PointsBet New Jersey Jersey promo

I was told about this sports betting app by a few friends because there was a really enticing promotion they were offering where if your initial bet is $50 or more, then you receive a gift card in the amount of $150 towards the fanatics website. I signed up for this reason, and this reason only. My first bet was $50 and when it settled I had not received my fanatics gift card that I was promised via the promotion. So, I reached out to customer service and was told by both a normal rep and a supervisor that I would not be receiving the gift card because I was not eligible for this promotion since I signed up for the app via a referral link sent to me by my brother. First of all, the promo never specified that eligibility required you to not sign up through a referral link. Second, I have about 3-4 friends who also signed up for this app via a referral link and all of them received their gift card they were promised. The customer service team was more concerned with closing my account than actually assisting me with this issue. Had they followed through on their promise and gave me the fanatics gift card, I likely would’ve continued using and betting on this app. But because they baited and switched me into signing up and then proceeded to be exceedingly unhelpful, I will no longer be affiliated with this sports betting app and I encourage others to find alternative apps to place sports bets on.

Desired outcome: Give me the gift card that I was promised when I signed up for this app.

PointsBet New Jersey PointBet NJ ran a promotion that said "sign up and receive $100 in free bets using this link

PointBet NJ ran a promotion that said "sign up and receive $100 in free bets using this link." Less than 15 hours later, there was another link that said "sign up using this link and receive $170 in free bets according to a particular bet." I followed the directions for both, one of which cost me money to perform, and only received one of the promotions. I contacted the service and they said they only apply the first promotion. Had they said this I would have applied for a better promotion. Not only this, but they nearly refused to return my investment on the promo that they deceived me on.

I recently got married, so I combined bank accounts with my wife. This involved me closing out my old bank account, which had been tied to Pointsbet. A couple days before I closed the account, I deposited $25 into Pointsbet. I received a confirmation email from Pointsbet claiming that the deposit had successfully processed. There has been no communication from Pointsbet since then, but it seems that my bank account must have closed before the transaction fully went through. Rather than sending any communication my way, asking me to link a new bank account, or even auto withdrawing the money from the account (my pointsbet account has had more than the $25 literally the entire time since the deposit), Pointsbet immediately sent my information to a collection agency - for an honest mistake. It is a trivial amount of money and could have easily been corrected with a quick communication, but they immediately elevated things (but frankly, even if it was a lot of money, it is immoral to not start with a direct communication). This seemingly will have implications on my credit score, which is unfair given the company's lack of communication. What's more, I had to contact Pointsbet's support team to ask them if this was a real thing or a scam from a fake collections agency. I was on hold for 55 minutes, and it took some time for the teams to communicate. I totally understand staffing, but, again, a proactive communication on their end would have saved me a lot of time in addition to the frustration and credit implication.

PointsBet New Jersey Pointsbet New Jersey is a licenses sports betting company operating in New Jersey

Pointsbet New Jersey is a licenses sports betting company operating in New Jersey. I had been doing business with them for over a year with no problems, however on February 28 I made a "futures" wager of $850 on the Boston Bruins to win the NHL's Atlantic Division which they did. The payout should have been $850 (my original wager) plus $510 in winnings however Pointsbet inexplicably voided the bet on May 27th even though the Bruins were in fact the winners of the NHL's Atlantic Division. I have attempted to resolve the matter with Pointsbet to no avail. I will eventually take them to court once courts open up if the matter cannot be resolved beforehand. They did pay me the $850 from my original wager but owe me the $510 in winnings.
