May Custom Home review: 7 porch diamond

In July 2022 I received a quote for a porch by 7 Porch Diamond. I paid a 2,900 deposit. In October the final permit after several changes finally came through. I provided all other documents and we were ready to build. They assured me I would receive a call the next day to set the appointment for the build. Instead, I received a text stating that I would need an additional $2,900 for footers. The footers were in the original engineering document, so this was a surprise. I could only communicate through texts. They do not answer phone calls. I asked what my options were and they said no other options could be offered. I asked for my money back and all communication with them ceased. I have written the CEO personally and sent several very professional emails. Still no communication. I texted several times to the original manager, Brittany who finally answered several weeks later through text with an email to their legal department. I wrote to them over a month ago with no reply. My lawyer sent them a legal request for a refund. We have not heard back. Communication with this company is not very good. The reasoning behind the additional money changed many times and did not add up.
