I transferred my accounts from Charles Schwab to Merrill Lynch based on a promotion by going and talking to an advisor. First and foremost, I spent several hours filing the paperwork and after the fact I was told that it was lost and/or not correct which delayed my transfer. I have called Merrill Lynch several times trying to get the cash offer that was promised to me. Now, it is coming close to one year. While with all my persistence, I got the cash offer for most of my accounts, my Roth IRA was not funded with the $1000.00 promised based on my transfer. I have sent several mails and have not gotten resolution to this issue. I didn't expect this kind of customer service and the amount of time I have to spend trying to get what was promised as part of the promotion. The responses and/or requests were instantaneous when Merrill wanted me to transfer my assets, but the same doesn't seem to be there when it came to honor their agreement. Please help me to get this resolved.
Desired outcome: Expect the cash bonus offer deposited to my account. The amount should be $1000.00

Keep pushing for that missing $1,000 by escalating to higher management. Reference the original promotion and document all your calls and emails. If they aren’t responding, consider filing a formal complaint, but stay firm – you’ve earned that offer.
