I gotta say, I had the same experience with Brittain as Bethany W. They took over my apartment a few months before I moved out and didn't do the pre-move out inspection I asked for. Then they took a chunk outta my security deposit for small paint touch-ups, even for stuff that was there when I moved in. I've been trying to work it out with Codey, but he's not helpful at all. He never answers his phone and takes forever to respond to emails. Brittain lost all my maintenance requests from the old management company, so I can't prove anything. Bethany W was right, these guys are not pros and you should stay away!

brittain commercial is a scam. they kept my deposit and tried to charge me for stuff that was already messed up. they also wanted to charge for cleaning even though we showed them pics of how we left it. don't trust them!

Post-move, I received a notice that my entire security deposit was taken, with additional charges of $3,445.07 for damages and 'excessive wear and tear.' Requesting details about the carpet damage and the wear and tear policy from my lease agreement, I received no response. Nevertheless, I settled the charges by delivering a check for the full amount on October 20th, adhering to the 14-day notice period from October 13th. The check was cashed by Brittain Commercial on October 22nd. Subsequently, the charges were forwarded to a collections agency. A mail notice on November 13th gave me 30 days to pay or dispute the charges before a negative credit report filing. I've contested the charges with both entities but await responses. I seek the ComplaintsBoard.com's aid in resolving this and expect an apology from Brittain Commercial for the undue stress and subpar service.

I even took a picture of the notice, but they still charged me. They also charged me $1,975.51 for carpet and painting, even though the carpets weren't new when I moved in. I tried emailing and calling, but they didn't respond. Now, they added me to collections and my credit score dropped. I want my $1,180 charge removed and my deposit back in full. They were negligent and didn't communicate with me. Remove collections too.
