Massage Envy review: Massage that ended in injury

On 11/3/2022 at Lawrence, Kansas Massage Envy, I came in for my booked massage. I requested stronger pressure on the upper back and shoulders and lighter pressure on the extremities. While the masseuse was very helpful with the upper back and neck, the massaging of the legs resulted in significant knee pain in left my knee and quad that did not go away after two days. There was pain and swelling in my knee when bearing weight, and I sought medical care. x-rays did not show anything and a conservative approach and at-home therapy was prescribed. Pain returned post-injury with mild impact. MRI was taken and showed an osteochondral defect (bone and cartilage injury) on the left knee. I have a follow-up with Orthopedic doctor. I did not engage in other activities around the time of the injury that could have caused this. I am devastated. I went several weeks, working on my knee, in pain.
