National Football League [NFL] political ads during super bowl

I wrote a letter approximately 2 weeks ago regarding airing political ads during the SuperBowl. I have received no response from 345 Park Avenue. As of Monday night, it sounds like Mike Bloomberg is still planning on running his ad.

I would like to have been able to enjoy the SuperBowl without having the current political climate introduced. The day should just be given to enjoying sports. And the commercials that are NOT political. And the Half-time.

Letting you know that I am very disappointed.

The Superbowl is over for this year 2020. Where are the commercials commemorating and honoring our law enforcement. What about a commercial mentioning Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley, the man who executed two NYPD officers having their lunch. Let's talk about their safety from such cold blooded assasins. But no...only a commercial about Corey Jones. The commercial never mentions why the police officer approached him in the first place. All the NFL is promote hatred.

National Football League [NFL] inspire change commercial

The NFL is a sports organization and should stick to playing sports and not politics. This commercial implies that all police officers are bad. That's not true. And it doesn't tell that justice was served in this case and that officer was convicted. Where are the commercials that support our law enforcement and military? Where are the commercials that support the injustice that's done to them over and over again on a daily basis. Not just one instance, but hundreds, thousands of times our sons, daughters, spouses and siblings that are law enforcement are disrespected, ambushed, injured and killed... why aren't you talking about THAT social injustice? Since the NFL has become a mouth piece and supporter for the likes of Kaepernick and his disrespect for this country and our law enforcement, I have not watched a single football game. And now with this commercial designed to make it even more dangerous for our law enforcement to do their jobs, I will continue to boycott the NFL and I will encourage others to do the same.

National Football League [NFL] nfl anti-police “ad” prior to kansas city & titans game! this ad was very inflammatory!

What was the rest of the story about the cousin of a former NFL football player being shot by an off duty police officer near the cousin's broken down car? Was the police officer exonerated or charged with a manslaughter or murder charge? Did the cousin have any outstanding warrants for his arrest? Did the cousin or his vehicle bear a similar description to a driver or vehicle wanted by the police for a serious crime? Did the cousin not respond to the officer's requests and instead exhibited aggressive action towards the police officer?

Lots of unanswered questions and this story had no good purpose being shown before a playoff game. Should instead be investigated by "60 Minutes" or some other news organization!

National Football League [NFL] nfc divisional round

The referee that called touchdown on aaron jones td run had an entire body in front of him when he made the call. The ball clearly didnt pass the goal line. The nfl referees are the worst. If that's not a bad call idk what is. Hes a damn dirt bag that wanted the lime light! The age of these referees need to be taken into consideration. Vision and reaction time depletes as we get older.

National Football League [NFL] referee ruling

In the divisional playoff game with the Seahawks vs Packers. There we a few calls that were bad for example, Arron Jones with a helmet TD, the Face Mask on Jadeveon Clowney face mask, and Jimmy Graham Getting the game winning 1st down with his Helmet as well. I don't know who makes the rules for the NFL but if he/she can review the game and potentially award us the game I would be so great full if you guys do something about it. Thank You.

National Football League [NFL] the nfl refs

What the refs just did again for the Green Bay Packers on national TV is a disgrace. I have been a fan for years. This year, I am done. Unless you do something about the quality of reffing you choose to employ, I will strive to spite your 'product' as much as I can. I will do all that is within my power to get people to stop supporting you. This is all your product is worth now.

The refs should all be fired. In the Texans v Chiefs divisional round game, the chiefs got multiple double scores (one was a triple, for 20 points along with the extra point) and the chiefs received the first and second half kickoffs. When the Texans were on offense, a DEFENSIVE pass interference was called, but the Texans moved back 20 yards! Just cancel the playoffs and hire new officials. The are absolutely horrible at their jobs.

You need to change the ridiculous rule that allows a team that is just lucky to win a damn coin toss to start ot to win the game if they score a td and other team doesn't get a chance to tie the score

Unfair and stupid. Change the damn rule. Giants lost few weeks ago to eagles wo a chance on offense n saints just list wild card game wo chance to tie td vikings scored. Unfair

National Football League [NFL] referees and reviews

I am not a buffalo fan, but the helmet to helmet calls throughout the lesson is less than what I just witnessed. I am watching the buffalo Texan game and from overtime xoi. Toss all calls would come from reviews. I call [censored]. Poor buffalo never gets the calls. This game should have not gone into overtime. Since when do we assume what a player is thinking. Buffalo should have have been awarded the touchdown on the punt, you HAVE to kneel the ball. [censored]!

I dont like the refereeing this season at all. At this point, let's just go to all reviews from new york. Buffalo and other teams all year long have had the short end of the stick. While qb"s like brady get every little call... Is it because of age? I think buffalo should have won the game out right, since when do we assume what a player wants to do, hence while rules are in play - you are suppose to kneel the ball when a punt or kick off is played. Also there was a helmet to helmet penalty that was ever reviewed in overtime - I heard the official say at coin toss that all plays are reviewed upstairs. Shame shame, if that game had brady playing it in - it would have been reviewed."a giants fan (believe it or not) that is soooo sick of the calls that have happened 2019

National Football League [NFL] referees

The refs this season have been terrible. So many teams have been losing games they should have won. They call what doesn't happen but never call what does happen. They need to get their eyes checked and the people up stairs need to get fired. They can't make a good call and obviously can't see things in slow motion. So many people couldn't stand this season of football and it's all because of the refs. They don't make the games fair like how they are paid to do and they don't keep people safe. This season was absolute crap and hope the next one is better.

National Football League [NFL] officiating

2019 will go down in the minds of fans around the league as the year that the officials, and their yes man in NY, decided the outcome of games rather than the teams and players. Thus the officials have ultimately decided which teams make the playoffs, and if this continues, (there is no reason to think it won't) which team wins the super bowl. (I didn't capitalize because this one is already tarnished.) If this kind of thing continues, fans will believe the final outcome has been decided before the first game of the season is played. When that happens, the NFL will be a thing of the past and some other thing or another league will take its place as always happens when an organization becomes complacent.

I agree totally. Ref calls are bad and even after booth reviews make decisions on there own wim. Give the fans an assurance in a 'game of inches" that a touch down has been made or 1st down made with a chip and lazer line down the goal line. Technology is here but NFL what's to control the outcome. it's all about the money. I'm already turning away from the NFL. It's no longer a game if it's fixed.

National Football League [NFL] honoring a monster

NFL,
How is it possible that the NFL would even let a monster such as Michael Vick continue to play much less condone and honor this inhumane waste who actually enjoyed torturing his dogs. "What Vick did was not simple dogfighting.

Picture your dog or your friends dog tossed to a couple of animals trained to fight for humans. Imagine that animal screaming as it is being ripped apart and having its throat ripped out. Imagine the person that tossed that helpless animal to the other animals just laughing as it occurs and later admitting he thought it was funny. That person who tossed the animals to the others is Michael Vick.

Imagine taking a bucket used to hold water, filling it with water, and holding a dogs head in it until it drowns while it stands on land.

Have you ever thought of the image of hanging a dog? He did that too. He also picked them up over his head before slamming them downward on concrete at his full force over and over.

Imagine the blunt force trauma that dog felt as it hit concrete over and over from not dying the first time.

He also attached jumper cables to their ears and tossed them in a pool to electrocute them.

This is not about dogfighting. That has become a separate issue. The acts in dogfighting are disgusting and reprehensible. What Vick did was to take it one step further and find a way to legitimately torture dogs like a horror movie.

He does NOT deserve to be honored."
The NFL has many more wonderful individuals that are using their platform for amazing causes. Google My Cause My Cleats. Google about Warrick Dunn. Google about so many others.

Vick does NOT deserve to be honored.
Please don't support him and give him a reward. Stop and think about all his victims that suffered so much.
Sincerely, Bonnie Wong-Harano

National Football League [NFL] flex scheduling

Why are you having the chiefs play at 1 and steelers and titans game at 4:25?This flex scheduling is unfair to steelers and raiders for seeding purposes. The Texans may quit or rest starters now thanks to this schedule if kc happens to beat chargers which is highly probable.Nfl is obligated to make the games as fair as possible not give titans special treatment. Please correct this problem by making all these games at same time in the name of fairness.thank you scott

National Football League [NFL] honouring michael vick

Dear sir/ madam,

I am writing as I was disgusted to learn you are honouring that piece of garbage Michael Vick. How can your organisation honour a man that enjoys torturing and murdering animals for fun? You may suggest he has paid for these crimes, personally I feel that he will never pay for them, you learn to live with the guilt and spend your days trying to make up for your actions, but the scales will never be balanced. Through honouring him, you are saying what he has done is okay. He needs to spend 'years' proving he has changed, before he will be worthy of receiving any award. Basically it comes across as you are giving him a consolation prize, to make up for the minute amount of suffering he went through in paying for his crimes. You should honour somebody worthy of this award. Not somebody that would watch a child or an animal drown and take a selfie of it happening, all whilst laughing, to enjoy again at a later date. Shame on your organisation for supporting him.

Regards
Miss Nunn

National Football League [NFL] michael vick is not a role model!

Shame on the NFL for honoring Michael Vick as a Pro Bowl captain, despite the petition with over 500, 000 signatures imploring against it. Pro Bowl captains historically have been outstanding athletes and role models. Michael Vick is neither. It is unbelievable that Commissioner Goodell thinks Vick "has paid a heavy price." His prison sentence was woefully inadequate for the torture he levied against helpless animals. His participation in the crimes is well documented. Even if Goodell thinks justice has been served, his past behavior was reprehensible. Michael Vick is not a hero. He's not a role model, and he has no place in the spotlight today. I implore the NFL to listen to its fans and supporters and reverse this decision immediately.

National Football League [NFL] lack of fundamentals

I've watched the greatest game on earth for 50 years. I understand time brings about a change, rules, athletes, game approach. The list goes on and on. I also am aware of players safety and the league needs to protect its players, but! What im witnessing is a total lack of fundamentals, hey, maybe this isnt a league issue, maybe its no big deal, but! I have to mention this if nobody else will (if they haven't already) what has happened to the art of tackling! Isn't it still tackle football? Im not talking about jack tatum like hits. Im talking about fundamental hitting and wrapping, do they practice this technique anymore? Or is it a thing of the past? Arm tackling oh my god, grabbing jerseys? Attempting to tackle derrick henry at chest level? Can we please get back to the basics... Please!

PI'S have gotten outta hand, Pi's have taken DB's outta the game. I dont know if they're afraid to tackle or they just dont know how to. Lowering the head is a natural occurence on both sides of the ball, that rule sucks. I understand removing the spearing part of it, but the refs are calling penalties on mostly good fundamental football, they're eliminating the physical part of football from the game which puts limits on player output, explain to me what a defenseless player is? everybody's defenseless if you dont keep your head on a swivel. These ticky tack calls have taken away from the game. I wish the Refs would just let them play. Too many restrictions, too many calls deciding games. It sad

Update by Darrell C. Davis

The game isnt fun to watch anymore. Defenses look like props. They are on the field to look like the part. They cant tackle and when they do ( which is far and in between) they get penalized. All the passing and receiving yards are null and void as far as Im concerned because defenses are limited. I saw this coming when they limited the bump and run to 5 yards, 5 punk yards. The game is weak, not fun to watch like back in the day. Too many flaws fundamentally, too many PI's, too many flags for good tackling, you betta not even breathe on the Qb. Its not a physical game anymore, its a speed game without physical integrity. Its sad.

National Football League [NFL] nfl pro bowl team naming michael vick as a team captain

As an NFL team owner - I am a shareholder of the Green Bay Packers - I am disgusted that the NFL could not only allow a federal criminal like MIchael VIck to be named to the Pro Bowl, but submit him as a team captain. My family and I have spent upwards of $100, 000 attending Packers games, and we will always love and support our team.

But supporting the NFL as a whole now goes against everything we hold dear and moral, everything we have taught our children aboutn the human condition and basic decency.

Your viewership sunk during and after the kneelers protesting during the National Anthem. And it will continue to sink when you not only allow someone such as Vick to be presented on the Pro Bowl team, but you condone and exalt him as a model to young people. He's no model. He's not reformed. His family is still very active in dog fighting.

You embarrass us all with this very poor choice.

National Football League [NFL] michael vick and his selection as pro bowl captain

As a longtime fan of the NFL I am ashamed to even call myself a fan. The outrage that is felt with Michael Vick as a Pro Bowl Captain is beyond description. This is an outrage to the public and all the animals that suffered at his hand, without remorse for his actions. This complaint will only be resolved by his removal. The betrayal felt by all animal activists and pet lovers is astonishing. The NFL should consider selecting someone other than a convicted dog fighter. Choose someone who is doing good things for kids, families, or anything other than someone who only brought shame upon himself. Society does not celebrate murderers, or those who have abused and maimed the helpless, and neither should the NFL.
The NFL's selection of Michael Vick should lead to an adjustment to some moral compasses of those who are in charge of nominations.

National Football League [NFL] new england patriots

Hello,

This will most likely go unread or discarded but I feel I owe it to all the other NFL teams out there besides the New England Patriots and their latest scandal. Their recent allocations are now public. What protocol are you going to take, just stick them with another fine or take away one of their draft pics? Why don't you make a statement and stop turning your head. It's laid out in the NFL rules that video taping is prohibited. The Patriots did this with the Jets.

The "Game Operations Manual" states that "no video recording devices of any kind are permitted to be in use in the coaches' booth, on the field, or in the locker room during the game." The manual states that "all video shooting locations must be enclosed on all sides with a roof overhead." NFL security officials confiscated a camera and videotape from a New England video assistant on the Patriots' sideline when it was suspected he was recording the Jets' defensive signals. Taping any signals is prohibited.

I hope you make the right choice and be more disciplined.

A concerned dedicated NFL fan.
