3/11/26 Placed Custom Order, Design Consultant advised it will be completed in 2 months. Customer provided personal computer generated Design with specifications typed on Drawing. After many delays and excuses, the final completed design was ready for pick up 7/3/26 of which I had made an appointment for final pickup of Necklace. I asked for a final detailed Receipt. They handed me a 2"x3" piece of paper handwritten with a total due of $2,676 for the Pendant portion of the design...I asked again for a formal final receipt...they said that will take more time to prepare. I wrote them a personal check of above amountI then asked that they mail me a final/formal receipt----they e-mailed me a copy of the Receipt 2-1/2 hours later with a lower amouont of $2,514. My personal check was processed/cashed by them on 7/7/26. Therefore my amount paid on handwritten slip of paper was an overpayment of $162.22, of which I have been trying to get a Refund for my overpayment. As of 8/21/26 I still have not received the refund of overpayment due me, therefore, they have not completed this contract. The female employees of this store are unprofessional, inexperienced, untrustworthy, poor communicators to Customer and their Repair Shop located 12 miles northeast of this store----and definitely a poor example to Kay Jewelers reputation.
Claimed loss: Overpayment of $162.22, in addition to a total of now 5 months of emotional stress, aggravation caused to the Customer by the female employee(s) of this store, Associate #[protected].
Desired outcome: I requested from the original Design Consultant/Associate a personal check mailed to my home, and she continues to give me excuses of the delay of my Overpayment Refund.
