as well as bank records from e-transactions, they found every way they could to say the balance was not paid in full within 1 year i.e. "did not receive", "received late", etc.; any BS they could think of. Even after proving them wrong, they socked us with a HUGE interest payment. Customer no-service was rude, rude, rude! They simply could not accept the fact they were proven wrong. The matter is still not settled after 18 months.

Same problem..."Dawn" never sees the light!
Will not honor $50 gift card even though there is no expiration date.
Best Buy, Circuit City, American and the like are in the business of selling service contracts, not merchandise.

You were scammed by a fake E-Bay. They never "update accounts".

Call your credit card company and dispute the charge. They will side with you.
Get caller ID, or screen your calls through an answering machine. They will give up eventually.

You are not alone. Rest assured, they received your payments. This is a running scam with CareCredit/GE Moneybank. Also check out www.pissedconsumer.com. There are several class-action suits being started against them...check your state.

DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!

When you pay, log your check # or transaction #. Get printed copies of everything. No use sending them as documentation to CareCredit/GEMP, they will claim not to have receievd them...just like the payments.
DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED! DO NOT PAY ANY LATE CHARGES OR PENALTIES! Let THEM take YOU to court...then i'ts on their nickle when they lose as you have the proof.
If they are deducting from your bank account, report them to the bank and have the payments stopped. If with a credit card, you can call the CC company and they will stop the deductions. The CC comnpany will send you a form to further explain your complaint. You tell them exactly what happended and reference this website about all the complaints. 99% of the time, the CC company will side with you. Good Luck!

Read all the other comments on these scammers. I recommend you pay them off in-full immediately with a certified check; borrow the money if you have to. Any long-term relationship with these [censored]heads will cost you way more than you intially borrowed. There are several class-action lawsuits that have been filed and/or are pending. You may wish to see if there is one in your area. I have sued them as well...no results as of yet.

File a dispute with your credit card company. Close the account. Write "return to sender" on any future packages.

They tried to rip me too. Beg borrow or steal whatever funds you need to to pay off original balance...no late late fees or interest. Send a CERTIFIED CHECK via CERTIFIED MAIL. Close any other links or accounts associated with these scammers. If they come after you, (which they probably will not because it will cost them more than you owe and they realize you did everything certified), have copies or your original payments, the certified check receipt and the certified mail receipt. This worked for me.

Re: GE Moneybank a.k.a. GEMB CareCredit

Been there, done that.
1) Beg, borrow or steal whatever you owe them, less and late charges or interest.
2) Send a certified check, return receipt requested.
3) Cancel your card
4) Change bank accounts.
5) Change/cancel any accounts of which you gave GEMB the number.

It's a pain, but that is your only solution.

Good luck.

Read the other reviews on CareCredit. You do NOT want this account; they are major scammers. You will get charged for interest even if you make payments on or before due;t hey claim to have "lost" your payments even when you prove they have received them.
STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY!
