I recently conducted two tests on PatchBit, a location app available on patchbit.tech, and the results were quite confusing. I used my Samsung Galaxy S8, which was fixed in the same position outdoors on a garden table. Despite being surrounded by 15-story buildings, the area had a fairly open grass space and strong GPS and 4G signals.

My plan was to test various location apps using two standard mobile devices under controlled circumstances. I operated the test from my iPhone XR and started the first test at 20:30 ECT, about 100 meters away from the test phone. Surprisingly, the indicated position was approximately 11 kilometers west of the actual location. After about an hour, while conducting other tests, I moved my iPhone to the second spot, which was now 900 meters south of the test device.
