I was a bit worried about ordering from MajorMobiles, but boy was I wrong! I got my hands on an iPad 8th gen 2020 in just three days, and the price was totally reasonable. I couldn't find the 32GB version in stock anywhere else in the UK, so I was thrilled to find it here. The iPad came from the USA, but they included a plug adaptor for the UK, so I didn't have to worry about a thing. The power lead is a 'Lightning to USB-C' type, which seems to be all the rage these days, but it's only about 1m long, so I might need to get a longer one. The only thing I would complain about is that they didn't send me an email to let me know the iPad was on its way. But other than that, I'm really happy with the service I got from MajorMobiles.

Under the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994, it's actually a criminal offence to place on the market or supply in the UK an appliance that's not fitted with either a UK 3-pin plug or a non-UK plug permanently fitted with a UK safety-approved conversion plug.

And it's not enough to just provide a 3-pin plug adapter or to make the origin of the appliance clear on the product detail page. A loose adapter in the box in which the product is supplied is not sufficient either. You have to have the right plug fitted to the appliance.

I mean, come on MajorMobiles, get your act together! You can't just send out products that don't meet UK safety standards. It's not only illegal, but it's also dangerous. And the possible sanctions for breaching these regulations are fines and/or imprisonment.

So, if you're thinking of buying from MajorMobiles, I'd think twice. They clearly don't care about their customers' safety or satisfaction. Stick to a more reputable retailer and save yourself the hassle.

I returned a device almost a month ago because the seal was broken and the manufacturer told me that it had already been registered for warranty by someone else in 2020. I sent it back to the retailer on 24/01/2022 and was told to wait for two to three days for the return to be processed. But it's been twenty-seven days now and I still haven't received any refund.

I tried to contact them three times via email on 01/02/2022, 03/02/2022, and 08/02/2022 respectively, but I only got one response on 04/02/2022 where they said they would check up on the return. That was sixteen days ago and I haven't heard anything since. It's really frustrating because I need that money back.

If I don't receive a confirmation that my original payment will be refunded in the next three days, I plan to report the transaction to my bank and hopefully get a chargeback. I have evidence that the device was not sealed when it arrived and I also have digitally signed emails that document all my correspondence with them.
