I had been a long time customer of Consumer's Propane out of Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Consumers has serviced my personal residence for 6 years and dozens of new construction homes in Northern Rhode Island since 2017. Never did Consumer's Propane confuse the different open and closed accounts, merge any of our accounts, fail to transfer closed accounts out of our name, or fail to collect auto debt for expense to our accounts. Paraco Propane purchased Consumer's Propane in early 2025. The merger was a complete failure. There is no more self initiated communication from Paraco, customer service breakdowns and inconsistent responses between the Sales Representative, local office staff and corporate staff, which is out of NY. They have not been able to deliver when they said they would or fail to auto debt accounts to be paid. Paraco Propane will say it was not set up; So to my previous point, it had been set up three separate times. Paraco Propane has confirmed with me a number of times our accounts were on auto delivery and auto pay but yet they are not. I have to call in to make payments. When I have called their customer service number three times, I was placed in a Q as the 54th, 57th and 64th caller. There is no way to leave a message to obtain a call back. I am now been working on obtaining a "Closing Letter" to sell one our newly constructed homes, which Paraco Propane has been supplying the tanks and propane too. Paraco Propane's Corporate Office out of NY tells me, they will not provide me the Closing letter; it has to go directly to the closing attorney. Paraco Propane again tell me we have an outstanding balance. Between Paraco Propane's local office and corporate office, I have been instructed three different ways on how to obtain a Closing Letter.
Recommendation: Stay Local
