eff felons...they have no rights. They relinquished the right to have rights the moment they broke the law. They should be damn lucky to be able to be out of prison and amongst the presence of us law abiding citizens.

You really need to contact the district manager for the location. There is no excuse for that kind of behavior.
No I don't personally know the OP, I just happen to agree with him.

May seem like a dumb question but if Meijer had the product on sale, then why not just buy it at Meijer?

Funny thing. Believe it or not, but there is this lovely device called a telephone. I hear that it has been around for quite some time, although nobody seems to have heard of it.

I used to work for Hollywood Video before this powerplay nonsense. Back then, I was pressured by management to sell candy bars and popcorn, of which I felt ridiculous doing and was ultimately fired for not selling enough. I can only imagine trying to sell this scam. The thing is that when people go into video stores, they do not want to hear a sales pitch anymore than the guy behind the counter wants to say it. It's not a car dealership or real estate office, so why should this even be a part of the job? Just like with my job at Hollywood Video, I shouldn't have to point out to the customer the candy bars and sodas that they can clearly see by the checkout counter. The same applies to this "last ditch attempt" of this powerplay. There could be signs and literature provided if a customer happens to be interested, but leave it at that. Perhaps if the fine folks at MG/HV would rub the dollar signs out of there eyes, they may have the ability to get a decent crew and get return business. But there is insanely high prices and inhumane business practices are the reasons that Netflix, Redbox and Family Video are taking control of the market. Just look at their old pal Blockbuster and the terrible financial situation they are in...

Netflix cannot just stream movies that they do not have the right to do so. Their library is growing and have had a deal with Starz for quite some time to stream new releases from the Starz network. I imagine that within five years, Netflix will be streaming movies that are still in theaters.

To XBOXMAN,

The reason that they no longer take pre-paid debit cards is because if you decided to steal 40 movies from them, they would not have any means of getting their money back. Whereas if you pay with credit or bank account, then they can still attempt to collect the loss.
