Absolutely disgusted with the night staff at Linksfield, my father had major surgery on Wednesday 15th April and is still there due to the nature of the operation. However my dad was reluctant to tell us how awful the night staff have been, and how the past few nights have been dreadful! I will be laying a complaint as will the other patients in his ward as well. They have all alerted their loved ones as well as their doctors/surgeons of how disgusting they have been treated. Thankfully one of the patients is related to Mr Adrian Gore who heads up Discovery who will be alerted to this treatment of patients, most of whom are discovery patients. My dad is fluent in Sotho and so understands what the nurses say to each other and they commented on how these patients think they are in a hotel and that they must do eveything they want! Well these nurses are there to do a job and these patients have just come out of ICU! My dad is on a clear fluid diet due to the severity of his operation, he is constant pain! Remember these patients didnt just decide to hve their operations now, they had no choice as it is for the benefit of their own health to have the ops now! We are in the middle of a pandemic which only adds to the stress of the patients and their families. I will be taking this further as this is an absolute disgrace to our medical fraternity!
