We have been foot and clothing wear Nike customers for 40+ years for our varied athletic activities, for ourselves and our son and daughter's athletics.

We are appalled that Nike would use Mr. Kaepernick in the context being presented. If a successful, notable athlete were desired, it would simply have been a MUCH better approach to use someone like Pat Tillman, wouldn't it? ...Especially when using the phrases of "Believe in something. Even it means losing everything!"...

You have made an egregious mistake for your company and brand, for attempting to edify a player who disrespects things America stands for... Shameful...

We and our athletic family will not purchase another Nike item, period. Marv, MSG, USAR(RET), and Karen Anderson. 2425 Forest Primeval Rd, St Germain, Wi.

I have been a loyal Nike consumer for many years. My husband and I, as well as our three children that are very active in sports. You have always selected successful athletes and are great role models for everyone. Your recent ad campaign has forced me to decide between your brand and my country. Since I am from a very large military family, that are PROUD to be Americans and have served this great country, I am writing to inform you that I will no longer shop your brand. Our sales may be a drop in your exceptionally large bucket, but true Americans will always put their country first.
In addition, I (and will request that everyone I know) will file a complaint with every retailer that carries your brand until they remove your disgraced product from their shelves.

I am very sad to hear about your decision to use someone who disrespects our flag, country, and service members to advertise your products. Nike has been a name we have known in our household for decades. Every time we started our first day of school, we wore our new school shoes, they were our Nikes. So many times as a teen we saved up to buy a new Nike gym bag or new sweatshirt. My brothers adored their Jordan's they asked for at Christmastime. Nike is no longer a brand we will be buying, or having around this house ever again. Into the garbage it all goes as of today. You care so little for those who have been faithful customers, and want to be controversial and trendy. Such a disappointment. The end of an era. Sad.

I am so disappointed that Colin Kaepernick is the face of Nike. He disrespects our country, insults the people of Cuba, and vilifies the brave men and women of our police department. He was a mediocre football player, and used the offensive gesture of kneeling before our flag to become relevant. A number of people can be fooled because they are uninformed. I guess you just proved the old saying, "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." Shame on you!

I wanted to let the decision makers at Nike know how disappointed I am in their decision to promote an individual that has complete disregard for this great country. I am a Marine veteran with two combat deployments that is absolutely disgusted that Nike has condoned and supports Kaepernicks behavior. I also wanted to share that I will no longer be purchasing and will discourage anyone that I can to reframe from buying any Nike products in the future.

As a historical consumer of Nike products, I wanted Nike's leadership to know that I will no longer purchase Nike products. I feel very strongly that a founding principle of our Nation is that everyone has a right to state their opinion and be heard and that right should be protected and available to every citizen without regard to their race, religion, or any other feature.

I disagree with Colin's approach to protest but respect his right to excersie his right. I am exceeding my right to no longer economically support Nike and as a shareholder stewards, you should be aware of that decision

I see several people protesting Nike because of Colin. I know all of them are white. I think that he has a right not to kneel. I do not see no one protesting the confederate flag. I guess it easy for them to call out Colin. Remember it was the blacks that was slaves and owned by Whites. America still have a long way to go. I was a nurse for over 40 years and you would be surprised how many of the old white people would let the white CNA walk out the room and ask me the RN to empty the bed pan. This is still not the land of the free for Blacks. So, I would like to tell all of you whites that are so upset about some darn shoes, how come you were not upset when Emmet Teal an innocent teenager was murdered because an old lying white woman lied an said he wa whistled at her How come you were not upset when Dr. King was murdered for no reason at all. How come you were not upset when Evers was murdered in Jackson. I bet you were never awakened in the middle of the night like I was with a huge cross burning in your yard. Get over it America suppose to be the land of the free.

I am extremely upset with your choice of Kaepernick to represent Nike shoes. I am a loyalist and I have supported many different brands for at least the last 25 years. Nike used to be one of those. I will no longer be purchasing your shoes . There are many other shoe brands out there. It hurts for me to do this. I have always liked your sneakers. This has turned political. Football was made to be a relaxing way for many people to enjoy a sport. Kaepernick picked the wrong platform to get his point across. Thank you for your time.

Nike you have made a horrible choice in the football player Colin for one of your representatives, a disrespectful Rebel who will not show respect to our country I have seven grandchildren neither I or any other parents will ever buy Nike products for them even though we used to, and we will tell our friends why we are not buying products from Nike anymore, very sad day when you can't pick someone honorable

Thank you for pushing your political agenda by appointing a coward to represent your company. Coward? Let him serve in any capacity (Police, Fire, Military) first, then see if the knee makes sense. The only thing he is qualified to represent is kneepads.

I will not be buying any of your products for my family until Colin Kaepernick is removed from your advertising. Im making my stand. I really like Nike products. I have friends who work at Nike and i went to school with Phil's son Matt. Many Americans have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Im not saying you cant protest but good grief the Flag and anthem should bring us together not tear us apart.

I am utterly disgusted and offended that Nike would use such a dishonorable character, as Colin Kaepernick, to be any type of a reputable or inspirational figure in any shape, way or form. Thank God we do live in a country that allows freedom and free choice to all of our inhabitants. To blatantly advertise this man as some sort of hero whose overcome such hardships to get where he is today is a total joke and a slap in the face to every member of our Armed Services. THEY are the true heroes, and a source of pride and inspiration to our country, and who should be honored for their sacrifices and duty. What sacrifice has he made?! He's an over-privileged, over-indulged millionaire! There's no sacrifice or honor in that! Myself and my family will be boycotting your company and products. I will no longer support such a selfish and misguided company.

Of course, since you are in sports, you understand Kaepanick has limited football skills, have you watched his footwork? STAY OUT OF POLITICS! What hypocrites. You pay little girls almost nothing--what does that say about your social justice. You are a disgusting company in so many ways. Me and my family (and we are quite large) will NOT purchase any of your merchandise. Again, STAY OUR OF POLITICS. I have more to say, but I will not, I will remain civil. If only Nike was. The Category selection is absolutely innate.

My two brothers and our children have bought Nike products for years, however because of your support on Colin Kaepernick, we will no longer be purchasing Nike products. Your support of someone who does not stand for the National Anthem is UNAMERICAN. Some of my family fought and died for this country. They fought for and died this countries freedoms of which Colin is abusing this privilege and showing disrespect for this country. How can a company like Nike support someone who disrespects his own country.

Dear Mr. Mark Parker,

I realize that you have given much thought to your new campaign featuring Colin Kaepernick as your new poster child, a person who disrespects the American Flag, refuses to honor the Star Spangled Banner by not standing when it is played, and mockingly wearing socks depicting Law Enforcement Officers as pigs. Because of your decision to support him, I will stop buying Nike products. I have bought your products for years, but I know that you knew there would be customers like me that would stop buying your product because of your stance, and yet, you chose to willingly write us all off. If you choose to reverse your decision, I will gladly jump back onboard because we all make mistakes. But if not, I'm sure that the other shoe companies will appreciate my business.

The use of Colin Kaepernik in Nike's adds is insulting to servicemen who have served, been injured and died serving their country and proudly upholding our flag. My two brothers and myself all served in the Vietnam War and my father was a WW2 hero defending our flag. I will never buy another pair of nike's shoes or sports attire. My family and relatives will not as well as friends I have talked with. Addidas will be my next option and many others I have talked to as well. There are many ways to protest and have one's voice heard but disrespecting our flag is not one. Shame on Nike.

Everyone has a right to protest but I find it dishonorable to do so during our national anthem. The flag has no agenda and does not side one way or the other in politics. It simply represents our country and those who have fallen to protect us and our rights. I believe Mr. Karpenick disrespects our country by kneeling and I am ashamed to have ever owned a Nike product.

I am totally disgusted that you would use that entitled individual to represent your product. He has not overcome ANYTHING! He started kneeling because he was on the verge of getting cut from the team! He only was seeking media attention and you have played right into his hands. I will NEVER buy another Nike product for myself or my family if this is the type of person you want to represent you!

I am a US Navy veteran and stand proudly for the anthem. You have the right to do whatever you want, to elevate someone who never served on minute in my shoes (and the are not Nike), as you live in the greatest country on earth that have been blessed by the blood of my brothers and sisters in arms. Nike, I have always used your products in the past but no more! I will burn everything and never again chose to purchase a Nike product, due to your company using Kaepernick as the "Face of Your Product." Of all the heroic/great people in the world that could have represented Nike, you have chosen someone who disrespects our anthem. You show disrespect for the courageous men and women of our country, who have sacrificed and defended this man's right, to show such disrespect! I am appalled, as a mother of two son's in the Army, who have sacrificed not only their time away from their families but also their physical health. Shame on you Nike! I will be shouting loud and long discouraging others to also boycott your products!
