Tuesday, August 18th, from 2-3 pm, there were no leaks. The cost of doing business was covered by Nail Trak, which is a 50-year transferable warranty. However, the leaks started in the parlor and they tried to fix it by painting over it with some shingles (which is a positive thing). These shingles also come with a 50-year warranty. They suggested using Kilz to fix the issue, but I declined because there was no ventilation and I have three cats who could have been affected by the strong smell. So, they came back two or three times to paint it again. Unfortunately, we had a really bad rainstorm and now there is a stain on the dining room roof. The woman from the company said that because I refused the Kilz, they wouldn't fix the ceiling in the dining room. My husband and I bought the best shingles available, which were supposed to last for 50 years and were transferable. We also had ice and water protection all over the existing deck. The warranty on the shingles is for 20 years. We were hoping that with the amount of money we paid, we wouldn't have any problems with the roof.

We agreed on a price and I sent them a down payment. After that, I couldn't get them to do the work. No one would return my calls or emails. When someone finally called me back a couple of months later, they said they would be out to my house within the week. Again, a couple of months went by and I couldn't get anyone to come out and do the work. They would give a date and time and never show up. Not even a call to explain. Then I would have to go through the whole process again of trying to get someone on the phone to commit to a date and time to do the work. Finally, in September, they came out and installed the 2 skylights and left. I was working, so when I got a chance to take a look, I noticed that they didn't replace all the roof tiles, they didn't replace the gutters or missing flashing, and they did not leave the crank handle to open the skylight. I have been back and forth with them ever since. I've been able to get them to replace the gutters and provide the crank. But the gutters leak, and they still haven't finished my roof. They've made two appointments and haven't shown up.
