I have been waiting for a month for my unemployment benefits. I requested a debit card for payment. I finally called after three weeks and was told to contact the company the issues the cards, a contractor with the state of New Mexico. When I called, I was told that the card was still in transit since the beginning of August. When I asked how to ask how to expedite it I was told it would cost more than $12 and would be deducted from my benefits. I said I was not willing to pay for that because this is not my problem. My address name and Social Security number have all been verified. When I call back today. I am told that the card was canceled and there was no card issued to me. I am very frustrated. I am the one without income yet. I am being told I have to pay to expedite my card? Now I have to wait two weeks? This is utterly ridiculous!
Desired outcome: Expedite debit card for unemployment benefits
