I confirm exactly what *** said below. This review is for each and every NYC Motorcars, Bronx. These people are complete con-artist. They will treat you so nice until they stab you and raise your price up 10-15k on the display price. I drove there from western Jersey and NO CAR. I came back the next day where they then said the OTD price had changed from 20,900 to 29,000. The internet sales mgr (Branden) and Andy and Missian (mgr) at the Bronx all confirmed OTD of 20,900 2-3 times on thursday. they even took my credit card for a deposit for the OTD of 20,900. Then proceeded to tell me after all was done to show me the paperwork with $29,000. I went across the street to the ***. I have found that for NY on General Only deal with Franchises. they will loose their licences if they operate this way.

This was at The Bronx location. The salesmen tried to add unnecessary and exorbitant doc and prep fees ($995) to the price of the vehicle (a vehicle that was involved in a serious accident, which they were trying to sell at the national average price). When discussing the fine print of the ad found on ***, the dealer tried to reference the fine print of a DIFFERENT vehicle. The dealership claims to sell "certified pre-owned vehicles", which is misleading, because only manufacturer dealerships can do that (only an Audi dealership can sell Audi CPO cars). In addition, to they wanted to charge me $1995 for a "pre-certification" 125pt inspection. This is ridiculous, as inspecting the vehicles they plan on selling to customers is part of the cost of doing business, and should already be baked into the price of the vehicle. The salesmen also tried to "claim" transparency by showing me how much the dealership paid the bank to receive the car by showing me a document that had nothing to do with a bank promissory note, but rather a printout from a random site where they advertise the vehicle. The company was acting deceptively from the very beginning.

I'm writing this complaint against NYC Motorcars (HEMPSTEAD LOCATION). On August 6, 2023, I visited their showroom in Hempstead NY after searching for the car I wanted to purchase and calling them to verify the price as advertised. Upon my arrival, I viewed the car, started it and went back inside with the salesman Sean to purchase it. Sean pulled up the...

I bought a 2017 BMW X3 from NYC Motorcars in Freeport. The following morning I called the service department of the company and complained about a faulty infotainment system. As it was a preexisting condition I thought repair would not be a problem. I was told to bring the car in for service. I brought the car in and was told the car needs a new radio. They told me they would order a new radio from BMW and install it. A week and a half later I was told they had trouble finding my radio and can I take a picture of my radio for them. I did. They called me a few days later telling me they needed me to bring the car in so they could get the numbers off the back of the radio so they could order the right radio. Fine. I brought the car in and they told me I needed a software update and sent me to a bmw car dealer for the software update. The dealer sent me back to NYC Motorcars. NYC Motorcars has had me come back numerous times and still the infotainment system does not work.

NYC Motorcars I purchased a car with this company that should have totaled no more than $19,500

I purchased a car with this company that should have totaled no more than $19,500. The car was listed on line for $12,000 however when we went into the business to purchase the car the fees associated with the car including a warranty came up to $19,500. However, when It came to start my monthly payments with the bank, as the car is financed, I was told the business requested $27,000 for the car which is way more than what we settled to.

This highlights NYC Motorcars's reputation as a trustworthy leader in their field. Customers can rely on NYC Motorcars's services, assured they're dealing with a highly reputable and fully legitimate company.

NYC Motorcars earns a trustworthiness rating of 93%

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.

It would suggest that the company has invested heavily in customer service resources, training, and infrastructure, as well as developed an effective complaint resolution process that prioritizes customer concerns.

NYC Motorcars has received positive review on our site. This is a good sign and indicates a safe and reliable experience for customers who choose to work with the company.

Nycmotorcarfreeport.com has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.

Nycmotorcarfreeport.com has been deemed safe to visit, as it is protected by a cloud-based cybersecurity solution that uses the Domain Name System (DNS) to help protect networks from online threats.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

  • You should not trust a website that appears to be parked, especially if you have already paid money to the website. A parked website may be a sign that the website owner is no longer actively maintaining or developing the site, and there is a risk that the site could be a scam.
  • Nycmotorcarfreeport.com has relatively low traffic compared to other websites, it could be due to a niche focus, but could also indicate a potential lack of traffic and popularity. The nycmotorcarfreeport.com may offer a niche product or service that is only of interest to a smaller audience.
  • NYC Motorcars protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.

NYC Motorcars Me and my uncle purchased a car on 06/28 for the amount of $21,796.06

Me and my uncle purchased a car on 06/28 for the amount of $21,796.06. We spend that whole day at the dealer. (NYC Mortorcars of Freeport.) Until at like 12:30am of the next day. (06/29) when they finally finished all the paper work and we could take the car home. We drove 4.8 mile home. That same day my uncle took the car to work. When stopped at a red light other drivers told my uncle to get out of the car. There was smoke coming from under the car. He got out and a minute after the car caught on fire. Car was totaled and insure company paid a portion of the car cash value. We spoke with NYC Motorcars managers and agreed to pay the remaining balance of the loan. It has been over two months and they haven't do anything about it. They basically sold us a broken car and put my uncle's life at risk. Now it seems like they won't do anything about it.

I went in to NYC Motors | Freeport to purchase a 2018 Audi Q5 that was listed for roughly $23k. The online ad stated an optional certified pre own insurance ranging up to $5k.When I arrive, I tell them that I am lookin to purchase the vehicle by paying in full and that I was interested in negotiating the price. They came back to me with $28k financing option or $32 cash option. I had no idea how it went from 23k to this. The certified insurance turned out to not be optional as well as many other fees. In any case, we agreed to a sales price and i purchased the vehicle regardless of the added $5k certified fee. This was on Friday Jul 30th. I purchased insurance that day as well. Upon signing, they realize that they do not have the title for the vehicle and tell me that I should be receiving the car by Tuesday Aug 3rd the latest. After not receiving 1 phone call from them all weekend, I gave them a call on Monday

NYC Motorcars On February 23 I purchased a 2016 Q50 Infinity

On February 23 I purchased a 2016 Q50 Infinity. Included with this purchase was en extend warranty costing $2960. This contract 120 / 100,000 with a company by the name of NIADA. They state that they never received the pay for the contract. I went to NYC motorcars about 5 months ago and sat with someone (didn't get name)who said they would take care of it. I now find out that they did nothing and went back in on June 14 and spoke with Kenny Parra Who took copies of my warranty, said he would get back to me. I've called several times, emailed several times and even had my mom call on my behalf. She was told that Mr C, a Manager would call back shortly and no return call. I paid almost $3,000 for this extended warranty and would like the money sent to the company it's supposed to go to so that it is in place should I need it. How awful it is that a supposedly reppreble company gives a customer, military vet such a hard time.

NYC Motorcars I recently purchased a vehicle last month, April 13th for around $25,000 total

I recently purchased a vehicle last month, April 13th for around $25,000 total. We notified and returned to the car lot approximately 10 minutes after leaving the lot because the check engine light came on. The salesmen and finance guy ran a test and told us it came on because of the gas cap not being on tight enough and then cleared the code. We then proceeded on our way and along some time on the road it came on again. I've emailed and inserted photos with the check engine light with the millage. It hasn't been driven past the limited 3,000 mile warranty and definitely not the 60 day limit. We had it tested again and had a code come back which is attached to the email as well. We now have it at Mercedes-Benz service center for repair. I have been reaching out without any resolution yet. They do not answer my calls anymore. I am in the process of obtaining legal counsel as they do not appear to want to resolve this issue when the cost is less than 1% of purchase price.

On June ,, I purchased a Honda Civic from Grand Automotive Planet Mitsubishi dealership, which is now named NYC Motors Planet located at ***. On July ***, I took the car back to the dealership to fix a maintenance issue, after I gave the car to them they told me they would call me and on July *, I texted one of the dealership employee named Denzel, telling him they didn't call me to pick up the car and I'm coming tomorrow between 9:50 am and 10:30 am. On July , at 10:40 a.m. they returned the car to me A year later I received a letter of August , from the village court and the letter stated that I have to pay $ 500 for two parking tickets including late charge because the car was parked in the neighborhood of the towing zone ,one ticket at 2:42 a.m. and the second at 6:00 a.m. on July ***. After contacting the dealership and going back and forth with them to make them pay, I requested a hearing because I was desperate to find help. During my hearing and explain the same story to the judge, so the judge took off the $300 of late charge so I ended up paying $200

Hello, my name is *** and I purchased a car on March *, and a "NIADA Warranty" was added to the sale for $1995 and was financed at the dealership. I tried calling for weeks (every week) to see if the NIADA warranty was added to my car. I called NIADA weekly to see and they told me my warranty was never sent in and it's been over a month. I also contacted my sales rep that said she could not do anything and for me to contact the office. Then I was told the office was closed until further notice. Then I was told to contact the manager, and the manager was, unfortunately, sick in the hospital and could not help me either. I called NIADA warranty again today 4/*/2020 and they said my warranty has still not been sent in. So I paid for a warranty I never got. I then called the person who started the business "NYC Motorcars of Freeport" and he told me that by law I can get a refund but he does not own the business anymore so I need to contact the business. I cannot contact anyone from the business and I have tried to many multiple times. What I want is to CANCEL my NIADA Warranty and get a REFUND back of the $1995.00 that was added to my bill along with the sales tax on the $1995.00 that was added to my finance bill on my *** Auto Loan that I got directly from the dealership. I would really appreciate it if you can send the refund check directly to ***. I do not want the warranty and do not need the warranty anymore. I don't even have it. So I choose not to get the warranty and be refunded the $1995.00 plus the tax that I was charged from adding the $1995.00 warranty to the total bill added to my Auto Loan financed at the dealership with *** ( the sales tax was added to the vehicle to the Auto Loan). This complaint will be resolved from me when I get refunded the $1995.00 for the NIADA Warranty I never got and the portion of sales tax I financed from the $1995.00 that was added to the Auto Loan from ***. Here is the Break Down of Price and information from my lawyer relative that helped me according to my bill of sale; Original Bill of Sale: Before Sales Tax Price Total with $1995.00 NIADA Warranty added = $24,182.00 Sales Tax = (8.94%) $2161.51 After Sales Tax (Financed amount) = $26,343.51 Break Down Of what my refund should be According to the bill of sale from the Dealership; Original Bill of Sale = $24,182.00 Minus the ($1995.00) NIADA Warranty = $22,187.00 NEW UPDATED BIL OF SALE WITHOUT NIADA WARRANTY PLUS ADJUSTED TAX FROM REMOVING THE NIADA WARRANTY; New Original Bill of Sale (Without NIADA Warranty) would be = $22,187.00 Sales Tax = (8.94%) $1983.52 TOTAL NEW Bill of Sale Financed without NIADA Warranty = $24,170.52 OLD Sales Tax With NIADA Warranty = $2161.51 MINUS NEW Sales Tax WITHOUT NIADA Warranty = $1,983.52 TOTAL REFUND of FINANCED SALES TAX FROM BILL OF SALE ADJUSTED WITHOUT NIADA WARRANTY = $177.99 REFUND of NIADA Warranty $1995.00 PLUS REFUND of SALES TAX ADDED FROM THE NIADA Warranty $177.99 TOTAL REFUND DUE TO ME = $2,172.99 With this break down; I should get a REFUND Total amount of $2,172.99 in CHECK form send directly to my Lein holder ***. Please send the REFUND check directly to *** so that I can continue paying *** Auto Loan. I was told by the person who opened this business that "BY LAW, I DO NOT NEED TO KEEP THIS WARRANTY AND BY LAW I COULD GET A REFUND". I will be checking up on this as much as possible until this is resolved. Please can you help me out? I don't want to cause any problems, I just want my refund for what I paid for that I never got and I don't want the NIADA Warranty anymore. I would really appreciate it.

NYC Motorcars On November ****, I went to NYC motorcars looking to potentially get a new car

On November ***, I went to NYC motorcars looking to potentially get a new car. I ended up leaving that night after being there having paid $412 towards a deposit in order to hold the car in case I decided to get the car because I stated that I would want to put down a large down payment towards the car but also did want to take a couple more days to decide upon whether I wanted the car too. I didn't end up purchasing the car from NYC motorcars and was told that I needed to come to the Freeport location to get my refund, so I went there to fill out a transaction reversal form and was told that my money should've been returned within a week. I never received it so then I decided to go there personally again and one of the managers told me that the woman that normally takes care of those things had gone on vacation, so he asked me to fill one out just in case, and I went on my way. A couple more weeks passed after that and I then decided to call up once more and wanted to speak to the manager directly since I've been dealing with this for quite some time, he recognized who I was right away and stated that I didn't need to come in, because he will handle it On November ***, I went to NYC motorcars looking to potentially get a new car. He asked me for some information in order to retrieve it and stated that I should be fine. I wasn't. Seeing that enough was enough, I decided to call the bank I use in order to have the charge reversed. The reason for me placing this complaint is due to that disputed credit being recharged on April ***,. The reason that was stated by my bank when I asked is that NYC motorcars state that it was a valid charge although it was explained by the salesperson and manager on duty that it was supposed to be a deposit for a car, a car that I never got from them. This money was taken from me at a time where it's not easy to go and make that money back, due to the coronavirus outbreak in new york, so its a terrible feeling knowing that this money was taken from me just cause the company decided to keep it.
