Hello:

Long story short... I purchased a Midea chest freezer model HS-186CN(NZ) in Sears Plaza Las Americas, San Juan, PR.

When trying to register the product for the extended 10 year warranty, the Midea page would not allow me to. I contacted Midea, and I was todl that unfortunately, the unit that I purchased did not apply (even thought the unit has the 10-year warranty sticker and told as well to me by the Sears sales rep) because "Please be advised that the model HS-186CN(NZ) is not for the US or Canada."

Customer service rep sent links for registration, even EMEA links and NONE had a Puerto Rico link.

Sent the following info to Zach R. and Midea Customer service:

Hello Zach R.:

"Thanks for your email, but your product is sold in Puerto Rico, a US Territory located in the Caribbean (SE of Florida, USA), and does not appear in any of the "country" menus, nor in the US States options.

I just clicked on the link you sent, https://www.midea.com/gulf, and Puerto Rico does not appear either. We are in the Caribbean, not the Europe/Middel East (Gulf link; it even has the UAE/Arabic info, which is not our official language either). In any case, we should be in North America/South America section.

Can you put me in contact with someone who can help, as I am unable to find any type of access to Puerto Rico, USA, so I can register the product in order to obtain the 10-year warranty advertised in Sears?"

To date, even when asking for a customer service supervisor, I still havent had a response.

It i very unfortunate to purchase a product in a formal retail strore that represents it, which promises a warranty, and never being able to register the product because of a issue that has absolutely nothing to do with me.

Look forward to some kind of response.
