Massage Envy review: Unauthorized credit card charges

December 2019 - I received a "gift card" for a free massage. I went in and found the staff rude and lacking customer friendly attitude. I was advised that I needed to sign a contract which could be cancelled anytime at $60.00/month - 12 month. My massage was very uncomfortable, rough and stopped it in the middle of the session. I told the staff I am cancelling my contract - verbally - and was advised they would take care of it.

Due to Covid 19 etc., I never gave another thought about Massage Envy.

October 2020 - I find Massage Envy charging my debit card was charged $60.00. I contacted the Oceanside, CA location and they told me I didn't cancel the contract. I demanded a reimbursement. I was refused. Contacted my bank and was told the refund had to come from Massage Envy. After a 2nd $60.00 debit, I had to CANCEL my debit card.

I am requesting an immediate resolve to this matter and I be reimbursed the charges.

I have contacted BBB and found numerous complaints to this specific location NOT TO MENTION Yelp has numerous complaints as well.
