Jackson Hewitt review: Tax return prepared by Norene Davis in Waco, Texas, Franklin Ave. Walmart

The "Lead Preparer", Mrs. Norene Davis, told me if I had a side business she could reduce my taxes. I had received a check for a freelance writing thing in a devotional magazine. She amended my taxes and it showed that I owed $1,262 less than the short form she did. So we sent that in along with a $2,421 check. Friday, I got a letter from the IRS wanting the $1,000+ payment and it had the exact amount Ms. Davis said she "saved" me. Plus penalty and interest. I called Jackson Hewitt and was told I would have to go out of town and show them the letter. I am in my 70s and cannot drive that far due to poor eyesight. So I am out of luck.
