This place sells bad cars on purpose
This place sells bad cars on purpose. I bought a car from them in August , and just two days after driving it off the lot, it started overheating. I got some repairs done, but the car kept overheating. I paid for more repairs to replace the thermostat housing, but then two days later, a light came on saying there was low pressure, and the car shut off and wouldn't start again. I had to get it towed to a dealership, and they told me the car needs a new engine. I only had the car for a month! I talked to Matador Motors and told them what happened, and they said to come back and they would give me a new car and let the loan company know I was switching vehicles. But when I went back, they lied and said they would only take the car as a trade-in and apply for a new loan, giving me the trade-in value. But I still have the first loan! Then the guy tells me not to tell the loan company about the car. And then he says he won't take a loss for the car and tells me to take him to court. So that's what I'm going to do. See you in court.
I bought a Dodge Journey from Matador Motors in January
I bought a Dodge Journey from Matador Motors in January . I put down $2,000.00 and paid $200.00 for oil changes. I also purchased a warranty, but due to some tough times, I had to let it lapse. I went back to *** and asked if I could buy the warranty again, and he said yes. So, in July , I repurchased it. However, I later found out that I didn't actually have the warranty.
Thinking I had the warranty, I rented a car and expected to be reimbursed. Unfortunately, after having the car for seven months, it now needs a new engine. I contacted *** and he told me to have it towed to his car lot for a free diagnostic. Three weeks later, I called to see if he knew what the problem was, and he said I needed $2,700 for an engine. I explained that I didn't have that kind of money.
I called the bank and informed them that I wanted to surrender the car. A week or two later, the tow company called me to pick up my car. I called *** and he said it was fine. However, on November 16, when the tow company arrived, *** told them that I owed him $3,700 for the work he had done on the car. I never gave him permission to work on the car. *** refused to release my car to the tow company, claiming that I owed him and the bank.
I have decided to take him to small claims court.
