Prime Plumbing Service This company was referred by my home warranty company

This company was referred by my home warranty company. They came out and said everything needed to be replaced after a 5 min observation. Call and spoke with the Manager, very rude. I inquired about a diagnostic test. Which i had to ask for and I see they stated my water heater was leaking. I thought to myself that is a red flag since I could not see that. They show up day of service and I requested their business information for a permit since the city requires it. Manager Confirmed they can get that. Owner then stated he did not want to provide service. Another company comes out replaces my temperature gauge on my hot water heater. Its been 30 days working just fine. This company is a fraud don't waste your time!

Sept 2 2021, a representative from prime plumbing came to our house to fix 2 leaks {working through American Home Shield}. The faucet in the kitchen was fixed using the faucet I purchased at *** the rep looked at the leak in the master bathroom shower and said he had to order parts from China, and that the parts would be delivered to our house. We never received the part and never heard from Prime Plumbing again. We called AHS and the ticket had been closed. there is a crooked person working at Prime Pluming giving false information and not doing his job. We feel like we were put on a perpetual list as not to finish the work. This is stealing since we paid $100.00 for these repairs to be completed and they were not completed. also, i bought the materials for the repair out of my own pocket, to be treated like this is taking advantage of the elderly and a veteran. We are both over 63 years old.

1 star is very generous. These people don't show up and they don't call to tell you or give you another time. I would not use them ever again. I will have to call them again for the third time. AND instead of being their 1st appointment I will have to wait all day if they show up then. I only used them because of AHS warranty sent them. There's no excuse for this horrible customer ***. I am not unreasonable if there's a delay call me we will work it out but bumping it out like it's a new call every time is not reasonable. Day 5 with no running water. Day 8 since first appointment .

Prime Plumbing Service Beware! I have AHS and they dispatched Prime Plumbing to repair my toilet and the service man came in complaining about this knee!

Beware! I have AHS and they dispatched Prime Plumbing to repair my toilet and the service man came in complaining about this knee! Indicated that my toilet was glued to the floor and could not remove to repair it. Also indicated that I had water damage and called another company Flood Masters to come in and attempt to tear my floor up and replace it. Then suggested that I called him back to repair the toilet.. it required a new wax ring. This company works with Flood masters to hit your insurance company for money. Get a second opinion! Prime Plumbing and Flood masters are working together! I eventually called another plumber to come in and do the repair. The toilet was not glued to the floor and there was not any water damage.

Prime Plumbing Service My hot water Heater went out on 10/16, This company sent an unlicensed plumber to my home to try to up sell me

My hot water Heater went out on 10/16, This company sent an unlicensed plumber to my home to try to up sell me. That said I needed gas modifications, vent modifications and a T&P modification and they said they would have to bring my system up to code. But that would not tell me what code they are talking about and will not break down what these so called modifications are/consist of.. I am a contractor licensed in the state of Georgia What makes this so bad the guy had an expired Alabama License- he showed it to us, but when I check with Alabama Plumbing board he does not have a license there either You must Get the name of the person coming to your home, then go to the state of Georgia web page under Licenses verification to see if person really has a VALID License do not use this company

Prime Plumbing Service Awful service, I had one of their guy name Darin who obviously didn't like my skin color to the point that he made sure that my problem didn't

Awful service, I had one of their guy name Darin who obviously didn't like my skin color to the point that he made sure that my problem didn't get fix. He told me that he would have to call and have them to send out the sewer truck. I asked him why is that, I know that it was clogged from too much tissue, can you try your snake that's in the truck. He told me know because it's a sewage issue and he knew because how the flushing sounded. He didn't look outside nor did he have a sewage camera but he stated he hears the water under the floor. I said through the pipes but he submits his report stating that I have roots blocking my water! Dude, really you was able to determine that by just flushing the toilets? No cameras or not even a walk around the sewage drains. So I just received a second opinion and guess what, it was a normal blockage from paper!

My aunt has a home warranty with American Home Shield and they sent them to replace her water heater. They charged her additional for code upgrades that they said was required for them to replace the water heater. She paid them the additional charges, only to find out none of the code upgrades were done. No thermal expansion tank, leaking T&P drain line and exhaust pipe was not connected to the water heater. Never let this company perform any services!

Prime Plumbing Service If I could give this company a ZERO I would

If I could give this company a ZERO I would.. My home warranty company sent them out to service my water heater which needs to be replaced- after getting it approved through the home warranty Prime Plumbing added an additional $400.00 for a code they say the state of GA requires but was not covered under warranty. I called Prime to see what wasn't covered and was fed lies about a pressure valve release/ new venting which is NOT a new CODE for installing water heaters in the state of GA & I also called other contractors & several acquaintances I know in the field.. I was also told the price is originally $550 but I was given a discount with using my warranty. They tried to get more $$ out of me. I refused their service and found another contractor which my warranty covered at %100 just like they were going to do with Prime Plumbing & I had no out-of-pocket fees... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Prime Plumbing Service I called because my downstairs was flooded due to a toilet overflow

I called because my downstairs was flooded due to a toilet overflow. The damage cost us thousands because it was in the drywall and floors downstairs. The technician came out check both toilets and only snaked them. He proceeded to tell us how we could fix the issue my caulking the cracks by the tub and toilet. He said he doesnt do that. After speaking with someone from the company he fixed the damages he pointed out a slow leak that is still happening and asked did the plumber really fix the issue? I told him what I was told and he said, That is absolutely his job. You need to call your insurance and tell them what he did. Also, tell them what he told you. I did but guess what since it has been 30 days since he came out they want to charge me again to send the same sorry plumber out! I am outraged that they could get away with doing a half job and want to get paid to come out to finish the job.

Prime Plumbing Service If I could also give this company a ZERO I would for making up Code issues

If I could also give this company a ZERO I would for making up Code issues .. My home warranty company sent them out to service my water heater which needs to be replaced- after getting it approved through the home warranty Prime Plumbing added an additional $1035.00 for adding a T&P pipe due to code they say the state of GA requires but was not covered under warranty. I called Prime Plumbing to discussed and was fed lies about a pressure valve release/ new expansion tank (which cover under the warranty and my home has one). I just had to get the water heater tank and expansion tank. . I was also told by Prime Plumbing that I have to pay this price before they can come out install the water heater tank that the insurance company is covering (parts and labor). I refused their service and found another Plumbing contractors that will do exactly what Prime Plumbing will do and just change me $250.00.

Prime Plumbing Service Jackie did some work for me in mid January

Jackie did some work for me in mid January . The plumbing work he did was good work - and that is the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars. Dealing with the company in general though, is another matter. I wrote two checks, neither of which has been cashed. It is now March 8th. I have called 3 times asking why my checks have not been cashed and also sent an email. Each time someone says, oh I'm sure it will get cashed this week. On Monday (March 1st) Haley told me that it would definitely be cashed that day. If that were true, then it would have shown up in my bank account by now (March 8th). I'm just in shock that the company doesn't care at all about this and that they also keep lying to me about it. It's not a nice thing to do to customer. If they give you money for your work, the least you can do is take it while the money is in their account. I'm a freelancer during a pandemic. I don't get paid regularly. It's a stressful enough time financially. Constantly trying to make sure the right amount is always in my checking account is an extra stress I don't need.

Prime Plumbing Service If I could leave 0 stars I would

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I had an issue with stoppage for my kitchen sink. I used the company selected by my warranty company, Prime Plumbing, since I used them in the past with a rep, Jackie I figured it would be a good situation. I received the plumber Joe who came and did more damage to my home than repairs. He told my warranty company that I did not have a clean out system, which was untrue. Joe came in without a snake of his own and stated his tools were broken, so he had to use ours. My husband and I had a snake of our own since we were working on the problem, so the kitchen sink pipes were already taken apart. Joe had a direct contact for the drainage. Before he left he told my husband he had to order the part for the leakage he created. I called the company and they stated that since we did not have a cleanout (lies) that the claim was denied and also Joe could not come back out to fix the leakage he created. He told the company the leakage was created due to secondary damage from snaking the through the sink! Lies! The pipes were taken apart by my husband and I, so he did not have to get to the drain through the sink. Save yourself the headache and stress by going with another company. They have a 3.6 on Google and I completely understand why. However, Jackie and Chris were great to work with, although I had to call them back a second time because a gas smell was coming from my water heater. They fixed it though.

Prime Plumbing Service was given this vendor by my home warranty - 1st appointment - no show/ & didnt call to say they werent

was given this vendor by my home warranty - 1st appointment - no show/ & didnt call to say they werent . Showed up the next day very late in the day.1st repair- pressure valve was fixed however, it messed up 3 toilets and a faucet. They did no recheck or warn us this could happen.2nd repair we had to get on phone with supervisor because the guy couldnt understand that our shower drain was leaking from the missing catch underneath the shower- even though we could see it from basement . He kept saying warranty doesnt cover this here shower tray. The tray has nothing to do with where the leak was down below in the basement?. Then said well its late today well come back on Monday- no mention of needing any parts just that it was too late to get started. 2nd no show/call on Monday. I called the company to see where they are - she claimed they got hung up on a really big job and they would be there the next day. 3rd no show/ call. Promised to call back multiple times - NEVER did. This went on for several weeks totaling six more no-shows/ calls and no return calls. Next they tried to claim they were waiting on a part that they had ordered. They claimed one person forgot to order it - another person said it was in route - another person said it was back ordered. Only to find out the part theyre speaking of has something to do with a faucet which has nothing to do with the leak in the shower drain.Once the error was corrected by us - we had three more no-show/ call appointments. I wish I could give this company negative stars and warn anybody that thinks to use them.

Prime Plumbing Service 0 out of 5 stars

0 out of 5 stars. American Home Shield contracted this company to repair/replace a pressure regulator at my home. Appointment was scheduled between 11-2. By 2:30, no one has arrived or called to say them would be late. I called their office and the person I spoke with said that the technician was running behind and should be there between 3-4. 5:45, the tech finally arrives. No call telling me they would be late (again). I explain the issue we are having and the tech checks the water pressure on an exterior water line. While removing the hose connected to the water line, he breaks the hose connector, but does not tell me it broke (I found it broken on the ground later). He then explains that replacing the pressure regulator would require removing a section of drywall to add an extension to the current line. Since this would require a modification, it would likely not be covered by my home warranty, additional cost would run $250-$350. He tells me that he would report his recommendations to AHS and that I would need to contact Prime's office to schedule another appointment. He also recommended that we shut off the water at night due to our water pressure being over 140 psi and at that pressure we could have leaks (we had already had one). I called that night (Thursday) and left Prime's office a voicemail requesting that they go ahead with scheduling an appointment to make the repair. I haven't received a response from their office as of Sunday. I called back in the morning (Friday) and was sent to voicemail. I then contact AHS, who informs me that Prime has marked this job as completed and were paid their service request fee. I then look at Prime's online reviews and see that my situation seems to be the norm, i.e., replacement requires a modification requiring additional cost, no response to voicemails, late arrives without notification, and a host of other shady interactions. I should have done my research prior to scheduling. Lesson learned. I called another plumbing company (A+ ComplaintsBoard.com rating) to get a second opinion. They showed up within one hour, diagnose the the issue - pressure regulator needs replacement. No modification was required. If your warranty company contracts Prime for your plumbing issue, call them and ask for someone else. These folks are fleecing the warranty company and their customers.

Prime Plumbing Service I also wish i could give them a one star

I also wish i could give them a one star. My water heater was leaking so i contacted my home warranty company *** (***) and they sent Prime plumbing Inc to me. Prime plumbing confirmed my heater needed to be replaced so they submitted their report to the ***. I was told that *** will cover the cost of the new water heater and the labor to install it & I will be responsible for any other out of pocket payments. Prime plumbing sent me the invoice breakdown of my out of pocket payment and the breakdown is as follows : 1) Gas Modification - $125, 2) Expansion Tank - $75, 3) Pipe Modification -$225, 4) Temperature & Pressure Relief Valve - $125 bringing the total to $550. They claim they needed these items to "bring the water heater up to code". I sent the list to my friend who is a plumber and he was confused what all the fees were for and specifically questioned the temperature and pressure valve because it is part of the water heater and cannot be purchased separately, it is embedded securely in the water heater and cannot be removed. I did my research online, went to Lowe's and Home depot and confirmed for myself what the components of a water heater is and it clearly shows temperature & pressure valve. I reached out to Prime plumbing to ask for details about the work and they referred me back to *** saying it was *** responsibility to explain the breakdown. I contacted *** as directed and they sent me back to Prime plumbing. After a lot of back/forth I told Prime plumbing I was willing to pay all the other costs but not the temperature and pressure valve, but they refused to take that item off. I complained to the warranty company and tried to get them to intervene on my behalf because they chose Prime plumbing and not me and I pay monthly premiums to *** for warranty coverage so I felt they owed it to us customers to help us negotiate a deal. They simply said I had to work with the plumbing company or get a "cash in lieu" to take care of the water heater myself. I wasn't going to let Prime plumbing cheat me so I opted for the cash in lieu offer. I got a new water heater for $500, did not need to spend a single dime on ANY of the other items amounting to $550 that I was told needed to be done to "bring the water heater up to code". The new water heater came with a $300 rebate from the gas company subject to inspection. The city came over to inspect the new water heater installation and I got my rebate check for $300 for the new water heater. The warning here is that Prime plumbing is a fraudulent company and that's probably why they are not registered with the ComplaintsBoard.com. The lesson is that you do your own research on companies and pricing options and DO NOT fall for any invoice you are given. Prime plumbing quoted $75 for an expansion tank but it is $25 at home depot and more interestingly is that the one I have is still in good condition so didn't need to be changed. Beware of comments about "bringing up to code", ask what that really means. Also cancel any home warranty coverage you currently have with any company, they DO NOT care about you. Open an account of your own and put money aside for home repairs. You at least know you are getting 100% of what you put into savings as opposed to 10% of your investment the warranty company will be willing to pay when the chips are down. Home warranty coverage's do not work like home insurance coverage does. Finally ALWAYS, ALWAYS check company ratings on the internet and not on their website. Prime plumbing has horrible ratings and *** posted the best ratings on their website but their rating on ComplaintsBoard.com is 2.5 stars yet they have been in business for 49 years.
