Pawshake The worst experience of my life - DO NOT USE

Our pet sitter, Natalie from Sunderland, fed our elderly sick cat the wrong food, causing him to lose significant weight over a fortnight. She didn't notice that our dog had vomited and peed in her crate, meaning our dog had to sleep in her own vomit and wee for many days on end. She brought flour mites into the house, causing over £100 of damage to our food and meant we had to spend 3 hours cleaning the kitchen when we got home. She got blood on the sheets and didn't even bother to clean it up. She broke both hot taps in the bathroom. She failed to carry out the most basic instructions and lied to us to say she had done something when she hadn't. It was only because we used a petcam that we could check up on her and know for sure she hadn't done what she said she had. She left dirty knickers at the house after she left. She left the bin overflowing in the garden. She left food wrappers under the bed and kebab skewers in the kitchen. All in all, the absolute worst service I have ever experienced in all my life.

Recommendation: Avoid like the plague

Pawshake Pawshake Review: False Advertising and Inflexible Reservations

okay so i gotta say i was pretty disappointed with pawshake. they advertised that you could change or cancel a reservation if you needed to, but when i tried to do that, they told me no way. that's just ridiculous, how can you have a service like this and not let people make adjustments? i was ready to give them a big fat zero stars but i guess i'll settle for one. definitely won't be using them again!

Pawshake Pawshake - The Stress-Free Solution for Pet Care While You're Away!

I gotta say, I really like this Pawshake thing! Whenever I gotta go away on a vacay (which ain't often, but ya know), I used to stress about who was gonna take care of my beloved pooch. But with Pawshake, I can relax and know that my girl is in good hands.

The sitters on Pawshake are top-notch - they really know their stuff when it comes to pets. They're experienced and responsible, so I never gotta worry about my doggie getting into trouble or not getting enough love and attention while I'm gone.

And the best part? When I came back from my last trip, my girl was all happy and playful. I could tell she had been well-fed and taken care of, both physically and mentally. That's one less thing for me to worry about, ya know?

Overall, if you're a pet owner who's gotta travel from time to time, I highly recommend Pawshake. It's a great way to keep your furry friends happy and healthy while you're away. So go ahead, give it a try - your pup (or kitty, or bird, or whatever) will thank you for it!

Pawshake Pawshake Disappointment: Sitter Fails to Provide Medication and Little Help from Support

I recently used Pawshake to book a sitter for my beloved cat. I found a sitter who claimed she could give my cat his necessary medications. However, when the time came, she wasn't able to do so. I cancelled my booking but only received back 50% of my payment. I reached out to Pawshake for assistance but unfortunately, no one has been able to help me as of yet. It's unfortunate that Pawshake seems to be enabling pet sitters to take advantage of pet owners by not fulfilling their promised services. It's quite frustrating and disappointing.

Pawshake Pawshake Review: Unreliable and Unresponsive - Wouldn't Recommend

i recently had an experience with pawshake and i am not too happy about it. my lil' pupper came back home with a little owie that wasnt there before. i tried contacting them about this and even included all the bills from the doctor but i didn't get any proper response. it's really unfair because they advertise their services as "peace of mind" and "happiness guarantee" but it seems like it's all a bunch of lies. to make things worse, they went ahead and disabled my account, as if i was the one in the wrong.

overall, i wouldn't recommend pawshake to other pawrents out there. there are plenty of other pet sitting services that are more reliable and trustworthy. don't waste your time and money with pawshake because they won't take care of you or your fur baby if something goes wrong.

Pawshake Mixed Experiences with Pawshake: Payment Process Needs Improvement

I've been using Pawshake for a while now and I gotta say, it's been a mixed bag. While I've had some great experiences with both pet owners and pet sitters, there have been some hiccups along the way. Recently, I completed a two-month home and pet sitting gig in Berlin, but I'm still waiting for Pawshake to pay me my fee, even though the pet owners already paid months ago. It's been a frustrating experience to say the least.

The website keeps prompting me to upload an official document to confirm my address, but when I tried to submit one, it didn't accept it. This is especially frustrating because I can't seem to find anyone to help me with my issue. I've received several automated emails from the Pawshake team, but they've only repeated the same thing over and over again. I'm at my wits' end and am seriously considering opening a case with the pet owner, who was very pleased with my service.

It just doesn't seem right that Pawshake would go to such lengths to avoid paying a sitter who did everything right. It's not like they haven't already received their share of the payment from the pet owner, which makes the situation even more baffling. It's a good thing the pet owner and I have a good relationship, otherwise, this problem would've put a serious damper on a great experience.

Overall, while Pawshake can be a great platform to find pet sitters or pet owners, the payment process needs some significant improvement. I'm hoping that I won't have to go through this headache again in the future and that Pawshake will take steps to make the payment process more efficient and user-friendly.

Pawshake Unprofessional and Unsafe: My Experience with Pawshake's Policies During COVID-19

I used to use Pawshake (pawshake.com) to book sitters for my furry friends when I go out of town. It was okay at first, but I recently had some issues with the company's policies. I was surprised when they asked me to meet with clients before making bookings, even though there are COVID restrictions in place. At first, I thought it was a mistake, so I tried to get in touch with the customer support team. To my surprise, I found out that it's just one of their requirements, and they don't seem to take the current situation seriously.

I was already upset about it, so I wrote to them expressing my thoughts. I even pointed out that it's not stated in their terms and conditions, but they still didn't budge. After a few days, they finally got back to me, and to my shock, they had canceled my account. Their response stated that my feelings weren't lining up with their goals, so they didn't want to continue doing business with me.

I found it incredibly frustrating that they didn't even care to address the real issue and instead took the easy way out. It's sad to see that a company that is supposed to take care of animals doesn't prioritize the well-being of their customers and followers. In the end, I found another service that is more accommodating and has better policies. I wouldn't recommend Pawshake to others because of their unprofessionalism and lack of consideration for people's safety during these trying times.

Pawshake Pawshake's Misleading Rating System and Lack of Investigation - A Cautionary Tale for Pet Owners

I recently used Pawshake to find a pet sitter for my furry friend while I went on holiday. Unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. The pet sitter I found cancelled in the middle of my reservation, claiming that my pet was very ill. However, when I asked for proof or a call with my pet, the sitter stopped responding. This left me and my pet in a vulnerable position, with no one to care for them while I was away.

To make matters worse, Pawshake did not investigate the sitter's claims and instead approved their request for cancellation. As a result, I only received a partial refund for the days unused, and had to spend my valuable time and energy dealing with the sitter's cancellation.

In the end, my friends had to step in and evacuate my pet from the situation at great cost to them. However, when they sent me photos and videos of my beloved pet, they were perfectly fine and without any health issues. This led me to believe that the sitter was lying about my pet's condition, and that Pawshake had not done enough to verify their claims.

Furthermore, when I left a review of the sitter on Pawshake's website, I noticed that the highest rating was the only one shown on their profile. This seemed dishonest to me, as there are five parameters for rating a sitter including communication, conscientiousness, accuracy of the profile, treatment of animals, and value. Additionally, it appeared that Pawshake only presented the maximum rating for these parameters, rather than an average.

I understand that my experience may not be the norm, and that it ultimately depends on the sitter you find. However, I feel that Pawshake's rating system is misleading and not transparent enough for pet owners. Additionally, their lack of investigation and action regarding my situation leaves much to be desired. I caution anyone considering using Pawshake to be aware of these potential pitfalls.

Pawshake Pawshake: A Negligent and Irresponsible Platform for Petsitting Services

I recently became a Petsitter for Pawshake, a website that offers pet owners a platform to find someone to watch over their furry friends. I was initially impressed by the fact that my profile was carefully checked and vetted before I was approved, and I even recommended the site to some of my own clients. However, my opinion of Pawshake quickly changed after a recent experience left me incredibly disappointed.

One of my regular clients used Pawshake to find a replacement Petsitter when I was unavailable. They had previously used the site and had a great sitter, so they assumed they would have a similar experience this time around. I dropped the dogs off at the owner's house with the chosen Petsitter and advised them to call me if they needed any help or encountered any problems.

Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill. The Petsitter left the property every few hours and didn't respond to the owner's messages. Neighbors complained about the excessive barking coming from the house, and after waiting for three hours without any response from the Petsitter, I was asked to go check on the dogs.

What I found was truly alarming. The house was pitch dark, the lounge door was left open despite instructions to keep it shut, and the baby gate that was meant to keep the dogs from going up the stairs had been removed. There were pee pads all over the floor, overflowing food bowls, and only a tiny water bowl for the two dogs. As an experienced pet sitter myself, it was clear that the Petsitter had planned to abandon the dogs all along.

Even after repeated attempts to contact Pawshake and voice my concerns, the company ignored my pleas for help. My pre-existing bookings were canceled by existing clients because I refused to put anyone's dogs at risk due to the company's negligence and dishonesty.

The Petsitter was expressly told not to return to the house, but they ignored these orders and let themselves back in to gather their belongings. Pawshake claimed that this was not a criminal offense and didn't seem to care about the owner's concerns.

The fact that Pawshake intentionally removes the ability for owners to leave negative feedback on their site proves that the company is more concerned about making a profit than they are about the welfare of the animals they are meant to be caring for. It's clear that the company has no intention of providing a professional standard of service or taking responsibility for any mistakes or problems that occur.

I strongly recommend that pet owners steer clear of Pawshake and find a more reliable, trustworthy Petsitter to watch over their furry friends.

Pawshake No help following pet sitter cancellation

I booked a sitter through Pawshake for the 8th to 15th September 2023

On the 4th of Septmber I received a message from Pawshake to say that my sitter had cancelled. 4 days before I was due to go on a family holiday

On their website there is a "Pawshake Guarantee" which states that if a sitter cancels at short notice, "please contact us immediately so we can help you look for a replacement Pawshake sitter"

I immediately replied on the 4th of September asking what I could do. Their way of "helping" me find a replacement, was to send me a link to their website and profiles so I could find a sitter myself. This is not helpful!

I was unable to find an appropriate new sitter and, as a result one of my family members had to stay at home and take care of the animals instead of coming on holiday with us

We lost his flight costs of £330 and his share of the villa we had booked which was £257

Desired outcome: £587 compensation for my family member having to stay behind due to lack of help finding a replacement sitter
