Perfect Home Services Purchased a *** furnace on October 22

Purchased a *** furnace on October 22. We had no heat from Saturday, November 13 to Sunday November 14. Did not realize that purchasing a new furnace put us in the "warranty" category for service calls. Being persistent, a technician came out on Saturday and figured we needed a new motor which he installed. An hour after he left, left us again with no heat. Having a two stage furnace, one stage did not work so it shut down. A call to PHS set us up with an appointment on Sunday. However, when I called they explained that a third party takes appointments and we were not qualified. Persisting again, a technician was sent out on Sunday to help with the problem. He did determine that the "mother board" was the problem. A part needed to be ordered and we were informed that it would be installed on Monday, November 15. He left us with two space heaters. Hard to determine a rating until the furnace is repaired.

was professional, courteous and worked tirelessly to find the root of the problem, not just charge us for a temporary solution. He was the 3rd technician/company to work on our furnace and he found the problem that has been causing problems since last winter. We HIGHLY recommend, Kobie, and Perfect Home services.

The experience was awesome. The techs were very knowledgeable. It didnt take long to install the furnace and AC. They ran through the maintenance and how to run the new thermostat. They even cleaned up afterwards!

Perfect Home Services On 10-13-22 Perfect Home Services came to their scheduled appointment to perform routine seasonal maintenance using their furnace tune-up coupon

On 10-13-22 Perfect Home Services came to their scheduled appointment to perform routine seasonal maintenance using their furnace tune-up coupon of $49 which I noticed later, that it states a No Breakdown Guarantee of their service. Well a few days later the furnace stopped providing heat. A service technician came out to check it and found it was the furnace fuse needed replacement. They charged me $257.65 for replacing a $5 fuse. We also had a coupon for $50 off any heating or cooling service which he did no take. I called the company to complain of this fee we paid.I was told an email of the complaint would be sent to their client concern department. I have not heard back from them. I don't belieive I should have been charged this second fee. On 10/19/22 the furnace stopped working a second time, so a service call was placed. The scheduled arrival time was between 12pm - 5pm. the technician did not arrive until 8pm. The problem was due to a safety switch.

Perfect *** made my furnace tune-up. It did not take too much time because he efficiently checked every detail. I appreciate for that. When he was done, he explained what he did, and told me that there was some dirt underneath the furnace and needed to look out. I wish he could tell me why he could not work on that dirt today.

Perfect Home Services We called ***, the company on our water heater- found out they had been acquired by Perfect Home Services

We called ***, the company on our water heater- found out they had been acquired by Perfect Home Services. They diagnosed a faulty valve, but suggested we replace the whole system. They quoted us ~$15,000 for the new system. I told them we'd discuss over dinner and get back to them. They started to put on a high pressure sales pitch, suggested that it seemed like I just couldn't afford it, so they could give me a payment plan. I invited them to leave my home. I ***d the system they were trying to sell me. It's available at local hardware store for $1400. So, either it's so difficult to install that it's worth $13,600 in labor, or they're trying to rob me blind. I'm pretty sure it's the latter (esp since we found a proper plumber who would install it for way less). No wonder they put on high pressure to get you to agree on the spot! If they leave, you'll just *** and realize they're ripping you off!I'm sick to my stomach thinking of the people who fall for it, desperately wanting their hot water back. This company is crooked. Avoid.

Perfect Home Services BUYERS BEWARE!

BUYERS BEWARE! My furnace stopped working. We called PHS and they came out that same evening. He determined that the gas valve failed and said he would order the part and PHS would call first thing in the morning to schedule the repair. Our first call was made at noon then another call 2 1/2 hours later and another call 2 hours after that. No return call was received from the service manager or the technician. Meanwhile, we still have no heat. Also, to make matters worse the technician demanded pre-payment for a repair that has not been done. The poor dispatchers that answer the phone have sent emails and placed calls to no avail. One even said she comes on at 5pm and gets the third and fourth calls from frustrated customers! That says a lot about this business. The other concerning issues are PHS installed the furnace and central air 2 years ago. We have already had to have the capacitor replaced on the central air this year too. Makes me wonder about the quality of their work and products. We have requested a refund so that we can use a more reputable and professional company that values their customers and their work.

Perfect Home Services We first had John come out for a free estimate and he walked us through what our options were for the services we needed

We first had John come out for a free estimate and he walked us through what our options were for the services we needed. He left after answering our questions and set up our appt for Monday morning. Adam and his helper (apologies for not being able to remember his name!) showed up on time on Monday (even called ahead of time!) and introduced themselves. They were very polite and friendly. They came in the house and looked over the area with the issues. They explained what they were going to do and answered our questions. They immediately got to work and worked very hard! There were a few snags that they ran into but they simply explained their next steps and continued to work through it. They did an amazing clean up job and got us back in business. We appreciate all of their hard work, attention to detail, expertise and honestly, just their overall professionalism and friendliness. Obviously, plumbing issues suck but they made the whole experience much easier to deal with. The best part? The quality of it all AND the affordable pricing! How often would you associate plumbing problems with being affordable? Thanks guys!

Perfect Home Services Avoid this HVAC Company

Avoid this HVAC Company. They are not honest to their customer. They will tell a lie in an attempt to get business from you. This is based on experience that I got with this company. Just recently, I was looking for a furnace tune up, so I called this company to take advantage of their half price discount. The technician came to my house, spent about 25 minutes doing the tune up. When he finished, he went to his car and after 15 minutes, he came back, and he showed me the picture of my heat exchanger on his laptop. he said that my heat exchanger has a crack and I need to replace the furnace as soon as possible. I asked him if he can send somebody from his Company to give me an estimate of the cost of a new furnace and then somebody came on the same day. The estimator asked me when do I need the new furnace installed. I said after new year since that day was December 30th. He said he can not give me the estimate because after new year will be a different price. So I called a different HVAC guy, he gave me a very good price, so I decided to go with them. When he removed the old furnace, I asked him to check the crack on the heat exchanger and he found no crack. I was so frustrated. They will do all kinds of tactics to get business from their customer. Be careful with this company.

Perfect Home Services Plumber came out and failed to unclog our shower drain

Plumber came out and failed to unclog our shower drain. Quoted us for nearly $3k in repairs, and required us to pay half up front. When the installers came a week later to do the repairs, they tore a 3' square hole in our 1st floor ceiling to replace a part that did NOT need replacing. After the replacement, the drain was still clogged. At this point, the installers admitted the plumber was at fault and the replaced part was unnecessary work. $1500 of completely unnecessary work, plus now a ceiling to repair on my own dime. They then had to go to *** to get a power rod and within minutes had unclogged the drain. If the first plumber had done his job properly, we would have saved over $3k. Now we also have to pay to repair our plaster ceilings which will cost hundreds more dollars.I have been calling Perfect Home Services for WEEKS and nobody is giving me the time of day. The 50% I paid upfront was more than the full services cost, and they still haven't even acknowledged that they owe me a refund. I would argue that they shouldn't charge me anything regarding the unnecessary work they completed. I feel as though I was majorly taken advantage of in paying thousands of dollars unnecessarily due to an incompetent plumber. Don't give Perfect Home Services your money, they will take more than they should and run.

Perfect Home Services My mother recently used their plumbing service to replace a leaking cartridge in her bathtub faucet

My mother recently used their plumbing service to replace a leaking cartridge in her bathtub faucet. It was a minor repair which I was going to do myself, but was unable to get the old part off due to improper tools. I had already purchased the new cartridge and just needed it to be installed. Since Mom had used this company previously and was satisfied, she called them again. The plumber came, and instead of looking at the problem, had Mom sit down and sign some documents which she had no idea what they were. Then he asked to go into the basement and have a look around. When he finally got up to the bathroom, he said that he could not use the brand new part that I had purchased - he had to use his own in order to "guarantee his work." 20 minutes, later, he finished the job, and gave Mom a *** of ***! Mom was floored. She then went and got an estimate from a local plumber of what the job should cost, and was told ***. I can't speak for this company as a whole, but this particular person was clearly up to no good, and took advantage of a senior citizen. Both Mom and I made calls to the the company that same day, and both reps that we talked to said that someone would be in contact with us. We are both still waiting. My advice is to avoid dealing with this company, or at the very least, get several estimates for your job.

Perfect Home Services I'd give zero stars if I could

I'd give zero stars if I could. They got in our door because they recently bought out a company we used to use for our furnace inspections and were offering an "early bird special" for furnace cleaning and inspection at only $49. After looking at our furnace, the tech told my husband that there was a crack in it and that if we were to turn it on we'd have carbon monoxide leaking into our home - basically we'd need a new furnace. We were surprised to hear this because it's not that old, so we called a friend's company that has usually done the work for us to come in and give a second opinion. Our friend informed us that this company has been running this "early bird special" as a scam to get in people's doors and then try to sell you expensive fixes and equipment that aren't needed. Sure enough, their tech confirmed that our furnace looks great and is in perfect working condition. What makes it even more disturbing is that the tech from Perfect Home Servicess emailed my husband pictures of this supposed "crack" in our furnace. When we took a closer look at the photos, we were able to see a date on the equipment from back in May (he was at our house in August). This guy literally sent us pictures from someone else's furnace claiming it was ours and trying to get us to spend thousands on a new furnace. I wish I could just blame the tech, but from what I've heard this is standard practice from this company.

Perfect Home Services I purchased a new furnace and air conditioner with a 10 year warranty from Perfect home services three years ago

I purchased a new furnace and air conditioner with a 10 year warranty from Perfect home services three years ago. I thought that I won't have to deal with upselling and suggestions for repair costs. The first year I had an AC maintenance tune up, it was highly recommended, since I purchased a Trane AC, that an additive was needed at approx $150. The second year I had a furnace maintenance and my fan was dirty so it will cost me approx, $180 to clean on top of the furnace maintenance cost. The third year there was not an upsell, probably because I complained about it. Yesterday, I purchased an ejector pump from Perfect home services. I am a Gold member because I purchase an annual furnace/AC maintenance which provides me with a waiver of a dispatch fee of $49 and a 15% discount on other services. I was shown 4 options to fix my ejector pump. I chose the second highest cost with a 3 year warranty which was approx $1600. When I received my invoice, I received 2 invoices: One was $1400 and the other was for $694. I was being charged individually for Float switches$243 and Quiet check valve $299and to unseal and reseal the pit lid $151. I called and complained and they reinvoiced me for what I agreed to without the 15% discount or a $50. coupon. Buyer beware of the upsell and the nondisclosure of what you are purchasing... ask what the service covers and ask if what you agree to covers the entire cost of the project. I think they lack integrity and full disclosure.

Perfect Home Services My elderly Father spent around $15K for new furnace and A/C last October from these guys

My elderly Father spent around $15K for new furnace and A/C last October from these guys. A/C stopped working yesterday when it was ion the high 80's. The guy came out and first started selling us their "VIP" services for $180 even before he looked at our A/C. Then once he did he was blaming our electrical system and said it's probably not going to bed covered by a warranty. Then later he said it WAS the fault of the transformer on the4 circuit board and he needs a part. He will call us tomorrow morning to let us know when he can get one. He never called. I had to call and was put on hold for 25 minutes. Finally someone answered. Absolutely no help at all. They have no idea when they will get the part and no idea when they can send someone over to fix it. Now my parents are elderly, and my mother is suffering from severe *** It is important we get the house cooled and orange for someone to be home when they can fix this issue. They answered, put me on hold. I was on hold again for about 10 minutes and then they hung up on me! The temperature is already 82 degrees in the house! So, I had to go out and spend $$$ on portable A/C units which were not cheap. Then I looked at their Yelp reviews. In short do NOT do business with these guys! My father only did because he trusted Staedtler but they were bought out by Perfect... READ THEIR YELP REVIEWS! Obviously they don't care at all about customer service and complaints. Companies like this do not care about your business or the customer and need to be put out of business

Perfect Home Services Perfect Home Services bought out my locally owned HVAC company in the spring of 2021

Perfect Home Services bought out my locally owned HVAC company in the spring of 2021. They came out in October for my annual furnace check and to look at my AC which had suddenly stopped working. The technician arrived and began working. When I went down to check on him, he stated I had two repairs that needed to be done immediately for my system to begin working. He quoted the cost at approximately $1000. He also shared that it looked like my heat exchange was going bad and that I should look into purchasing a new system because with these repairs, I was getting close to the cost of a new furnace. He offered to have someone come out that night. I declined and said I would have to think about it. Two days later, I invited several companies to my home to quote a new system. One company came and showed me a few unusual pieces in my furnace that the Perfect Home technician did not put back into place following his visit. He also completed a separate diagnostic evaluation during this visit. In a matter of 25 minutes, and the replacement of one fuse, my entire system was working! 24 hours later, the system is still working. After this happened, I called the office to share my experience. They listened and apologized. I asked for their response in writing, which I was told would be emailed by the end of the day. They did call back to state they received more information from their tech that he tried to change the fuse himself and it didn't work. Following this phone call, I received another 2 calls that I missed from *** (not sure his role). I returned *** phone call, which was also not returned. WHAT A SCAM! I feel violated, upset, and angry that this happened and I HOPE it doesn't happen to anyone else! BEWARE OF PERFECT HOME SERVICES!

Perfect Home Services ***, the original inspector/cleaner they sent, was great

the original inspector/cleaner they sent, was great. Nice guy, very friendly. Professional. I respected him. We set up a followup for a full system analysis on the far-too-old (but still functioning fine) *** guy who came out to pitch me on a new Furnace/AC system was respectful, but a high-pressure, salesman type. The scheduler messed up, but at least apologized for doing so. The installers were clearly going for speed and obviously didn't care that they left metal shavings, screws, and debris all over the basement. They also forgot to remove the humidifier and water line, but the manager sort of tried to pretend that they were going to schedule a separate appointment to do that. He offered no apologies, no admissions that they had forgotten, and no courtesy discounts for the condition the basement was left in. I told him I didn't care to have anyone from there back at that property. Unfortunately, I think I'll need to have them service it in order to keep the manufacturer's warranty in-tact. If that's the case, I intend to be very difficult with them in the future, especially considering I stepped on one of the pointed end screws the installation company left behind. I allowed my grandma's caretaker to initial the installation acknowledgment since I was still at work and didn't want to make the guys wait a half hour.I wish I'd left work and seen the condition of the basement & that the humidifier/water line had not been touched by the installation crew, who were supposed to uninstall it and, at least to my understanding, replace the ductwork all the way up to where the humidifier had been They replaced only the duct work around the new furnace and put in a new-sized exchange with a totally new filter size. So I have like 4 or 6 filters left from my previous furnace that I'll now have to use at another of my properties that (hopefully) takes the same size. They never even mentioned that they'd be changing that part.

Perfect Home Services Good and bad stuff happened

Good and bad stuff happened... In December my furnace stopped working I kept having different companies reschedule and cancel, but Perfect Home services was available and arrived to check my furnace. My furnace was 15 years old and they told me it was expensive to repair and I was better off replacing my furnace. Being cold and having little choice, I bought a new furnace from them. They charged me $4,000.00 for a new furnace. About two months ago Perfect Home services called me and asked to schedule an A/C tune up service for $60.00. I decided it would be best for them to check my system since they had installed a new thermostat and I wanted to make sure I was good to go for the Summer. They came to check on 5/13 and said that I was good to go for the summer with no issues. Then it got warm, it must have been 85 degrees in the house, so I turned on the A/C and felt no cold air. I called to complain that it wasn't working and I was told by the operator that they might have left something disconnected during the A/C tune up. They sent someone else out to check my A/C and told me that I had no coolant at all and that the coil above my furnace must be leaking and that it looks like it was not replaced when my A/C unit was installed in 2012. He then told me that replacing the expensive old freon was going to cost me $150.00 per pound and that I needed 10 pounds. He gave me a quote of $3,162.00 to replace my coil and fill my system. I then got a call from the member who installed my furnace offering me a "great deal" of $3,700.00 to replace my outdated system with an up to date system that uses the new freon. I had them email me their new estimates. Being that it's a comfort issue, unlike needing a furnace mid-winter, I put in some window units and took my time getting more estimates from other companies. I ended up having someone else give me an estimate of $1,100.00 for the repair and refill. I now do not trust this company anymore. These actions seemed shady, manipulative, and opportunistic. I just want my $60.00 back now, since it seems like a "tune-up" probably means driving past your house and giving a thumbs up.

I called Perfect Service company when my air conditioner was not working property and no longer was cooling my home. a technician from Perfect Service Company came to our home to look at our air conditioning unit . The technician told us we needed a new unit. Upon our request, they sent a salesman out to our home. he told us he needed to measure our home so he would be in a position to recommend the proper unit which would be the correct size for our home. He inspected our home, measuring every room, after such inspection, he told us which unit we needed, we then contracted with and purchased that from him on his recommendation. We were acting in good faith thinking the representative they sent was as knowlegable as he claimed to be. An expert in this industry. after the installation, our home was not cool. it was hot. after 7 service calls (which we had to be away from work for) in which the technician was unable to cool our home we were told the problem was our ductwork. that was the same ductwork which the salesman inspected upon making his expert recommendation of which unit we should purchase. At the time When they spoke to us about the ductwork being wrong, the company representative told us we needed a smaller unit which was priced less than the unit we purchased. They told us they would not refund the price between the two units--The more expensive unit they initially installed and the smaller less expensive unit they put in after the problems. They told us they only needed to make us "whole" and offered us a token refund of $1100.00

I purchased a new furnace and air conditioning unit from Perfect home services and had them install it the next day. During the sales pitch, the sales guy ensured to bring up that Perfect home services have a guarantee that if I am not satisfied they will refund my money and take their stuff back and put mine back, which is a great comfort to know they trust themselves that much. Well not for me, during the install they broke my air humidifier and told me that I would have to buy a new one if I wanted one. I just let them finish and called my sales guy who had to call someone else and on Monday I had a new air humidifier for free, fine I can live with that. Fast forward to October and I have to use my heat but to my discovery setting my temp, 72 degrees is not making my house comfortable and needs to be at 74 or higher with the new system to keep it comfortable which is not the right new unit should require less than what it took a 20-year unit to do, so I called them back to have them come out again. I call my sales guy and he goes into the whole process of how a thermostat and furnace work and telling me that with the new unit it has to be set higher cause it is a different unit. I had enough and said I wanted my old system back and wanted to return the one they installed and was told a manager will have to handle that. I talked to a manager and asked him the same thing and he just brushed over it like it was nothing. Here I am now filing a complaint cause they offer things they can't promise cause they can't put my old unit back cause their techs broke it while they were taking it out not sure how you offer a guarantee that you can't stand behind.

On June 4, I hired Perfect Home Services to Certify in a letter that our heating system would start up safely & provide heat for the new owner, as we were selling our condo. This requirement is necessary for the Village of Lyons, Il. in order to sell. Within minutes the Tech had our heater disassembled & said I needed a new heater at $5K or he will shut down the system & flag it. We settled on a new induction motor & capacitor for $2,200.00. The Inspector for Lyons called me afterward & said we should not have paid anything, nor was work to be performed, they just wanted a letter stating: The system starts up safely & provides heat. Nothing more. He also said the letter provided by them is useless, as that would scare anybody. I contacted Perfect Home Services & they said they would help & send an appropriate letter, 3 days now, & no letter. I'm closing on this property on June 18, & now need to hire another Co. They effectively scammed a retired man out of $2,200.00.

Perfect Home Services Business installed a clean out and back flow device in main sewer line

Business installed a clean out and back flow device in main sewer line. Back flow device failed within 1st week of installation. Was inspected after my basement had flooded and reason given was not installed properly, no further proof of function has been tested other than saying it shouldn't happen again. Stack that comes from the sewer pipe to the surface is leaning crooked. The company has also offer no proof the installation passed the required village inspection. I have called multiple time a week for several months since the installation and have not gotten any where with remedying the situation. They are always 'gonna call to schedule the repair' and 'email the village approval to me' but never follow through. The manager Joe who sold the job and who it seems is responsible for fixing my issues is always in training or a meeting when I call to speak with him. They were able to sell the job, obtain the permit, complete the install, and take my money all in less than a week but cannot schedule the warranty repair or scan and email a document in more than 4 months now.
