We purchased a Modpool and while we love the concept of the pool, our experience with the company regarding a warranty issue has been extremely frustrating.
We currently have a rust issue developing near one of the pool windows. We do not consider this simply cosmetic because of its location and our concern that it could worsen or potentially become a structural issue if it is left untreated.
We contacted Modpools and were originally told that a repair crew would be on the East Coast during the second week of September 2026. Based on that information, we expected our issue to be addressed at that time. That did not happen.
Since then, communication has been extremely poor. We have made repeated phone calls that have gone unanswered and have not received return phone calls. It feels as though we have to continuously contact the company just to receive an email response. There has been no consistent follow-up or clear communication regarding when our repair will actually be completed.
We have now been told that the company will not come to address the issue until sometime in the spring. No specific date has been provided. Waiting several additional months for a rust issue on the actual pool structure is not an acceptable resolution, especially after we were previously told a crew would be in our area in September.
Our biggest concern is what happens if the rust spreads or the damage becomes worse while we are waiting. We should not be responsible for additional damage caused by the company’s decision to postpone the repair.
We are asking Modpools to provide a clear written repair plan, a reasonable estimated repair timeframe, and written confirmation that the entirety of this repair will be covered under our warranty, including any additional damage that develops as a result of this delay. If the repair truly cannot be completed until spring, we also believe our warranty should be extended accordingly.
For a product of this cost, customers should not have to repeatedly chase a company for answers regarding a warranty concern.
Desired outcome: Full warranty coverage for the rust repair and any additional damage caused by the delay, a specific repair timeframe, written confirmation of coverage, and an extension of our warranty if repairs are postponed until spring.
