Business Response On July 20, 2020, Mr. came and leased a new 2020 Toyota Camry XLE. The MSRP on said Camry was $37661.00 which we discounted to $32499.36 to achieve a payment agreeable to Mr.. That is a discount of just under $5200.00. When we have discounted a vehicle to that extent, we have to show actual cash value for the trade which was $8600.00. We could have manipulated the figures to show MSRP and trade and discount together which would be just under $13800.00 and there would be no issue, but we elected to disclose the actual numbers. It is frustrating to us to have Mr. upset when he received a tremendous deal on his new Camry. Mr. T our GSM has gone over the figures with Mr. to explain his deal. It is not possible to return Mr. trade as it has been liquidated. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This is the best excuse they can come up with? The documents I supplied back up my claim. I walked into Mike Erdman Toyota on 07/20/20 with a printout of the offer I had from Carvana to purchase my 2016 Veloster Turbo. The offer clearly states they would pay me $11987.00 for my car. I handed that paper to the salesperson. I asked him if they could match the offer and after having a manager look at my car, I was told YES! The numbers clearly show that the dealership gave me $8600.00 for my trade. They had me sign a document agreeing to receive $5600.00 cash back while applying the rest of my equity to the price of the car. The contract I signed says they used trade equity of $3,000.00. Missing is $3,387.00 The price of the car was NEVER discussed with me. What was discussed was a monthly payment and mileage allowed per year on the lease. The dealership CLEARLY used deceptive tackets . I did not determine the selling price of the car, they did. While I am not the sharpest person in the world I can assure you I would not give my 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo away for $8600.00 when I had a written offer of $11987.00. In fact, the car was still under the new car 5 year 60,000 mile warranty. After I realized the next day what the dealership had done, I contacted the both the salesperson and the GM. While the salesperson returned my call the GM Mr. T never responded to me. When I finally took off of work to go in on Friday 07/24/20 I asked Mr T to give me my car back to sell it to Carvana. I was told NO! The deal is the deal! I asked Mr T to speak to the owner and I was again told, NO! "The buck stops here." He said. My documents back up my story. The dealership owes me $3387.00. Please look at the documents I sent again. One of them shows a trade in Value of $10600. This dealership can't even get it's story straight. Thank You, *** Business Response We at Mike Erdman Toyota do not know what Carvana's business model is nor do we know what they truly pay for a vehicle when it comes time to write a check. We only know what we can trade a vehicle for. In Mr. case, we clearly displayed $3000.00 used in the deal and $5600.00 given back in a check. We were not hiding anything or trying to defraud Mr. in any way. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Since this complaint is falling on def ears and the dealership refuses to make good on the agreement they made with me I will pursue this through small claims court and let a judge decide. I have also filed a complaint with the Florida Attorney General.

Business Response On June 12, 2020 Mr. contacted us on a pre-owned vehicle email back and forth 3 times and made offer and only answered again on July 22, 2020 to ask us not to contact him. We show no further contacts but today October 9, 2020 we deleted his profile completely. Consumer Response To whom it may concern i just received an email from Mark Erdman Toyota 12:14 pm 10/28/20, so they did not care about my complaint? Business Response We had purged Mr. from our emails and also from our ad groups emails after his previous complaint. The email he received DID NOT come from us. We would not send anything out with the name MARK Erdman as that IS NOT even our name. If Mr. will forward us his email from 10/28, we will have our IT team research where this is coming from as we feel like it is possibly SPAM or a SCAM which is NOT from our organization. He can forward it to billkennedy@mikeerdmantoyota.com. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I continue to receive emails from them, i received an email from them again today 11/5/20. I think this is harassment and i want it to stop.

Business Response we refunded the deposit at the customer request we put the BMW aside for him as a sold car intended solely for him. We reached out a couple of times to no avail. after the salesperson got with him and he stated he no longer wanted the BMW we set aside for him we said we would refund the 1000 he gave us

Business Response On May 22, 2020 *** had an automatic transmission fluid exchange done on her 2012 Toyota Corolla with 185,510 miles on it. The fluid was extremely dirty and black. Ms. returned in July and felt that the fluid was not changed due to the off color of the fluid. Our service director went over the vehicle and showed her where the work was completed as stated. Seeing that Ms. is still unhappy, we would be happy to exchange the fluid again which will make the fluid lighter in color. Ms. has been contacted to call us to set up a time for us to do the work.
