I worked for ODJFS intermittent position in the PUA side. I was laid off back in June. I had nothing but problems applying for my unemployment they keep putting an identity verification issue on my claim, there is so much fraud going around with Ohio unemployment there system is incompetent to tell what claim is really fraud my pay is being held again, it’s so stressful to the point you want to jump off a bridge. I feel like this is being done on purpose. Especially when it’s time for rent to be paid I’m livid, this is ridiculous, now I truly know how claimants really feel

I took a look at my life insurance and oddly enough "suicide" is covered! I also noted that I am more value to my children dead than alive. Behind all this stress of simply trying to obtain funds that belong to me rightfully, an uncountable amount of phone calls & so called "call backs" that never connect or go thru; the solution seems so obvious! They have a dad so they will have a guardian but this way they will have the funds needed to thrive! Laid off at not fault of my own. I really wish it didn't have to come to this. But I just want it to be clear as to why it was done. Unemployment created a level of stress and set backs I can't come back from so I did what I decided was best! Please let me be the last that experience such stress & depression behind a flawed system!

Any and all departments, I have had my benefits for unemployment be verified, approved , the a manual hold placed that for eight weeks of calling still no one can tell me where, who or how or was placed

After being approved,after ten days my benefits of 14k disappeared to 0. No reason. No explanation. Asked for a hearing, waited no one called so called the hearing phone line to talked to hearing employee. She said that court case before right have ram over. To be patient wait for call

This was 9 am at 1/pm we call back, they must have forgot and she went to reschedule we'll just put you didn't answer. No that's incorrect and a lie

They never called. Rescheduled the hearing still haven't received it. Just like charged for child support while in have all parental rights and my husband adopted them. No Court order showing I have pay ever shown. When abuse was found to happened took my kids to.cos to be told the abuse wasn't here cant help you. Though was told by legal advice to go where custody case was. When I ask for one they claim spousal support though we weren't married 10 years had a disillusionment not divorce again no decree and he remarried after he defrauded the army on6/6.2006. Papers filed with county stamp are claim to be not there thought they are. States cannot go after ex for the 4 thousand over payment thought took it with no order. Then after verbal assaults by Steve wygle and said to be a liar funds claimed to be sent back was incorrect by over 1k as I have The canceled check. Hearings with any odjfs department or connected to disappear. Illegally on mu credit report for over seventeen years though no court order and federal.statue is 10 years. Wrote to attorney general Yost and only thing he could say was to get a civil rights attorney. BC he would be representing ODJFs. As infill this out someone tried to submit application for assistance after.only give one day for.verification though approved and verified on 7/20/22.

My identity was stolen back in April and unemployment paid the person who stole my identity a weeks pay without getting approval from my employer. I was laid off May 27th 2022 and sent in my proof of me being me. They received it at mid-June. I still haven't received one payment from them! I keep getting messages that I owe them the money and a penalty for the person stealing my identity. I am NOT paying a penalty for THEM NOT doing their job correctly and someone else collecting money in my name. I have been without income all summer and in this day and age it is difficult. No one wants to hire a 63 year old. I WANT the money that should be mine! Almost every person that works at the agency I work for I returned to work on the 15th of this month had problems with unemployment. IT NEEDS A COMPLETE OVERHAUL!

I have nothing but issues receiving my unemployment. Your Oh ID two step verification is a pain in the butt. My phone number changed because my phone died and I had to buy a new one. I tried two change it on the Ohio id website and it would not allow me to do anything. This has gone on for over 4 weeks. This meant I could not access my Ohio platform to provide answers to things you all needed. I had to call in to to my weekly file. My phone number and address are still incorrect because no one including me in my own account are not allowed to change them!

Now I have had no payed over two weeks because once again for the third time I have to provide the exact same documents to prove who I am. I also missed all the RESEA stuff you required because the people calling to set this up had the wrong phone number!

I have no money to buy food or pay my rent or other bills. Luckily with your crappy system I do not qualify for food stamps because I make to much on unemployment that I cannot get because you all have a such an horrible system! This started in the beginning of June and is still an issue weekly!

I have tried to call the department for 4 days now everyday I wake up at 8:30 and call and every time I have been on hold for 45-50mins and after that I just give up and hang up due to people having lives I can’t stay on hold for almost 1hour. I think this is very bad on the call center part. Also I have filed online but it keeps saying that my identity needs to be verified this is such a horrible experience for anyone trying to file or just get someone on the phone for a simple question. I am very frustrated and want this to be fixed for others. As I am typing this I have been on hold for approximately 43 mins and counting…. Let’s fix this rather than fixing other things that is not broke. Thank you

I got laid off March 31 2020 when coivd shut down my place there four I had no income didn't have money to pay rent bills nothing got evicted i didnt sign up till December 15 when my friend let me stay for a bit witch I'm still here back and forth on the phone trying to get what I was entitled to I see alot of these people had the same experience I had when they got on the phone send my ID everything then theirs always something they didn't receive I been threw miserable like I'm the one to blame over this covid.. I even sent in my eviction notice and everything took them a year to get some money then all the sudden they stop my only income I was getting then lied about I was overpaid how when i know exactly how much i was making a week im getting ahold of attorney then when the weekly benefits ended they took it off how is that right then I got bad service here with no car or running water, people I work with I been working their longer then them and they got all their money they kept saying why I waited so long how can I do anything when I had a time frame that I had to be out by then how I was supposed to call or get online j didn't have a phone or no way to a computer then they called me when I had no service here sorry 2 mins late comon i barley had enough stuff to sell to get my phone turn back on...they blame all of us saying its our fault pretty much where are you guys resources at you should know exactly how much we make nothness I was working for westaffbetter my sister gave me a job their and we don't talk and she lied on me cause the hatred me and my sis was going threw I just wanted help been 2 years without water car nothing I'm going to get this out here you be hearing from me personally because this isn't right I sent and done everything you guys wanted I walked in cold weather to get signal to make sure we're on the right page witch you guys skipped chapters one women says one thing the other says a whole different story one said I was approved then the next day when it was pending still called and the other woman said I don't see that your approved so basically she told me that cause her shift was over wanted me to get off the phone that's not how you treat someone in need lied period back to my boss I don't know if the money is coming out of his pocket he ask me to go back to work guess what I'm to far away and living like a dog to go back to work I live way out skirts no need to say much more my employer of westaffbetter lied about how much money I was making and lied on mh mcds tax papers that I work threw then to get a restaurant job somebody is going to get in some serious trouble the bad thing she runs the place up their...sorry I'm just so low I can't even talk I'm lost for words I never try to get regular employment ever if this is how they treat you..while I was living with the dogs my coworkers brought a new car while I was down on my luck plus my employer put a bad word on me so I been trying to get job Noone calls back as I said when I first introduced to her me and my sister was getting along this happens family problems turn into something worst ..

I was fired from my job on 2/14/21 unfairly and have been fighting with unemployment for almost a year. I worked at for them for 8 years and I have never been on unemployment. I was bullied and harassed from my ex employer until they could fire me for unfair reasons. They lied about several things in the appeal and the phone appeal. All my appeals have been denied and so has my wavier for overpayment amount. I do not have the money to pay them back and have been struggling to pay my bills already. I have been separated from my husband and have my two kids with me. I pay all the bills for us and don't have any extra to worry about the twelve thousand I have to pay back. I am so stressed about this and so upset. I have no idea what to do next... Please help me because that was one of the worst times in my life and this is definely not helping me. I'am a honest and work working person and don't understand why i'am going thru.

I was denied unemployment, funny over a heath issue bad legs and working overtime at amazon, for 1 month, so with procedures every week and a over 12,000 dollar bill thanks so much for any relief that might have helped getting behind on bills due to amazon not letting me have a sit down job for 1 month, at 50 years old, I almost cant wait to retire due to the fact thats a joke as well. I guess if I had a bunck of kids from all over and smoked weed maybe I would have received benefits, trying to read to letters u get to fight with is a joke, I did everthing I was supposed to, even found a different job. This world we live in and f nut running the country is a joke to the higest levels, I lost faith in everthing from our system it fails, lisa cosner

March 2021 to September 2021 I didn't received any of my PUA payments. I've won all 3 of my appeals. Have waited for a entire year, April 2022 they said they deposited my lump sum. As of this second, I am still waiting for my money.

Everytime I call, it's another reason of no one knowing what the hold up is. Then they submit an inquiry form.. several of them. I have lost my car, my residence, all because I have no money. For a year. Credit card bills, insurance z 3tc. I wish no one lives what I have endured. I need someone to help me, listen to me. I've done everything possible that I can do. I even emailed Ohio representative, and they told me there was nothing they could do.

I filed for unemployement in the beginning of 2021. It is now 2022. I gave not ever received so much as $1 from them. I have been cooperative and sent them everything they ever asked for. I call every day and I am always sent to a recording in which 50% of the time I receive a call back. Still I am waiting to get the money owed to me and they just continue to pass the buck and nothing is ever resolved an entire year later. The agents can't be bothered to even do their jobs. They just tell you a [censored] story and you get dismissed. I am tired for fighting for what I am eligible for. I lost everything waiting for these funds and yet no one even cares. I am tired of hearing I am so sorry and again nothing happens. At what point does this stop? At what point does something get done? How far up the ladder do I need to keep contacting to get something done? I will continue contact all the higher ups until I get a response showing the proof that my issue has been corrected. My claim is for pua unemployement from May 2021-July 2021. With back pay from 3/2021 -5/2021. That's how long it took them to even proceed my claim. To make it all even worse my monetary determination has been updated more tines than I can remember. But still I have not received any money as of today. Case after case has been opened and no agent has ever done any more than that. Maybe you should give people jobs who actually do work instead of doing nothing. Maybe if you all lost everything you owned from your home, to your car, and right down to the basic imenities of life like food, clothes you would actually clean up the way unemployement operates. At that point don't you think that somebody should do something? I even had to move so I was near family to take me in. You should be ashamed of this department.

Called a few times and no answer or call was forwarded to a call back appointment. All am owed was 500 dollars which at this day an age helps greatly. After filing a few weeks ago still no payment to my account. Called a representative and she wasquite helpful but still no payment.

I was denied several times from unemployment due being fired from my job last year who I was employed with for over 8 years. I was wrongfully dismissed due to being bullied and harassed by management and they found ways to get me fired. they also lied about what has happened with the situation. I tried several times to get the appeal from unemployment and the time has been long. They final got to my case and denied everything and also the time frame is completely wrong. I tried to appeal again and they denied it again. I didn't know if I should get a lawyer to fight this w them and the employer. Here is the original appeal letter

I worked for dayton childrens for almost eight years. The time of my firing was unjust because they bullying me, harassed me hoping that I would quit but I didn't. that's why iam filing this appeal.

It all started during the pandemic when half of the staff was furloughed including myself. There was four office coordinators before the furlough and two of us got laid off. When we came back from furlough there was three office coordinators left one retired. The other office coordinator got promoted and left two of us doing the work of four people. During this time the manager treated the furlough staff differently by harassing and bullying some of us. I was treated with hatred and Bullied due to going on unemployment the last 3 weeks of furlough because the hours and days I could not work because of my kids and husband. These positions were in other departments and had long shifts I couldn't to because of home schooling and husband working. I was working 3rd, 2nd, 1st shifts with doing a second shift one day then going home and getting 6 hours of sleep and coming back for first shift. They did not care about family life or the person themselves. I got seriously sick due to the stress and having crazy hours I went on unemployment and opted out of pool positions then filed for unemployment for three weeks. Then they called me back and I work for two months without ever occurring any PTO time because I was still considered pool.

When I came back I was treated differently and was constantly harassed by the manager there was only two office coordinators now doing a job of four people. The other office coordinator was diagnosed with cancer and started to be in and out of work so I was doing both our jobs so when she came back it was less for her to do plus she was training people when she was there and didn't have much time to do her duties. That left me with all the duties during this time.

What led up to the firing was when they asked me to take care of the faxes which was another Duty I could not handle at this time. Which I told them with all the extra task I would not have time to do it plus it was out of my way which is on the other side of the office where I never go to. Just to give the faxes to the nurses because the nurses refused to do the job. They told me I have to do it and yelled at me. I told him I could not but told them I would try to do once a week just to be a team player and each person could take a day. When I was at my desk there was only me and the other office coordinator. My pin fell out of my hand and landed on the floor right in front of me. The manager lied and stated i threw it across the room which she was not even nowhere around when it fell out of my hand. She came and harrased me again later that day then when I left my desk for a few minutes to cry which I needed a little break. During the break I was so upset and crying so hard I needed a minute to calm down and they were talking bad about me with other staff members why I was gone and throughout my time after furlough. A few business days later they fired me.

I worked there for almost eight years and was dedicated to taking care of the children. I lived the Dayton Children's values and standards everyday but they did not. They lied about certain things just to fire me. I have never been treated so badly by the leadership team they had lied and for me to even write this is terrible. And having to write this letter it makes me sad to see employers treat people like this and get away with it. I never reported any of this because I was in fear of getting fired because they don't want you to think for yourself and if you stand up for yourself they will fire you I'm a perfect example of it.

The decision for my case was not giving a fair concentration because the employer lied about a few statements and I feel that I was not heard in this case. First of all the date of the original appeal is not right which was filed on 7/9/21 and no one got back to me for MONTHS… (original email included in the fax) Which I understood because I am sure unemployment offices were over whelmed. I finally was able to send a message a different way and was contacted about the appeal which ended not being until 12/29/21. The lady who was part of the appeal is with HR and never was in the meetings during the time in question as I got fired. The reason she stated in the hearing was not the same included in the appeal decision and unemployment didn’t even consider my side of the issue. I didn’t throw my pen across the room! It fell out of my hands and there was no one around when that happened except another Office coordinator who didn’t even see the whole thing. I never shock my finger at the supervisor and the Director was on the computer during this meeting. She was not able to see the whole room or even me much. She asked for my solution which I said I will take a day as well as the nurses who was doing the job for 3 months prior to this. Which they refused and did not get any discipline action. I feel that no one listened to me at all. I was bullied and harassed for months prior to being fired. They did not want me to work there anymore and found several ways to try to fire me. They lied about the misconduct because I was professional during these issues and try my best on my job duties. There was only 2 steps that occurred before the final day. I HAVE never been on unemployment (besides the 3 weeks during furlough) and have never been fired. I can’t understand why the decision was made on the employer’s side when they were the ones who did the misconduct and is able to get away with it. I’m sad that unemployment did not help me or was not even there for me when I needed them the most during this horrible time in my life. Included in the fax is the original email for the repeal that states my side plus the appeal in December should of also be consider because they did lie about the reasons I was fired which makes me wonder if my voice was ever heard in this case?

Office personnel disconnected my online account when I filed for benefits extension the last week of January 2021. I was unable to get through after hors on phone. I was totally blocked from bring able to file. I then filed on PUA website led there by misleading document posted to my online account just before I was disconnected. I filde for all the week of February and two of March weeks on PUA website. When PUA failed to give any instruction or assistance I spent several days on phone again with Ohio Unemployment and was able to get operator on Saturday March 12 who lied and said she had restored functionality to my account. And to proceed ny claiming week on Sunday Mar 13. Functionality was not restored. I then called numerous times and was able to get thru of Saturday March 19. I was told functionality was restored and to claim week on Sunday March 20. I was unable to file was able to file for extended benefits finally after filling three times I was able to claim the week of March 21-25. The operator assisted me with claiming the last week of January, all weeks of February and two in March. I was then deposited the money a couple of weeks later. Then unemployment stole it back from me. And this included a 400 federal supplement check for each week. The is 300 plus 400 times six weeks. I thought this could be resolved when they realized their error.. But all I got was repeated stone walling and various different tactics that they used to beat me out of my benefits for those weeks. They set up several sham hearings where they tried to make this about me. This was clearly orchestrated to beat me out of my money.

Odjfs is stating that i worked after the date i submitted my claim which is false. I schedule a time for a call back they just forward my call and set another callback for a time when i am not available. They are using false info to block my benefits.

I Started a new job and they are scheduling a call back during working hours.

I filed for Ohio UI in November 2021 after being involuntarily medically separated from the federal government. The initial denial was based on lack of hours and income, which was impossible as my salary was $82k annual and I worked full time since 2004. In December I continued calling and was told they were waiting for employers response. In January my claim was inadvertently closed for not claiming weeks despite trying to claim and getting error messages. I called and claimed over the phone And provided screenshots of the errors when I attempted to file. In January I received a reversal of original decision but reversal also stated I was still denied for hours/ income and I resent the copies of my tax and pay statements. February 3 I was denied again based on separation for breaking policy, so I appealed it resending my SF8 and SF 50. Because of my current EEOC complaint with my former agency I believe UI is purposely delaying or denying my claim because they are also a government organization. I meet all requirements for UI and it should not take five months to determine a result. Before I file a civil rights claim, I would just like to resolve and approve my appeal. I have researched every law and regulation and have found zero basis in their denials. Now they just ignore my inquiries but meanwhile I continue claiming each week as directed. UI needs accountability. Communicating with them you go in circles. It is unprofessional how long it takes to resolve issues.

I have been trying to start my claim simce January 31 and I am having the same issues as others have posted.

I have sent w2, drivers license, utility bill, birth certificate, bank statement. They still denied my claim. The last time I was able to speak with someone they said it should have been approved and transfered me to the appeal dept. I had a scheduled call with them and I got an automated call that said the system was down. That I got a call that ask how I was satisfied with the result of the call . Niw I had to schedule another cal fir February 23, and I cant get anyone in the phone. Meanwhile i have not had any pay. This is just one issue of many that started with my initial cal on january 31 to someone whose phone didnt work and my claim not being started. It goes on and on

I have been trying resolve an issues with my unemployment benefits since June of 2021. and seems like I am getting bounced from person to person and no one has a solution to my issue.
