Forest City Custom Renovations

Forest City Custom Renovations did a bad job on my ceiling drywall and plaster. They were only interested in getting paid upfront and didn't care about the quality of their work. The taping lines were visible and there were cracks in the plaster. I had to spend an extra $3000 to hire another company to fix their mistakes. Very unprofessional and not worth the money.

I gave them $675 plus tax on August 13, but they did not communicate or refund me. Their painting job was terrible and damaged my whole house. The owner agreed to fix it, but the second painter they sent refused to start because he was not paid enough. He said the owner owed him money for other work. The owner could not give me a firm plan with dates and was still looking for another painter after 10 days. I felt uncomfortable with their lack of communication and experience with two painters, so I asked for a refund of my deposit at 9pm that night. The owner was surprised and agreed to refund me in writing via text, but I have not received it yet and they have not responded to my messages.

Forest City Custom Renovations is not a good choice for consumers. Don't believe everything you see and if you decide to use this company, make sure to verify their accreditations and worker certifications. Also, ensure that they provide the correct business number and HST number as what is stated can be misleading. My renovation turned out to be very poor quality and I would rate it a 3 out of 10. It looks like it was done by a 7-year-old and requires redoing due to all the problems and defects in the work performed. I have pictures, text messages, and backup information to support my rating. I just want to make sure that others don't waste their money on this company's lack of quality work.
