dont use this company theyre ridiculous and dont have a good way to schedule orders. i waited 5 days for them to call me back to schedule and they said their sales guys dont work on weekends so i gotta take off work to have them come out. you should just use someone else for your windows and doors.

I got a new door from J&G Carpentry, Inc. on 4/28/22 but it doesn't close right. The installer said it was because of the weather stripping and that I needed a more expensive lock. The manager said they would order custom weather stripping but it's been two weeks and they haven't given me an update. They also didn't give me a work permit and now the permit office says they haven't paid for it. The new lock is stressed because the door has a wide gap and the installers kept banging it. The door is bent and there's daylight showing in both upper corners. It's been a month and I've called multiple times but nothing has happened. See attached photos of the closed door where air leaks out and mosquitoes can get in. I don't think weather stripping can fix it because the door seems too narrow.

I got some french doors put in my crib back in 2016. Fast forward four years and I find out that no permit was ever issued. Now that I'm trying to sell my place, the permit is still open with Hillsborough County. Finally got the permit on Saturday, but now my crib is empty and I gotta be there without any furniture or food or nothing. I'm thinking about calling those dudes at J&G Carpentry, Inc. and giving them a piece of my mind. They were hella unprofessional. The guys who put in the doors didn't even tell us it was our job to close out the permit. The more I think about it, the more I feel like I need to get some legal advice on this mess.

I trsted J&G Carpentry cuz they were with Home Depot. Bad move on my part. And that's why I'm writing this review. I don't usually post reviews online, but I gotta warn others who need help with a home project or installation. Don't trust these guys!

Long story short: They sent a J&G employee '***' to measure for the project beforehand. They charged me $450 for installing two (2) doors, and then added another $325 cuz 'It was a two-man job that required six hours' to install. They finished the whole thing in 1 hour, 45 minutes. I trusted that it would take the time and require the manpower they quoted me for, so I paid in advance. I trusted their expertise. That was my mistake. When they finished in under two hours (even though I was led to believe the project would take six), we asked them about it before they left our house. They blamed Home Depot, and of course, Home Depot blamed them right back. Meanwhile, my multiple attempts to get a rebate or refund from either party fell on deaf ears.

I just don't want this to happen to anyone else! J&G took our money and Home Depot isn't exactly innocent either. I highly recommend you don't hire them.

I'm waiting for their reply on this website.
