I paid my rent on the 28th of February, but my bank told me about a fraud thing on my account. So I paid the rent again on March 2nd using money orders and added $400 extra for the next month. They not only charged me $150 for being late, but they also slapped me with a $75 fee for not having enough funds. My lease clearly says that rent is late on the 4th and the fee is only $35, not $75. I've tried contacting them more than 20 times and showed them proof of payment, but they still won't give me my credit or take off the late fee. They won't even bother calling me back.

My name is *** and I used to live in the Indigo West Apartment Homes. My old place was ***. I moved out in November , and I've been dealing with these issues ever since. I've been sending emails and going to the office, trying to get things sorted. I talked to Amicka G and also spoke with you once. She only responds to my emails when she feels like it, which is not very professional. But the reason I'm emailing you now is because my balance was $6,620.16 when I moved out. I brought three checks to your office since then. One for $1,178, then one for $4,620.16, and the last one I gave to Israel for $1,178. I was told that Amicka would deposit the checks within 24 hours. I came in on 4/11/2022 to get my move-out statement, and I also checked with Conam. They're saying I owe $822.00, which is wrong because if you add up the checks you received, I paid $6,976.16. That means I should have a credit of $356. I think my last check wasn't deposited. When I told Amicka that I had one more check coming, she told me not to pay you guys. But I did anyway. She said I would have a credit and that I should just pay the $822.00 in cash and save my last check for my next apartment. I thought that was really strange because the check would be addressed to Indigo West. I don't know if this is some kind of scam or if something went wrong. But I've paid my full balance since early this year, and I have a bunch of emails between me and Amicka with no results. This is stopping me from finding a new place to live. I've been homeless since November, living out of my car and staying with friends because of this. No apartment will accept me with a balance. I've always had a great rental history since I was 18 years old. This is the first time I've ever had to deal with something like this, and it's causing me a lot of stress and anxiety. From 7/30 to 8/29, I had a lease with Indigo West apartments in Metrowest, Orlando, Florida. I paid my lease on time every month. During the lease, the apartment above us flooded, causing mold problems. They kept painting over it, but it kept coming back. It was a constant issue and affected our health. Management took photos of the problem. I thought there were no extra charges, but today I received a call from a debt collector asking for an additional $1400. When we moved out, we cleaned the apartment even better than when we moved in. The carpet was the same, except for a spot caused by the flooding. We couldn't control that. I have photos and work orders to prove it. We constantly had work orders for the growing spot, roaches, and mold. We had to leave early because of the mold and our health, but we still paid the full lease. A year ago, when they said there was still a balance, I contacted Indigo West, Billing, and corporate. Billing always said they were waiting on management, and management said they were taking care of it. I don't understand why they still think I owe them. I still haven't received my deposit back. I should have been compensated for the times I had to go to the doctor because of the mold and the mold kit I had to buy to protect myself. This issue hasn't been resolved, and it's not fair that it went to collections. I always paid rent on time. I can't control mold, and I shouldn't be responsible for replacing the carpet that was damaged by the mold and flooding.

Me and my wife, we applied to live at Indigo West apartments knowing we qualify for everything. We paid a bunch of money in application and holding deposit fees. We both got full-time jobs and make way more than the rent, and our credit scores are great. A few weeks later, I reached out to the office to ask if they needed more papers 'cause I hadn't heard back from them. They said they'd check it out and let us know. 'Cause of the hurricane, they said they were busy. I told 'em that if they needed more papers, just tell me and I'd give 'em. Then we got an email sayin' we got denied. I get that it happens to lots of people, but when I called 'em to find out why, the first problem came up. Chanterica told me that they don't actually make that decision. She said some other company called On-Site makes the final call. She gave me their number too. So I called 'em up to ask for more info and sent 'em more papers like bank statements through their website. On-Site told me it takes 'em between 5 to 30 days to review. I called Indigo West again 'cause the apartment was listed on their website again, and Michelle told me I gotta wait for On-Site's review. I called On-Site again to explain how urgent it was 'cause our application showed we wanted to move in on December 1st, and the apartment we applied for was back on the website. Then they told us the truth. On-Site said they don't actually make any decisions. It's the manager at Indigo West who decides. They just look at a report online from them, that's it. So I called Indigo West again, and Michelle told me the apartment we got denied for ain't available no more, someone else already took it, and there's nothin' else they can do.
