I have enjoyed this app for some time. I don't have WiFi at work and I read during my lunch and breaks. This app is great for this who don't have LTE on all the time and want keep copies of pages to show other while offline with the full functionality of the websites that they saved.

The best is being able to add pages to Offline Pages while at other computers. The bookmark java script puts the page into a queue for when you run the app again in a WiFi area and will update it's queue.

This application is poorly documented. Codium Labs did not respond to my inquiries for guidance or comments. Apparently it will not functionally mirror or mimic an mp3 page for the iPad, nor will it drill down to the links that are on each page and make those pages available offline. Contrast this app with something like HTTrack a free microsoft program that allows you to put your whole website on a flash drive and you will realize that this application is not good value for the price. Thumbs down.

I definitely LOVE the functionality (auto updating, etc), but was extremely disappointed to see that the app limits the user to 200 pages within any site. We have a need to make complete intranet safety sites (including MSDS pdfs) available offline at several business locations. Limiting to the first 200 docs makes this app unfortunately a non-option... Give users the ability to set that parameter and this app has a good size market on its hands remotely managing MSDS documentation for multi-location businesses.

I hesitated to buy this because of the bad reviews for the previous versions, but if there were bugs it seems they have been fixed.

I needed to download an entire website containing the documentation of an open-source library, and the application did this in the background while I was surfing, without a glitch. I simply had to point it to the right URL, to specify that I wanted the entire site downloaded, and to click on the download button. I am now able to access the entire site offline.

A little pricey but works great for me.

I was very impressed by the promptness and professionalism of the developer, who helped me troubleshoot a difficulty I was having getting embedded music files to download properly. He not only gave me detailed directions, but actually tested them on the site that I was having trouble with. Thanks to this help, this app will be able to do exactly what I need it to do: display my organization's webpage for presentations at various events without having to worry about wifi. One star off for the design not being intuitive enough to troubleshoot myself.

Offline pages review:

It's just like pocket, but saves video also. I download a lot of lectures and listen to it while I am driving. This app is an investment - put time in to understand it, and it will give you back a lot more. Great for knowledge seekers.

However, there is still no password protection option for getting into the app. Some stuff that I download are private, and I need to keep it that way. I spoke to the developers a couple of months ago and they said this feature is coming, but it has not been implemented in the recent update.

This app is great for any academic or researcher. I saved a whole site yesterday, which I found its domain expired this morning, great! Would expect that a search feature be added in order to locate content on the web fast; also a start page and the ability to share with iTunes. I may need to archive my sites on a desktop, so please add file sharing features. Otherwise, this app is the best I've come across for offline browsing. Btw, please add a disclaimer about downloading sites: some webmasters/mistresses frown on this behavior: this can run as an alert the first time the app is launched.

I found Offline Pro this week. I purchased an iPad4 without cellular as I'm surrounded by wi-fi and didn't want to spend the extra $150 for the configuration and then monthly charges.

I'm on the bus for an hour/day and used the time for knitting. Now I find myself in a growth spurt, learning jQuery and Drupal, Php, CSs, etc. A lot of my training videos download to offline, so I went looking for offline website software too.

I put out the $9.99 based on reviews, I never buy apps. I was. NOT disappointed. The developer was very responsive to my questions, and is continuing to improve this app.

That verb, works, is so impactful - I can’t even tell you, but I’ll try. Because it works so well, your app helps me work faster and more efficiently - the holy grail for every business traveler!

I consume large amounts of web content as part of my job and when I'm traveling your app is perfect!

The first thing I do when I get up (even before breakfast!) is I grab my iPad and surf like crazy using offline pages to download as much content from around the internet as possible. I know its there, so whether I have in-flight internet or not I’m covered; peace of mind - another thing we business travelers crave.

I use it all the
1. With safari locate the web page you wish to save
2. Hold your stylus down on the address bar until the words appear "select all" shows...choose select all
3. Then select "copy"
4. Go to app "off line pages"
5. On the address bar if anything appears "x" it out
6. Then press your stylus on the address bar until the word "paste" appears
7. Select paste
8. The web address now appears of your page that you wish to save
9. On the keyboard press the key "go"
10. Wait till web page loads
11. Then to the right of the address bar select "save web page icon"
12. After web page is saved
13. View saved web page by pressing "icon" to the left of addreess bar
14. Have fun and a good day!

This is a revised review, definitely works as they say and super useful to have my portfolio website offline. I did experience some issues with the embedded video, but they worked hard to get it functioning for me. (Evidently after my first email, they weren’t getting my follow up messages, and I had to start a new string for them to receive them.)

Important note on embedded video: if YouTube believes that you are using any copyrighted content such as music, they will block it from being able to be download offline. My case was a bit ambiguous, but I needed things to work right away, and rather than go down a rabbit hole of fighting it, I swapped some music out with YouTube’s copyright free music. Then everything downloaded fine to Offline Pages.

It's really useful app for users with wifi only version. You can save the recipe webpage and open it when you went to shopping, save the entire blog for subway ride reading (tip; save the blog like stuffwhitepeoplelike or postasecret- both awesome example for this app). However, the price tag is a bit concern. Although it's a universal app, which means you can use it on your iPhone too, but I don't see many people like to use this app on 3G abled devices..(it doesn't save a video or audio contents and if it did, it would be just perfect app ever). And there's other alternative free app for simple offline webpage reading, like atom web browser or terra. So the question is, do you really want to pay 10$ for automatic updating feature for only the iPad? It's your call.

Don't be fooled by this application.

If you want to save a single page, or a page and a single link under that page, then this app is ok. For that functionality it's way over priced.

If you're like me and want to save pages at your current location and content that are 3 levels (or links) deeper, this app does not deliver. In my situation I need to be able to save Topic->Topics->Content. The only way to get that is to use the "save entire web site" option. And most of the time that option still doesn't grab the content that I need, which was shocking the first time I tried it. The only way to ensure I have the content is to navigate to that area and save. Which defeats the purpose of me paying for this app in the first place. Too much effort required to make this app useful to serious users.

The "all or nothing" feel plus the lack of granularity makes this app a lemon. Great idea, but just a bad implementation. The saved pages are great and look superb. If the granularity was added, plus more control and options, I'd have no problem paying 19.99 for this app.

Not worth the $10. Two of the most important features I was looking for were the ability to download multiple webpages or "whole websites" at one time. This was actually a fully functioning application on the first rocket ebook that I purchased in the late 1990's, an application that i hoped would be duplicated by some other program. Unfortunately, despite the claims of the authors, i am still waiting their attempt to pull it off is still a work in progress. Although it worked successfully with one website/ topic I tried to download, it was a total washout on numerous other attempts. What is also interesting is that the authors don't tell you that when you try to use the function in the program a warning will be displayed about how the function may cause problems and may not work...would have been nice to put that up front in their claims. I could've saved my money.

Also, the " tags" are a complete waste of time as a cataloging function other than at the most simplistic level. Sure would be nice to be able to sort those downloaded items into some meaningful categories, but maybe that, too, will come at some future date

I did not listen to other reviewers and now I am full of regret. Be warned: Do not waste your money on this app. It will download anything but the links that you actually need with no way to limit the app to specifically what you actually want. Regular expression matching for power users for such an overpriced app was kind of expected, but, heh, I was too naïve. The app wants to guess it all for you and does a horrible job at it, in my personal experience.

The app does not save the page that was opened previously before closing the app, which makes it pointless for reading books/multi page content as you have to constantly remember how to get to the place you were reading last time. Seriously? Not even bookmarks? Is this real life?

Overall, it would have been much easier for me to simply copy-paste the content by hand to a PDF on a desktop computer and read it with one of the available PDF readers, at least they can save where I was reading last. Not to mention the frustration of having to re-download the content I am trying to save if the internet cuts off, source website times out, or if user accidentally closes the app.

Please, if you value your time and money do not waste it on this app unless need it for reading simple web pages, or save single pages individually, but then why would you get this pro version when there are cheaper versions of this app that do that functionality?

What a waste of $10. Developers put so much effort and yet forgot the simple features that make this app a deal breaker.

This app is very handy for downloading pages for offline viewing. It does a great job, is easy to use & it seems pretty fast. I gave only it 4 stars because I think some important features are missing (especially since the app is so pricey), namely: there is no ability to search through downloaded pages, there is no list of downloaded pages (only the first page is indicated), you cannot resume if interrupted (a big bummer if the device is interrupted on page 1999 of a 2000 page site & you have to start over!), app doesn't tell you if it was interrupted or not (to be sure it gets everything, it is necessary to download twice and compare the number of files), there is no auto-complete in the URL field for previously visited pages (which can mean a lot of extra typing!). Also, there is a problem with links that go to bookmarks if those bookmarks are on another page. For example, if a page contains a link to a bookmark called 'here', the link will work ONLY if the bookmark is on the same page (e.g. sample.com/samepage.htm#here). It will NOT work if the bookmark is on another page (e.g. sample.com/anotherpage.htm#here). One site in particular that I visit has links to bookmarks on other pages so this app is virtually useless for many parts of this site. It's not that the pages don't download (they do), but the bookmarks don't work. For example, in the above illustration, 'anotherpage.htm' is correctly downloaded, but the links to it from 'samepage.htm' don't work. Instead you get an offline error message even though sample.com/anotherpage.htm was correctly downloaded. Hopefully above will be added/fixed - then would be 5 stars.

I don’t know if I’ve bought all the offline browsers out there, but I’ve tried everything I could find. Most of them are buggy and/or they lack features that are in the must-have category. Offline pages has it all and it just plain works. My search is over. Not only can you download, say, your favorite website and tell it to download however may links down you want (up to 4), but you can also tell it whether to stay within that domain or subdomain, how many links to download max (up to 1000), and loads of other details. You can even choose whether to download video content. How cool is that? Using Offline Pages, I can easily download my favorite Youtube videos to show folks when I’m stuck on a plane! And it does all this super-easy. No need to read a manual.
My favorite feature is how it handles forums. Before jumping on an International flight, I used to go to my favorite forums and then manually load and save all the threads I wanted to read on the plane, using a different app. Now that I’ve got Offline Pages, that process is way easier. I can grab the whole forum or click on individual threads for downloading. But here’s the cool part: if you tell it to only download one link down, but the thread has, say, 20 pages, it’s smart enough to grab every page from that thread. The same goes if you want to download a single thread but that thread extends into other pages. It grabs all the pages to that thread, knowing that you wanted more than just the first page. And it does all that automatically.
Another feature I love is the “Save Link to Inbox” feature, which you can bring up by clicking on any link while browsing. If you do that, it adds the link to your inbox (a folder in the app, where all your new downloads show up), for future downloading. If you’re hooked up to the internet, it will grab it right away. If you’re not, then it downloads it the next time you’ve opened the app while connected to the ‘net. This is very useful as I’ll be on a plane reading stored content offline and they’ll be some further info I want on some of the links. Using this feature, I can make one or two clicks and very easily set up those pages to be grabbed later.
There are also tons of details that makes me think this software was designed by Apple’s design folks. For example, if you’ve copied a website from Safari or Chrome and you want to open it in Offline Pages to download so that you can have it offline, as soon as you open the app, it recognizes that you have a website in your clipboard and it asks if you’d like to download it. While not a huge time savor, it does save you from going to the address bar and then pasting it in. Is that feature really necessary? Nope. Is it evidence of a quality product? You bet.

The browser built into the app is quite good. I catch myself using it now periodically instead of Chrome. Is it better? No. Is it almost as good? Yup.

I bought the Pro version (this one), so I can’t say which features might be missing if you get the cheaper version. But trust me, this is worth every penny. And if you’ve been frustrated with other offline browsers, your search is over. Offline Pages ROCKS!

I've been going around in circles trying to unearth relevant info on basic mechanics of the thing and boy, it's like they are trying to hide it.

No matter what settings I tried, the app would not download the embedded image galleries on my website, making it useless for me... Very disappointed.

that have search results in them..ended up with blank pages which is really the only reason I bought this program for my iPad. Can't believe I wasted $10! :/

I made ten or more saves and I can't even open a page with some pictures. As soon as I open it, it blinks and takes me to home screen. Totally not worth $9.99.

Didn't work for me. I couldn't figure out how to load entire website, only individual pages. No help files or directions, no way to contact developer for support or refund.

It not download a lot of of jquery content on websites, embbed imagens and Google maps embbed scripts are not downloaded too... For almost 10 U$ you guys need fix it pleaseee

Tried to capture a portion of a site, it would only save one page. Tried all options. Sent email they guarantee 12 hour turnaround for an answer. Still haven't heard back. Failed.

You're supposed to be able to read blogs offline, but it doesn't actually save the article links very well. Frustrating. Crashes all the time now. Browser is slow and doesn't render some pages properly.

App only downloads websites when it's running in the foreground. I guess i could leave it running overnight to download websites while i sleep - oh wait, that won't work because it keeps crashing every minute. FAIL.

If you are looking for an app to save literally an ENTIRE website, this is not for you! If you just want to save ONE page then it is but you might as well take a screen picture (just hold home button and sleep button at the same time)

I bought the pro version as I need to watch my workout videos offline. It did not work for me as the video is not working. I sent an email to the developer and I did not receive any reply since 3 days. Cool staff, however it did not work.

Bought this for work to show off our site at a trade show. Long story short, it doesn't work. I Tried various downloads on different settings. A popped up kept reminding me I was 'offline,' and therefore wouldn't show me the pages I supposedly downloaded.

The app is slow takes forever to download entire web sites I mean obviously people got this to grab huge blogs and news sites. Doesn't auto update unless you remember to launch the app every morning. Needs serious improvements for 10.00 I'd much prefer instagram

The app crashes frequently. I am truly surprised that Apple would even approve this app in the App Store.

It failed to live up to any of its advertised feature claims. It would not save even the simplest of complete websites (simple page turners). I was evaluating this app for my employer to support our outside customer support team.

I got the app for the use of one website. It didn't work. I contacted customer support for help. Doing it through the app as recommended didn't work. I emailed them directly. The email don't go through. As of right now, the app is completely useless. I'll change my review IF they ever contact me but I'm not sure how they could because their email address is dead.

Don't expect all web sites to copy completely or perfectly. Some sites are beginning to charge for content, others will require login. Those won't work.

This is for your average site.

Be careful not to sync all pages of a web site since the can take long to download, consume your storage space and most probably you will not read all links. Use smart links instead.

I was trying to backup educational videos to study on the road and app never downloaded anything... it's like fake... the download cloud icons there but DONT WORK AT ALL!
