This section is where you explain exactly what went wrong. Platinum Contracting appears to offer general contracting, home renovation, and construction services. Focus on the following points when detailing your complaint:

• Type of service requested:

  • Was it for home renovation, roofing, basement finishing, landscaping, or general construction?

  • Provide a description of the scope of work agreed upon.

• Agreement details:

  • Was there a written contract or just a verbal agreement?

  • What were the agreed timelines and payment terms?

• What went wrong:

  • Did they start but never finish the job?

  • Was the work done incorrectly, against code, or so poorly it needed redoing?

• Timeline of events:

  • Date of contract or job acceptance

  • Start date and expected completion date

  • Key dates when issues occurred

  • Any dates when you contacted them and what they said

• Attempts to resolve the issue:

  • Did you try to speak with a supervisor or owner?

  • Did you request a refund or correction?

  • Were your efforts ignored or dismissed?

• Impact on you:

  • Did it delay other parts of your project?

  • Did it create financial loss, stress, or damage to your property?

  • Did you have to hire another contractor to fix their work?

• Red flags:

  • Did they provide vague or inconsistent information?

  • Did they use subcontractors without informing you?

  • Were they unlicensed or uninsured despite claiming otherwise?

Attaching supporting documents
Upload:

• Photos of incomplete or poor-quality work

• Signed contract, invoices, or quotes

• Payment proof (bank statements, receipts, e-transfers)

• Screenshots of texts, emails, or voicemail transcripts

Important: Redact any sensitive data like your full address, banking info, or ID details before uploading.

Filing optional fields

• Claimed Loss: State the total financial loss, including:

  • Amount paid for the unfinished or poorly done work

  • Additional costs to repair or complete the job
    Example: “$6,000 paid + $2,500 to hire a new contractor.”

• Desired Outcome: Be clear on what you want:

  • “Full or partial refund”

  • “Job completed to agreed-upon standards”

• Ensure your timeline, amounts, and claims are clear

• Make sure everything is written professionally
