In May , I purchased a Honda CR-V from John Hinder located in ***. The sales person I was working with was ***. The car I purchased was a previously owned vehicle. I did find the service throughout the whole process very good and I was satisfied with the outcome. This weekend, I went to another (just a lot closer to my new home) certified *** dealership, with the intent of trading in my ***. According to the Kelley Blue Book, with the amount of miles and condition of my car, I should have been able to trade in my car for around $16,500. However, when the dealership did an appraisal for my car, they were only offering $11,000, which is clearly much lower than I thought it would be. I inquired as to why, and I was told that the car had been in 3 accidents prior to my ownership. I was never made aware that my 2016 car, bought only in 2019, already had been involved with three different accidents. That information was NEVER disclosed to me. If I would have known that, I never would have purchased the car. I was not able to purchase the new car I wanted because of the lack of disclosure from ***.

The staff at Hinderer Honda guaranteed me that they could get me financed in a car since I had some credit issues. I had gone to some other dealerships with no luck. When I get there they show me a 2015 Toyota Camry with front end damage. I requested they fix it before I take the car. They refused and stated the bank would only finance that car for me with my situation. The car was $15000.00 and I put $1700.00 down. I was there around 4 to 5 hours arguing with them about fixing the car. The car should never have been on the lot like that in the first place. If they were going to sell it they should have or sent it to auction. A employee even told me that. I even requested to go onto the lot and look at other cars at the same price and they said no that this was the only car the bank would finance. Yes part of this is my fault but I needed a car and I was there by myself. There answer was well we will give you a discount for getting it fixed here. Well that discount was only 4%!. I have made several calls since then to them trying to get them to work with me to no avail. One manager higher up even hung up on me. I have been nice all through this because that's how I am. I hate people that get loud and nasty with people. That is not good. I have since then paid out $2400.00 to get the car fixed and it looks very nice now. I had to take the car in for service on Wednesday April 22nd because it kept stalling. I then found out that my "great" warranty (lifetime") does not cover rental cars.
Something else that was not explained or told to me when going over the warranty. I will not and have not recommended this dealership to anyone just because of the treatment I have received. I have NEVER been to a dealership that has done this to me.
If there has been an issue the dealer has ALWAYS fixed the issue prior to me getting the car. I also told them that but it went in one ear and out the other. It's dirty practice and I don't want anyone else to go through something like this with them.
