Complete scam! Classic bait and switch.

I called National flooFloor Direct to get an estimate for my carpet. Sales person Mike brought nice, thick, plush carpet samples to my house. He was really pushy and wouldnt leave our house for 3 hours, when I told him price is too high and my husband ask him to leave, he called his boss and got us really good deal, he dropped price from $12000 to $7000. I asked him why price suddenly changed? He said his boss agreed to lower price. Now I know why. They simply decided to install cheaper carpet hoping that we are not going to notice quality of the carpet.

After signing a contract and getting the full payment of $7200, the national floors direct delivered cheap carpet one can get at Lowe's or Home depot for less than a dollar. After I refused to get it installed, they threatened me I woul pay even more, despite getting nothing.

I actually got a piece of their carpet from the installers and matched it today with lowest grade carpet, which Lowe's has in the actually got a piece of their carpet and matched it today with lowest grade carpet, which Lowe's has in the rolls on the wall.

Here I am out $7200 and no carpet. I wish I have done more research when Mike told me that I need to pay deposit $2400 with personal check and $4800 needs to be paid 72 hours prior instalation or they not going to install carpet. Company do not accept credit cards, they know they commiting fraud by showing you completely different product. .And yes, name under nice sample is going to be same as cheap carpet they are going to deliver to your house.

I asked customer service if I can see an original samples, which Mike brought to my house.

Alex, who is a team leader or manager replied- No,

they are really busy going to another appointments.

We asked if we can see carpet in the warehouse, rhey replied that they dont have one in PA or NJ.

Today I've researched this company and found hundreds of people, who had bad products or bad service from this company. Owner of the company operated under different name and was forced to close 6 stores in NJ in 2006 under name of Floor Superstor because of consumers wrre mislead by false promises and denied refunds.I don't understand how company can operate in US in several states, lying to the people and basically stealing their money...Company is claiming that they have lifetime warranty on their carpet, after reading several complaints, I learned that National floors direct doesn't honor warranty and carpet doesn't last more than 2 years.

Claimed loss: $7200

Desired outcome: Refund
