This company is terrible! Once they get paid, they don't care about anything else. They don't communicate well, they cancel appointments all the time, and they don't respond to emails. We signed loan papers in November, and we're still waiting for our panels as of 3/6/2023. We've sent so many emails and texts to the installer, but they keep canceling the installation. We even emailed the CEO and president, but we haven't heard back yet. We might have to get a lawyer involved. Don't use this company. It's the worst decision we've ever made.

I been dealin with this company for over a year now. I payin not only a consumer energy bill but a solar payment too for a system that still not been given permission to run. They never explained how it does run either. They don't like to return phone calls or answer my calls when I call them. I'm on Ssd and was told this would be a wonderful way to go green and not have a consumer bill and also rep the rewards of solar where I could get paid for the extra I produce. All lies. I don't recommend this company. I still have a solar payment, a consumers energy payment, and they still haven't got me set up to run. Over a years worth of time and am paying for something that's not even approved with consumers due to there doing. I'm so frustrated and they keep blaming everyone else and won't give me answers. Next step after this is to get a lawyer and sue them and get my money back and never have to deal with them again. Very poor customer service. Please people don't go with this company save yourself the headache and your hard earned money. All they want is to get you approved threw there finance dept and leave you hanging.

I recently worked with Michigan Solar and Roofing and it was awesome! They were super professional and knew what they were doing. They told me about all the different options and what each one would do. Once I picked one, they came and put it in real quick. They were fast and made sure everything was done right. Now I have a cool solar system that saves me money on my bills.

But what really makes Michigan Solar and Roofing stand out is how much they care about their customers. Even after they were done, they still helped me out and answered my questions. They really want to make sure everyone is happy. I would totally recommend them to anyone who needs a good solar system.

I hired Michigan Solar and Roofing, LLC to put in a solar system on 10/22/2022. They said yes to the deal and got half the money. But they haven't done anything yet and keep making up reasons for why they can't start. It's been a long wait.

Michigan Solar and Roofing installed my solar system on July 28. There were some issues at first, but they got sorted out by contacting Solaredge, the inverter system manufacturer. However, I've been having trouble with the system not communicating with the app that shows system info. When I call Solaredge, they tell me to call Michigan Solar and Roofing. I've been trying to get in touch with them for months, but *** keeps putting me off. Finally, they and the company, ***, won't even answer my calls or texts.

I paid $27,640.00 to get solar panels put on my roof by Michigan Solar and Roofing, LLC in June 2022. They said it would make more than enough electricity for me. But, they haven't made any electricity yet. I talked to customer service through email, phone, and text, but they won't come out to fix it or even look at it. Customer service says it's the installer's fault, the installer says it's the electrician's fault, and the electrician says it's working fine. They keep saying that the panels won't make as much energy on cloudy days as they do on sunny days. But, they haven't made much energy at all in the last 6 months. They also said that the panels would make energy with moon light, but that's not true.

We told the sales guy we wanna go solar if it saves us cash right away. He took pics of our roof, attic, electric box, and meter. After he did some paperwork, he gave us a price of about ***. We signed the contract. Things were cool until our case manager called and told my man their crew would be coming to do some repairs. We didn't know it needed repairs. She said it wasn't in the contract, so if we couldn't pay for it out of pocket we could add it to the contract price. She didn't say how much it might cost. We asked if we had to do it. She said if we didn't, we'd be charged a cancellation fee, which could be 1/4 of the contract price. We've emailed back and forth, and we still don't know how much the roof repairs will cost, but she did say our cancellation fee is between *** and ***.

I started the solar installation process with Michigan Solar and Roofing, LLC on 4/5/22. My loan of $85,000 covered roof repairs (completed on 6/13 for the house and 7/8 for the garage), tree removal (completed on 4/14), solar installation (completed on 6/16 but still not active and unable to use), electrical ($4,000 started but not complete), and battery ($20,000 told was on backorder). On 6/30, an electrician started electrical work but only disconnected wiring connected to my office, leaving my outer wall electrical plugs and fan/light switches not working. He also left many exposed wires, which is concerning. The electrician was supposed to come back the next day but never did. I contacted *** from Michigan *** on 7/1, but he never responded. I attempted to contact him again on 7/5 and 7/7 with no response. On 7/8, I found out that *** no longer worked there. I called and was directed to the project manager, ***. She assured me that this would not affect finishing my solar project and that I would be put on the schedule, but no one ever showed up. This same correspondence happened on 8/4, 8/8, 8/11, 8/30, and 9/15 with no result. On 9/22, I was told it would be an additional 3 to 4 weeks due to a delayed delivery on the battery. I requested electrical work be done in the meantime but was told they would ask and call back, which they did not. On 9/23, I left a message on voicemail but received no call back. On 9/28, I left another message but still received no correspondence. I filed a complaint with ***, who sent payment at the end of June but did not provide help. I was called by *** on 10/27 to put me on the schedule for 11/2, which I rescheduled a Dr. *** to make it work. I emailed on 11/1 for a confirmation but got no response. No one showed up, and I called on 11/2 but got voicemail. I have not received any updates.

I got Solar panels from MI Solar and Roofing LLC on 9.4.21, but they didn't install them until Jan 2022. In MARCH 2022, I complained on their website because they didn't respond to my messages asking for updates. I asked them to pick up their system because it wasn't working. They blamed COVID and staffing issues but said they would "look into the holdup". In mid JUN 2022, I messaged them again for an update. They said all the documents were sent to Consumers for the client and everything was set. I messaged Bill in solar and he said the only permit requested was for the install in JAN. The installer has to submit permits and documents to approve the system, not the customer's responsibility. I messaged Consumers and they forwarded the information to the company. They said they saw the documents and would see what could be done. On 6.27.22, I messaged again for an update. They said GOIA Documents were sent to me to sign and that I was holding up the process to commission the system. I messaged several times regarding NO GOIA documents received. On AUG 12, 2022, I got an email from IN MI POWER saying they declined GOIA. I messaged the company and they said the GOIA was sent to the wrong company. They cited staffing problems due to COVID. On Aug ***, I was told to use the ENPHASE App for help as the installers had done all they needed to. On 9.8.22, the system was commissioned. On 9.13.22, I messaged the installer about an error message "problem with gateway metering measurement". I contacted Enphase App Help and was told that wires on some panels were inverted and that only 2 panels were working correctly while 7 were not storing or working due to error. I referred to the installer to fix it. I forwarded the message to the company about what Enphase said. To date, NO response still exists. Quotes to fix the problem are expensive. I want the Installer to FIX the problem {panels to WORK correctly}, PAY my electric Bills from JAN to DEC, 2022 in the amount of $2,200 and install a FREE top of the line Solar Battery in my home.
