Peoples Independent Bank did not pay matured CD interest on time.
Peoples Independent Bank did not pay matured CD interest on time. My 6-month CD matured on August 10 2023. Peoples Independent Bank still has not paid my interest as of today August 15. My Charles Schwab fixed income agent representative told me to wait until August 17 one week after the matured date and call for the issue if interest is still not paid after one week.
I have never experience doing business with any bank withhold paying interest for one week.
On 8/21, we tried to refinance our house with People Independent Bank
On 8/21, we tried to refinance our house with People Independent Bank. We gave them all the info they needed to approve our loan. Meanwhile, we were trying to buy a property next to ours using ***. They already approved my loan with them, but we couldn't go through with the loan because PIB didn't approve my loan with them. We planned on using the refinance money to buy the other land. They use the same rules and regulations as the other bank. We sent PIB and Homepoint the same info they needed to get the loan approved, but PIB wouldn't approve my loan. Plus, PIB is going to charge me $649.00 for the appraisal of my house for them not approving my loan. Not including other costs. My loan number for *** is XXXXXXXXXX, and my loan number for PIB is XXXXXXXXXX. I feel like I've been taken advantage of, and now everyone involved wants money from me. It's all PIB's fault that the refinance didn't go through.
