We purchased 1 lb of shaved ham from the deli on 7/31/25 we got it home it was full of plastic from the wrapper on the meat, we understand that these things happen we are all human. We did Not have the receipt either.
My son tried to return the item for us the next day and was treated so poorly by the Manager Keith of 29 years. My son has disabilities and has a hard time speaking. He told the manager about his disability and he replied with (good for you) he told my son he was not getting. a refund because the meat was outdated, (that is not true we have photos of the product with the dates). He told my son to get out of his store. My son called me from the parking lot and I told him that was the right date, so he went back and tried to talk with him, I was on the phone and Keith said leave the store now! I said to my son let me speak with him and he said No my son said my mom wants to talk with you. He walked away, I told my son just leave and I will handle tomorrow.
I was able to return the product the next day with no problems.
My son has tattoos and looks like a rapper and has a hard time explaining things, he doesn't usually have any problems like that. He's a likeable guy.
I think the store would have been grateful for us bring back the product so no one chocked on it.
But anyway my son has the right to be treated with dignity and respect just like everyone else by law no mater what they look or talk like.
Where's all the compassion, and what happen to good customer service.
Sincerely Bette Jensen
Desired outcome: We would like for your company to have a training on resect of customers. My son wanted to call a disability lawyer that's how upset he was. Respectful Bette Jensen [protected]
