Italo Jewelry (italojewelry.com) has left a negative impression on me due to their lack of transparency and customer service when it comes to returning merchandise. As someone who enjoys purchasing jewelry online, I was disappointed to find that Italo Jewelry would not provide their address for returning an item. Despite being well within their 30 day return policy, I have written them four times asking for their address so that I could return a ring that was too big and had uncomfortable stones between my fingers.
The company has not been helpful when it comes to addressing my concerns. They have continuously offered me other merchandise that I have no interest in, while avoiding the issue at hand. The issue is that I want to return the ring for a full refund as stated in their policy. As of today, their solution was to have me take a picture of the ring with a tag attached and then "offer me the address" once they examined the picture.
This process has been frustrating and has left me feeling unheard as a customer. It has unfortunately become an ongoing issue that I plan to handle assertively. I have made it clear to them that if I do not receive a full refund in the next 7-10 days, I will escalate the matter to my attorney and report Italo Jewelry to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3 that partners with the FBI).
As a consumer, I think it is important to hold companies accountable for their policies and practices. Then, upon receiving the enamelled ring, I noticed that the engravings I requested were missing. It was frustrating to say the least as I had to contact someone in order to rectify the issue.
This is where things went from bad to worse. They said they would check with the warehouse to ensure that they did not do the engravings and requested pictures of the ring as evidence. Unfortunately, getting hold of someone via email took a significant amount of time, which was quite frustrating. Even when I did finally get hold of someone, the communication was not as efficient as I would have liked. Getting a response from them took forever and it was quite disheartening when I didn't hear back at all.

This is probably what saved me from sending the ring back as I doubt that I would have received my money back! Although I am still in possession of the ring, I have only worn it twice due to my disappointing experience.
