One of the biggest issues is their false advertising of "unlimited disk space", which is actually capped at 100 GB. I understand that limitations exist, but I disliked how they were misleading about what they offer. Another problem is that they can suspend your account without any notice if you have a file over 50 MB; this happened with some regularity, and it's frustrating to be caught off guard by this policy. Even worse, the logs file that got flagged was part of the WordPress and WooCommerce platform, making it harder to rectify.

The support experience was poor as well. Communication was challenging due to their limited English skills, and things like server downtime often went unexplained for more extended periods. In addition, their latest UI changes were not well-received, and I felt that we, the customers, were tasked with testing half-finished products. For instance, they recommended switching from the established cPanel to NOC, which has too many bugs and other functionality issues to serve as a viable replacement.

There were other frequent issues that came up as well, such as clients being banned from their websites due to whitelist problems. I feel like my experience with them was akin to investing in a stock that soared for a while, only to come crashing down with no sign of rebounding. I tried to stay positive, but their threats of suspending my account due to temporary surges of data usage were the final straw. I had already hosted 150 GB of data at times over the last 3 years. It is unacceptable to punish loyal users who trust their services.

If you had asked me about PlanetHoster in 2018, I would have said they were fantastic, but in 2022, they are a shell of their former selves. I wish them the best, but I feel like my time with them has come to an end.
