Wow, we just had a huge scare with Porkbun. Someone submitted a fake phishing report to them and they sent a notice to us that our domain was being shut down in 24 hours. They sent us the report and it was simply a screenshot of our dashboard portal page with zero evidence of any phishing actually happening.

We didn't see the notice for 22 hours and there was nobody responding to their chat or phone at that time. Luckily we noticed in time and got the domain transferred away from Porkbun. We are lucky this didn't happen on a weekend!

Porkbun might be good for holding dormant domains that you're just holding, but stay away from them for any mission critical domain.

This company is just awful! I signed up for a domain and a few weeks later they just suspended it, saying that it was being used for phishing! That's just not true. So, I was like, "I wanna register a domain, let's check out Porkbun". At first, everything was cool, I was about to make the payment and BAM! Site error. I tried again and again, but the error was still there. So, I hit up their support service and they hit me back with some weird message like "Your IP address is fraudulent". What the heck? My IP is clean, I don't even use VPN and never had any problems with it. I tried restarting the internet, but the IP stayed the same. After a long back and forth with their support, nothing happened. First, they didn't like my IP, then they didn't like my address. I wasted so much time and nerves on this. In the end, I went to another registrar and registered my domain without any issues.

I mean, yeah, Porkbun has lower prices than the big guys, but is it worth it for the terrible quality of service? I don't think so.

I didn't even get to use their services, so I gotta give them a big fat zero in every category. Website operation? Zero. Support service? Zero. Quality of services? Zero.

Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
