My Toyota Prius got its catalytic converter stolen and it can't be driven without it. I found the part online at Kenny Thomas Olathe Toyota for a good price and ordered it on 08/09/2022. They took my money right away. But then, they called me days later to say that the part was not actually in-stock and was backordered. I told them that they already took my money and they said I could cancel the order but then I would lose my place in line. They also said that the part is on backorder all across the country. I decided to wait because I really need the part. They charged me $1,981.33 USD, which includes shipping, handling, and taxes. The part is still being advertised as in-stock, so I feel like I got ripped off by Toyota and this dealership. It's now 08/16/2022 and I still don't know when (or if) the part will arrive.

I bought some Toyota parts from Olathe Toyota's website last month. I sent back a cabin air filter on September 15th, but they say they gave me a refund of $31.29 on my credit card. I've talked to them and my credit card company, but I haven't seen any refund yet. I've tried to get this fixed a bunch of times, but they haven't done anything about it.

I had a problem with registration fees, just like someone else here. The sales guy and the finance officer lied to us. When we first talked about the fees, they said they would be paid by the dealership the first time and included in our down payment. Even when we were signing the contracts and discussing the fees with the finance officer, they said the same thing when I asked about the amount. Our down payment was $1000, and we traded in a car worth $400. I thought we would only pay another $600 out of pocket. But when they said we had to pay $1000 out of pocket, and it showed up as $1400, I asked about it. They could have been honest and said we were just paying the required down payment and the trade-in value would be added. But instead, they stuck to their lie. They said it was for the registration fees and told me to sign here to acknowledge it. So we did. Later, they called and said our plates were ready and we owed them $400+ for reimbursement of registration fees. We asked about it and said we paid those fees initially with our down payment. They said they don't do that and suddenly got really rude and said we didn't understand our contract. We said we were never told about reimbursement, even when we asked about the down payment. But the sales guy said we didn't understand what we were signing and it was our fault. My wife was then yelled at for several minutes because the person she was talking to got defensive about being caught in a lie. I didn't like the way we were treated and I didn't like being told we were stupid and didn't understand something when we were lied to.
