I bought a Intex pool at the end of last summer and never put it up till now. We had a heck of time getting the ground level. Finally did that and filled it up and I noticed it was really wet on the on side at a small area. We haven't been in it yet even! I looked inside the pool and where I think it is leaking is where it is stitched wrong! I'm not wasting...

I am on to my second pump, due to the impeller shattering after only a couple of months!

Local dealer did the "duck and weave" thing however quite happy to sell me more!

Also beware of the vacuums you can get and get caught!

Vacuum will suck up leaves off the bottom, however, silt, soil, etc, will pass straight through the filter and get evenly distributed back into the pool to resettle on the bottom again! You have to be kidding me? What is the point of a vacuum I ask? TO MAKE MORE MONEY FOR THE SELLER!

I am running my new pump through a timer ($12 from Bunnings) for two 4 hour runs each day. They do suggest a minimum of eight hours per day. I split it in two.

Cheers

I have bought several Intex products and my biggest complain is their cheap ### pumps. I bought a #635 and it lasted a season and a half. I found broken propeller blades in the unit. I have a pool filled with water and no pump. I think we all need to get together and file a class action lawsuit on these people for making a crappy product. then maybe they will get the message and start taking care of the consumer.

Thanks, Joe

Intex is a great company. They dont carry the impellar, but they have a warranty on all the pumps, and do the free replacement with just the receipt.

Thanks intex.

Intex Recreation bad filter pump

We purchased a brand new Intex pool, but the filter/pump was dated 2006 had rusty screws holding it together and had green slime in it upon taking it out of the box. The impeller that makes it work had a broken fin in it, and the pump didn't work at all.

Ours went out the first time we plugged it in...as the pool was already full of water, we ended out forking out 100 bucks for the 2500 model instead of the 1500 we had last year. All the fins were broke on the old one. Also the brand new not even a month old pump keeps over heating, I've contacted the customer service and my only option is to send it back (I pay all postage) and they will send me a new one with a 4-6 week return time! Summer will be over!

Intex Recreation impeller problems

I would have recommended anyone to buy one of these pools until we went through 2 pumps because of faulty impellers. In my opinion these PLASTIC impellers were designed to fail and force you to by a new pump. The design of the hoses and hook ups also makes it difficult to move to a btter designed pump without replacing everything and good luck with that. Intex did not step up and help me and I am dissapointed and would not recommend thier pools to anyone. All of this bad feedback for a $2.00 part.

Intex sucks! We kept getting an error E-90..no heat and no filteration was working on our intex hot tub spa...They want that 290.00 for a new control base..when its a 5 cent plastic shaft that kept breaking. You turn the whole unit upside down and the impeller housing is located underneath on the very bottom underneath base..Where youd least expect it to be, suppose they did it that way so people would be stupid enough to keep giving them money. Anyhow it disconnects easy ..like 3 bolts for plastic cover and 4 or 5 for inpeller cover..the impeller is magnatized so just pull it out. And chances are if your pumps not filtering or soas not heating its the cheap white plastic shaft of impeller. Easy fix. Pull out broken shaft and replace with a #10 finishing roofing nail..guarteed to last alot longer that their money grubbing product is suppose to.

I am on my 4th pump/filter in 2 years. Customer service prevents any problems from being escalated. They will only accept my warranty claim if I send them my defective pump first! The cheesy impeller is of such poor design with the selection of the impeller shaft being bound to fail prematurely. The comments about finding mating connections for another brand of pump is true. Save yourself grief and spend more on a quality product.

Intex Recreation air beds that intex does not stand behind on thier products.

My boyfriend and I have bought 6 Raised Airbeds from Intex( thru Shopko) every single mattress has gotten a leak at the seam. We called Intex and were told they do not do refunds or exchanges on thier products. The box that the mattress came in says " do not return to store call Intex for any problems".
So my question is why would they have the box saying that and not stand behind their products?

My roommate has purchased five Intex twin size Classic Downy air mattresses in the past 2 months. ALL OF THEM developed leaks.
This company is NOT worth buying ANYTHING from. And if you get anything from Intex as a gift, you'd be better off trowing it away than trying to use it.

They tell you NOT to take it back to where you purchases it from and to call them instead because they don't want the stores that sold it to know how many defective products from this company that they are selling.

I too bought a intex air bed and the smell was making me sick. I went to sleep around 9:00pm and woke up at six o clock AM from that smell. I don't know what chemicals they use to make this plastic air bed. But people I am telling you don't buy it. I admit it was comfy but that odor is UNBEARABLE. IT CAN KILL YOU, I MEAN AS IN DEATH PEOPLE. IT GOT ME VERY ILL! I STARTED GETTING HEART PALPITIONS FROM THAT SMELL. DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU INTO SAYING THAT YOU SHOULD LET THE AIR OUT IT IS NOT GOING TO WORK. PLEASE USE YOUR BRAINS WE ARE SUPPOSE TO BE THE DOMINANT SPECIES BUT WE ARE NOT. IF YOU BOUGHT IT TAKE IT BACK, AND IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BUYING IT THEN YOU WILL BE SORRY! I BOUGHT THIS BED AT OCEAN STATE JOB LOT IN RHODE ISLAND. IF YOU BOUGHT IT FROM THE COMPANY INTEX AND THEY REFUSE TO GIVE BACK YOUR MONEY TAKE THERE ###ING TOXIC AS TO COURT. THAT MEANS THEY ARE BEING CRYPTIC WHICH MEANS HIDDEN.

I didn't keep the inlet of the pump clean & debree passed threw the skimmer screen & had broken all the impeller blades. Intex did warranty the pump becouse it was within one year of purchase, but I did ask for a new impeller, they couldn't send or offer one. I disassembled the pump/motor & searched the net for parts with no luck. I'm still looking for an impeller to fix the original pump since it is still new & can be used again

Intex Recreation pools and company are bad news

I to thought the INTEX deal was the greatest thing since sliced bread for the money after getting some quotes from pool companies to install a pool at my home. :( Boy was I wrong. Yes set up was easy, I guess I got lucky nothing was missing or broken. Then I filled the pool and started the sorry excuse for a pump and filter system. 9'x18'x52" rectangular ultra frame by the way. Everything was downhill from their. Pump Sucks, (too small)Filter system sucks, (everything you vacuum goes back in the pool) etc.etc. . After about a month of fighting to get the water clear, about $200 plus in chemicals, 10+ filters and, tons of wasted time I decided to hit the net. What did I find at first but page after page of complaints. Wish I would have done this before I purchased, but it was kind of a impulse purchase now I just had to deal with it. Now I am here to offer some help to the rest of you the got taken by the INTEX scam without spending a ton more money and it works. In the next few days go to http://www.intexfix.info and ill show you what to do to finally enjoy your poorly designed INTEX pool. We are also working on an area at the site for signatures from people to possibley get a class action suit going . With out support it will not work . So check the site often and join the fight agains a company that knows their product is crap but doesnt care.

Intex Recreation terrible company

We bought a 24'x52' pool last Sept of 2007 and first put it up on July 4, 2008. It was stored in the same box never opened it till then. We figured since we will have snow soon, we would put it up in the spring.
We put up our pool and started to fill it when we noticed a split by the bottom where the rope and the pool seam meets.

I called intex and told them the whole story and made sure I told them that we bought it last fall. They said that they would send me a claim form via the internet and that they would replace the pool liner with no problem. I talked to 3 different people at their customer satisfaction service number and they all said that they would replace it.

So, I filled out the claim form and I also had to cut up our pool so we could send in 5 different part of our pool per the claim form, and I did. They gave me a claim number and even told me the approximate day we would receive our new pool liner. Two days after we sent in the parts, I received a rejection notice in my e-mail stating that it was over 90 days and they will not cover it, even though 3 different people stated that there would be no problem. We have talked to customer service, supervisors, managers, even the complaint department and they will do nothing and we are out over $600.00.

If they would have never said to cut up our pool because they will not cover it we could have fixed ourselves or have it professional done. What kind of company would tell someone to cut up a brand new pool never even used and then reject it two days later.

We have not even used our pool or even hooked up the filter to it. All we wanted is to have them replace the pool liner and stand behind their product and their word.

Horrible customer service! Do not buy intex junk! Pool pump stopped working after a year and a half and after speaking with about 5 different people, they are making me wait 10 days for a new pump which means I will need to drain my pool and fill it again so there goes the money I saved on purchasing a new pump. They make you feel like they're doing you a favor and in reality they know damn well they sell junk at top dollar!

Bought the Metal Frame Rectangular Pool 24 x 12 We have had nothing but problem after problem. This is our second year having the pool. Filled this pool with 200.00 worth of water, to realize there is a leak in both Plunger Valve Assembley Parts. Called intex for help on this emergency, customer service says "we are not taking calls right now as call volumes are high" Thats a lot of help.

I bought an 18' by 48" pool for my kids last year, by the end of the summer, the pump had started making noise, but still pumped. Intex Recreation pool pump size

Pool pump sizing is based on turning over the water in the pool once every 12 hours; if your pool is 7, 500 gallons and the pump is pumping 1, 500 GPH than you must run the pump at least 10 hours a day. This is the industy standard for above ground pools. Without proper chemical maintance the pump could pump 5, 000 GPH and your pool would still not be clean. First off I am not on the side of Intex and have had nothing but problems with this company, will never buy anymore of thier products. If you want larger pumps sold with these pools you need to let the store buyers from the Walmarts, Kmarts and Targets know because these people are the ones that tell the manufacture which pump/filter system they want based on price points and cost - they know the consumers will purchase what ever they put in the store as long as the cost is low.

Intex Recreation safety issue & waste of money!

Company refuses to change tubes that dry rot and won't even last through 1 pool season so every year new tubes have to be ordered! I upgraded to bigger pool with same problems. The last straw was my pool was only on it's second season & came apart at seams, flooded my yard and killed all my grass! How safe can it be when 1 minute your kids are having fun laughing & then boom - the pool empties, your dumped on the ground & no more fun. The company brushed me aside without replacing it, crediting me or a discount on a new one. What a waste of money! This company has poorly made products & does not care 1 bit about it's customers - whether new or loyal customers of years!

If there is one thing that we all agree on it's that Intex customer service and products have become the bottom feeder of recreational goods. I have over the years purchased numerous pools and pumps. And until 2012 they were all very well made. Since I had no issues with them, I didn't contact Customer service. In spring 2013 we had heard about the benefits of salt water systems. Having no problems with the Intex products, I bought the Intex salt system. From that time until now, I have purchased 2 salt systems and 1 Ozone generator salt system. I have had nothing but issues with all of them. My current one concerns the ozone generator assembly. I purchased it in March of 2015 from Amazon, on sale for $149.00 and put in service on May 27th.we are in Kansas and it's too cold to use the pool until June.things worked fine all summer. On August 15th I closed the pool and stored the pump and the Ozone salt system in my garage. Last week I opened the pool, only to find the Ozone salt system's "Replace ozone generator assembly".I contacted Intex and was told, sorry you're out of the 1 year warranty. Then they gave me the part number. When I tried to order it online at their replacement parts store. After entering the number and description, it came back "part not found" what else needs to be said for Intex customer service.

Intex Recreation replacement hoses

We have an 18' X 48" Intex above ground pool. My 2" diameter water transfer hose recently sprung a leak and when I went on line to Intex.com amd there were no replacement hoses for our pump 520. I called and they told me that they were not required to have replacements after a two year period! Now, I have been looking all over on line and there is no such thing. They were no help at Intex, I was told to "Go to a pool supplier." Well, we live on a small island (Kauai) in the Hawaiian Islands and there are few of those and they don't have this particular hose. Now, we can't use the pool because the pump is not working and it is unhealthy. What in the heck am I supposed to do--waste money and buy a new pump when this one is working? I guess that the pool and its components are going to the dump. Very bad way to run a business:(

Used Anamaniac's idea of the caulk and duck tape. It works great. I thought about using a radiator hose, too.

On a side note, I was able to replace the feeder hoses from the pool from a pool supplier but I was thinking that if the hoses were black then the sun might heat the water. Or maybe I should put an interim black tank in.

Another solution to the problem,

I went to AutoZone and bought an M-299 Kelly Springfield radiator hose. it has a 90 degree elbow and 1 1/2 inch inside diameter. I had to do some cutting, but once I tightened the hose clamps it worked perfect. There is a crimp in the hose, however the pressure is still good flowing through it.

You may be able to find a radiator hose that will not crimp,

Dear Sir,

I have taken one intex dvd player and one woofer with two speakers 2400 Walt's, on 25th Oct 2008 from Spencer's at pacific mall. at that time vendor told me that take these service company telephone numbers whenever you faced any prob just call once the person will come your door and satisfy you without any fees. now when i m using its running perfectly but its voice is not correct hear able. so i contact your ghaziabad service center to send one person who can demonstrate and understand me on the same, but he simply refuse to come home. I belive that if will purchase from lg, sony, bpl or etc they will satify me if i m not satisfied for his good reputation.

I believe that intex is reputed company and for the customer satisfaction and long term relationship with you pls consider this urgently and give me the satisfactory answer.

Same problem here. I bought good waterproof caulk and caulked inside the grooves on the top side of the hose (where the cracks were). I let it dry and then wrapped it with "outdoor" duct tape (it's a darker gray and says it's for outdoor use). It's worked so far. If if fails again, I'll try something like Bill said.

SOLUTION TO PROBLEM

buy a 2'' rubber discharge hose (the flat rubber hose sold at most any hardware store) Then, buy a 2.5'' spa hose or other hard durabule hose. Next put the rubber hose in spa hose and attach w/ clamps. leave a little room at the ends to seal rubber hose (spa hose is a tad bit shorter than rubber hose.

Intex Recreation poor service!

I am writing to explain an ongoing problem that I have had in trying to obtain a replacement pump Model 635 from an Intex 24 X 12 pool set that I purchased June 3rd, 2007 at a Canadian Tire store in Canada.

The pump only lasted approximately 2 weeks before it ceased to function any longer and I immediately contacted the INTEX service department in California for a warranty replacement, detailing the circumstances in a letter and faxing the information as requested. I called after I had faxed the letter (and original proof of purchase receipt) to confirm that the fax had been received. I was told that it had been received and the warranty claim approved and that I should be receiving my new pump within 2 weeks.

On July 31, 2007, having not received the pump I contacted the consumer department again to be advised that they had no record of my original claim and that I should send the information again. I promptly did so and followed up with another phone call to confirm that they received the fax. Upon confirmation I was told that the fax was received and approved and that I should anticipate my replacement pump in about 2 weeks. I advised that I would follow up with another phone call to obtain a confirmation number which I did on August 01, 2007.

I contacted the company again in mid August to be advised that the pumps were “back-ordered” and it would be approximately 2 week before I received my replacement.

Today, September 5, 2007, I contacted the company again to determine the status of the pump. In mid August I was directed to the website to confirm that the company was out of stock on the model 635 pump but noticed that it no longer indicates that as of this date. I was advised initially today that no record exists of my warranty claim but when I gave the woman my confirmation number she then put me on hold and advised upon returning that it would be another 3-4 weeks for my pump to arrive because they are “back-ordered.” I pointed out that I was advised of this before and directed to note the “out of stock” claim on the website but now the website makes no such claim. She then told me that “Canadian’s are different.” I politely told her that I will have been waiting almost 3 months based on her estimate for a replacement pump and that I needed to contact someone else in the company to lodge a formal complaint. She told me that the supervisors were on discrete extensions and that there was no one to contact. When I questioned this and asked for her name, she promptly hung up on me.

I have been patient, I have been polite, I have been willing to be stroked along with all of the mishandling of this very simple claim, but frankly... that is the final straw. I work in aviation as a supervisor of 10 and if I allowed any of my staff to behave this way towards any of our stakeholders or to not honor the company intent for customer satisfaction I would lose my job. I have NEVER been party to such carelessness or disdain in customer service relations before in my life. I purchased the swimming pool in good faith and was only able to use it for a very short time, even planning my family’s vacation around it.

My intent is to contact the major Canadian retailers of INTEX products and advise them that their customers should beware of false warranty information and lack of commitment by INTEX to expedite simple claims. It would appear that this company DOES NOT stand behind it's warranties. Perhaps the major retailers might reconsider stocking INTEX products. INTEX is a HONG KONG based company and it would seem another in the long line of Chinese companies with production, warranty and service issues.

1 I purchased one Intex Aura I 1224 Black IMEI No. [protected] and Batt. S/No. GHD107270004418 Bill No. 760 Dated 06.09.2007 from Party No. 1 in cash Rs. 7700.00. I have been dealing with Intexcorp for about a month and a half over missing parts for a 18' above ground metal frame pool. The valves and filter strainers needed to hook up the pump to the pool were missing, I called Intexcorp and was advised I needed to submit a claim form to get the missing parts. Ok thats fair so I faxed it to the number that they gave us and called back a week later to check on my claim. I was told that my fax did not come through and was given a second number to fax it to, sent it to both numbers this time and again called to check on the missing parts. I was told that they had received my claim but the parts were on back order and that they would be sent ASAP. Two weeks later called again and was told that my claim was not received and wanted to know what number I had faxed it to. The customer service rep. was reading from my claim form so I know that they have it, again more run around and stalling from Intexcorp. So what to do what to do? Decided to call every retailer of their products and ask them to get involved. I figured if everyone that has had a problem with Intexcorp customer service could start complaining to the major retailers, ie. Walmart, Target, Home Depot then they might stop selling Intexcorp products and put them out of business. If nothing else they might have to fix their Com.Ser.Dept. I hope that everyone that knows someone who has had a problem with INTEXCORP passes this idea on and start hitting INTEXCORP in their wallet.

Intex Recreation horrible customer service

I purchase a new pump for my pool and it lasted only two weeks. Intex replaced this pump with another and it lasted only three weeks. Intex then insisted that I ship back the defective pump for a replacement which I did at a cost of $25.00 for shipping. I requested that a supervisor contact me so I could discuss what options I had to avoid a third replacement and the associated shipping costs. Their customer service department will not allow me to speak to a supervisor and that I would receive a call from a supervisor within 24 hours. It has been four days and no one has called me and still the customer service department will not allow me to speak to a supervisor. I think that Intex makes a good pool overall but their pumps and customer service are very questionable.

We're having problems getting our pool pump replaced, support personnel are all foreign and don't speak English well. They won't allow you to speak to a supervisor, it's been weeks now and still can't get a replacement pump. Here we are in the middle of pool season and I'm having to use a sump pump hanging on a rope to try and circulate the water.

I bought a 16' x 48" intex pool and the pump went out in less than 2 weeks. I called the warranty phone number on the paperwork and they said they did not take care of the pump and to call intex. I called intex and they said the other company should take care of it. Do not purchase one of these pools - biggest piece of crap ever and they don't stand behind anything.

I purchased a 15' x 48' Intex pool from toys r us TWO days ago and the pump worked for three hours. I called Toys r us to inquire about exchanging the pool. Toys r us informed me the they will not make any exchanges on the pool once it is purchased, because it is an Intex product we have to deal with Intex for a replacement. I called Intex and the will send me a replacement but only after I pay the shipping and return the old pump. which in all will take a total of two weeks. We now have a pool that has no pump for two weeks.

I bought an Intex 18x48 pool for my kids last year and have had the worst luck with the pool. The pumps that come with the pool are not strong enough to even circulate the water. Therefore the pool stays dirty all the time. There is really nothing that you can do for this. I feel like I have wasted $700 on a pool that is worthless. We have spent more time and money trying to fix the pool where we could swim in it than we have been swimming in two summers of having the pool.

I would not recommend these pools to anyone.

Intex Recreation inflatable pools do not last long

I bought an Intex pool in 2006 and it ripped in less than 1 month. I called Intex and they sent me a new inflatable dinosaur pool to replace the other one. I used that one for about 1 month and carefully put it away in a large garbage bag. This year (2007) I brought it out and tried to pump it up and the air would not stay in the pool. I looked around the pool and found two slits in it. I fixed the holes and pumped it up and it stayed up for a little while. Then it deflated again. This is sooo frustrating to me. I would never buy their product again.

We bought an inflatable 15'x42" Intex pool at the end of summer last year and stored it til this summer-- it was on clearance. All was well until during the third month during its first season of use when it just split right at the seam near the bottom. About 4000 gallons over the patio and under the doors into the house. What an absolute piece of junk! Of course we can't locate the recept since we bought it over a year ago. We spent a few hundred dollars for two and half months of mediocre pool fun! Save your money, buy a qulaity product-- not these intex, summer escape pieces of garbage. Additionally, the pump is a tiny little piece of junk too. Too small to do an adequate job. These pools are really a big joke.

I have an Intex Easy-Set inflatable pool. If you take care of your stuff, it will last. Like all inflatable products, they will get holes in them if you abuse them. And frankly for the price, can you expect them to last ten years. One month is not long enough, but slits don't appear on there own. Miss use is obvious hear I think.

Intex Recreation poor quality product!

I purchased an Intex 18' X 48" easy set pool last June the pool was great at the time of use I took the pool down for the winter due to the freezing temperatures we experience in Virginia. I took the pool out this year to set up everything went well until I completed hooking up the pump to the pool when I released the water into the hoses to fill the pump and took the pressure off the pump I turned the switch on, the pump made a horrible noise like it was breaking apart I immediately turned the pump off opened the filter area of the pump finding plastic pieces in the filter area. I took the cover off finding the impeller blades had broken completely off of the shaft resulting in the pump not being any good for anything. I have called and called with the same results the volume of calls are so high that there will be a 15 or 30 minute wait. I do not have the time to wait on line to speak to someone since I'm calling during business hours and I have phones to answer at my place of business. I ordered another pump on line hoping this pump will be better than the one that came with the pool. My pump is under warranty and I haven't had much luck getting in touch with someone to replace it the operation manual states mail it back to Intex for replacement with prepaid postage, I have no problem with doing this as long as they will respond or replace the pump. I agree with a pool as large as 18' X 48" I would feel the pump does not pump enough water to keep the pool clean the GPH needs to be much larger.

Very poor service and product quality!

I too have the same problem, wrote to intex in email twice with no answer. I am done with them. The are trapping consumers with faulty engine part that they obviously know is no good. Chiffon line they want to sell these kits and not take responsibility. I'm gonna try and get a television program like 20/20 to give them a warning, it's for the protection of all the consumers.

I have gone through two Intex pool pumps in one summer. Thank goodness, they replaced the first with no problems because it was still under warranty. The second went out just after warranty and no replacement. The pumps work fine. It is the crappy and poorly made impeller that falls apart. I know they could make a replacement impeller for little of nothing. If they would just offer these to the consumers, it would save their reputation. As for now, their reputation sucks and I will NEVER purchase another Intex product.

I purchased a pool with an Intex pump as well and, just like all of the above, the impeller fell to pieces. Fortunately, my pool was only 4 months old so I e-mailed and they sent a replacement pump. Just like the last, the impeller pooped out after only 3 months of use. I I am frustrated with thier poor product and especially the fact they will not sell a replacement part.
I have no choice but to replace my pump but it will NOT be an Intex product.

We purchsaed a Woods(Canada) air bed and after about 5 uses it started to leak air.Intex bought Woods...and afer a series of e-mails to Intex, they essentially wanted nothing to do with us. It was out of warranty by about 10 months. I printed off the e-mails and sent them, with a letter, by mail, to Intex Head office, attention General Manager. No reply, no acknowledgment, nothing...nothing.

I recently obtained an intex 635 pump from a friend who's shoddy intex pool failed after one season of use. Pump started out noisy, after a week it got even noisier and then jammed up. I tried to unjam with a screwdriver and the blades broke off the impeller. Yeah I know, I basically broke it, but upon dis assembly I found that I only broke off some of the blades, the rest had broken off already (hence the noise). Long story short, I am shocked that intex doesn't sell replacement impellers. Now a perfectly good $100.00 pump is garbage.

Same problem here. Bought a 15' round metal frame pool May 2008. Pump didn't work. Intex did replace the pump, but took three weeks to get here. Set up our pool this year, pump did not work. (the replacement pump.) Phoned Intex, and I was one day past the warranty on that pump, they were closed on the weekend. They stated that they have to go by my original purchase date, although I received my new pump June 15th 2008. One day past my warranty? The impeller broke, and it is the one part you can not buy from Intex?
Decent pump to replace it with is a hydro force pump. Much simpler to use, and replace the filter. I am just choked cause the INTEX pump only worked for 3 months, cause where I come from, pools would freeze if left up over the winter. Shotty workmanship, rude customer service representatives, poor quality products. I feel and hear your pain.

Intex Recreation problem with pool pump size!

I purchased my second Intex pool recently. My first one that I had for 3 years burned up in a fire. Intex is now selling their large pools with a smaller size pump. The previous pump Model 520 @ 2000 gph was barely enough for this size pool and actually wasn't large enough. They are now selling the Model 635 @ 1500 gph with their 18' x 48' size pools. This pump is not large enough for these size pools. And the pump I received does not sound very good either. The filters are smaller which causes you to purchase more filters.

I called the company to get some help on replacing this pump for one that is comparable to the last one I had because they no longer carry the Model 520. The first rep. told me to send a fax with my complaint and they would replace my pump with something comparable. No response. I called back. The second rep basically told me Too Bad that's the pump that comes with that size pool and hung up on me. The third rep could not transfer me to a manager but said he would have one call me within 48 hours. No phone call still. Intex does not care about their consumers. They take your money and forget you. BEWARE of purchasing INTEX POOLS! Also if you notice on their website, you can't even send them an email. When you call them, the only people you can get a hold of are sales reps ready to take your money but they do not care about your concerns. I want to return this pool and I am unable to reach anyone to do so.

Beware!
